  1. The price paid for Watkins is a non-factor in this decision... it is a sunk cost. If the front office determines that WR provides the best value in relation to need, you go for it without looking back. Looking at need vs player rankings, I think Lattimore, Adams or Hooker represent more potential wins, but it's doubtful any are available at 10. Assuming they haven't given up hope on Jones, I think they look at WR (Davis or Williams) or CB (Conley, Jones).
  2. Justin Hunter hasn't signed anywhere yet, right? He seemed to have some chemistry with Tyrod and is a legitimate WR3, while we seem to be signing WR4 and WR5 types. If we end up with Davis or Williams in the draft, a WR core of Watkins, Davis/Williams and Hunter is a big upgrade over last season. Claibourne is an option at CB. Cruz is not a viable option based upon last season in my opinion.
  3. There's absolutely no reason to trade up.
  4. If the Pats somehow turn Butler into Gillmore and a 1st, I'll call "the fix is in"... It'd be like turning a backup QB and the last pick of the first round into the first overall pick and Bradin Cooks...
  5. Where's Pegula's jet? It doesn't seem to be getting much use this off season, so maybe its available?
  6. Cordarelle Patterson could be more than JAG WR3. If he's cheap, he's a direction I'd look. He just strikes me as a Doug Whaley type "redemption" project.
  7. Call Doug with your hot take before it is too late!
  8. At the price and terms reported, i'm in favor... at the price he's more affordable than most "bridge" QBs that they could have signed, and he actually gives you a chance to be competitive now.
  9. For what it's worth... maybe the mole at One Bills Drive is gone now.
  10. I enjoy mowing my lawn - there's nothing a like a cold beer immediately following - but since having kids, I pay someone else to do it now. I work a healthy amount of hours, and I found that I was having to mow in the evening or first thing on the weekends. I started to resent having to mow rather than spending that time with my kids, who I may only see a couple of non sleeping hours a day as it is. We also hired someone to come in and clean the house every other week (dusting, mopping, etc). Combined the services cost us less than $200/month and frees us both from a lot of stress. It's well worth it in my opinion.
  11. Is there an option for a sign and trade?
  12. I think Unitas was a FA signing for the Colts after Pittsburg cut him, but that doesn't fit your criteria I imagine. Fitzmagic did alright for himself Mark Bulger was a cast off of the Saints and Falcons before going to the Rams. Hasselbeck is the best answer I can think of recently
  13. "Exclusive neighborhood" strikes me as wording that may violate fair housing guidelines/laws.
  14. OJ Simpson was still a hero, and the world hadn't heard of Snoop Dog yet - aside from that, not much has changed. Politicians are still crooked, we're still fighting in the middle east and kids still don't respect their elders.
  15. Until Darren Sproles runs over him putting him in the concussion protocol.
  16. Obviously I don't know him personally off the field, but I do know what I my eyes show me each and every week.... and that's a player that shies away from contact on a routine basis. He's hardly "shut down" - but that I blame as much on our defensive front's sometime lack of pressure as I do his physical skills. To that end, on the field... courageous he is not. I'd vote AW for a Courageous Award.
  17. The black rubber pellets from our field would get caught in his sandals too. He's at a strategic disadvantage anyway you look at it. Now if we want to get biblical, give me some Samson on the O-line. His hair wouldn't be a liability.
  18. Buwahahahaha. Obviously the committee has never seen him in a one on one tackle scenario.
  19. Elite: 1. Aaron Rodgers 2. Tom Brady 3. Drew Brees 4. Ben Rothlisberger 5. Matt Ryan Definite Franchise Quarterbacks: 6. Philip Rivers 7. Russell Wilson 8. Andrew Luck 9. Matthew Stafford 10. 20. Do I include meals and "entertainment" while in town for games? Season tickets Avg. $1000+/- per season after considering what I've sold and kept over 10 years: $10,000. Hotel, Tolls, Gas, Meals, Tailgate essentials, and Bar Bills 4 x a season: Avg $1560/season = $15,600 Miscellaneous merchandise throughout the decade: $1,000 Single mother's we've put through nursing school on Aero Drive - I shutter when I think of the figure. Easily in the $25-50k range total.
  21. I'd much rather take a chance on Josh Gordon
  22. +1 His accuracy makes up for his poor mechanics at the college level - Not sure it will be the same with bigger/faster/better corners covering his receivers. He threw a lot of passes of his back foot in the pocket in that video and his delivery is flawed.
