When the play strarted, the line of scrimmage was the opposite 47 yard line (53 yards from the endzone). A draw for 3 yards would get them to the 50 yard line. 50 + 18=68 yards. I stand by my math and my post.
Two options were forward and immediately down or make it to the sideline. He tried to do both and didn't. Not his fault, not Josh's. The battered line held taking them out of range, and then collapsed on the final play.
At the Miami 47 following the holding call- a draw gets you 3 yards? That puts the ball on the 50 which equates to a 68 yard kick. That would be a new NFL record.
The Chargers and Herbert are a photocopied version of the Bills and Allen. They're really similar, but not quite as sharp.
Mahomes is a point guard playing QB that can also throw it a mile. His ability to elude tackles and throw from any angle is unmatched. Allen and Mahomes are different QBs, but both are winners and the best in the game.
Cleveland really screwed the rest of the league with that Watson contract.
If Baltimore franchise tags him in 2023, I believe the figure is currently around $45 million. In 2024 it's around $54 million.
That Allen deal looks better and better.... Imagine paying $40 million more over the next 2 years for Lamar Jackson vs. Allen.
In the NFC, I think TB is likely the favorite, with LAR, GB, SF (maybe NO) all in the mix.
From the AFC, I'd take Buffalo, LAC, KC over LAR, with Cincy, Denver, Baltimore, Colts and Raiders all in the same tier.
The fact that we don't need to rush/force a first round pick is a blessing. Both had meaningful snaps last night and both played well for their roles. Having depth isn't a bad thing.
From a fan perspective - it's no different than watching with people that are big into fantasy. Personally, I did away with fantasy sports a few years ago, and for me it made watching the games more enjoyable.
I think the loss of Miller really hurts their defense - for both their DL and the DBs. Ramsey has always been boom or bust (like Diggs brother). When he makes the INT he's great, but he gets burned a lot too.
I couldn't believe how little they used Allen Robinson last night.
I don't think they'll be NFC favorites, but they're playoff caliber.
Taking the tires off of a racecar midway through Daytona when you're in the hunt to win - you wouldn't expect them to be thrown on another car in the back of the pack and be valuable. With the exception of Levi, the rest were high mileage guys replaced with fresher options.
