Byrd is only hurting himself as any future team will see him as apotential cancer/self absorbed supposed superstar and hurt his ability to sign with anyone other than the Raiders or Jets.
If we are truly trying to compete then somehow this team has got to find , now or in near future depth on the OL and also defensive backfield. To be 20 million or so under the cap and not have a vetereran CB or OL to bring in for a few games due to injuries is a sin. We could also use a veteran QB off the bench as well. If we truly are going to compete in this injury prone league this is a necessity for us to be taken seriously. Time for The front office to step up as we have a good young upcoming team but no depth. Just look at our backups at C, G and T on the offensive line. Too risky unless we don't want to compete with real teams.
If I was TJ or Easley or any of the other subs like Hogan, etc I'd volunteer all night long to work on routes with both QBs throwing. we need like a remedial route class for this team.
But our QB looks like he is throwing darts during short passes and the shot put on long passes whereas Wilson looks like the throws mechanically much better....
I think when Kiko gains 20 Lbs and wears bigger shoulder pads all this will end and he will be a run stopper as well as excelelnt in coverage. We also need Bradham to get invovled somehow.
I think there are certain colleges, maybe USC that makes it madatory for all OL to wear knee braces as a preventive measure. Do not see how it could hurt us.
Next year Round 1: CB, Round two : G, Rnd 3: free saftey, Rnd 4: Outside LB, Rnd 5: OL, Rnd 6: DB, Rnd 7: DB, Somehow sign a free agent TE with all star level skills....., not a mediocre blocking TE that can't run.....
Seems lkieTJ can't cut or run routes. Maybe end a round a few times, quick slants or bubble screens. Other than that I'd start Easley, Woods and SJ and avoid TJ.
"Turnstyle" Brown," Toast" Rodgers," Cant Separate" Graham and "Throws like a girl downfield" EJ.
Lawson was great at LB today. Must have had 15 tackles.....
