  1. This is absolutely the most frustrating thing. Spiller and Best are very similar players, but obviously Buffalo is so amazingly inept that we can't get any production from a talent like CJ.
  2. Shaun Hill, Detroit's second string QB threw for 335 yards, something we as bills fan haven't seen our QB do since 2006. I can't understand how so many teams bench warmers are still leagues ahead of anything on our team. But yes 200+ passing yards would be some exciting Bills football.
  3. I have a friend who gave up on the Bills and went to the Jets as his team. I have no idea how you make that switch. At least with Fitz there may be some excitement on offense, who knows it happened last year. I'm in a good place with the team, I have zero expectations so I am not set up for any heartbreak. I'll go to all the home games, watch all the away games, and hope for some excitement.
  4. Not true, didn't Freddy toss a 27 yard TD strike to Evans last year.
  5. I WAS looking forward to the Browns year as I thought this was the year we finally beat them. As of now I don't know if there are any sure games on our schedule. It seems we are being passed up by the long running suck teams. The Bills offense has to be the most unexciting football ever conceived.
  6. Yes obviously we have been here before. Trent has the physical tools but prefers not to use them. Fitz doesn't quite have that but he has a will to play and I would rather watch that any day over Edwards refusel to play.
  7. It is not like I don't want him to succeed, I will gladly be the first in line for you to say I told you so.
  8. At least everyone else on offense is "trying" to do their jobs as poorly as it may be. Trent could have the great wall of China infront of him and he would still refuse to throw the ball unless the receiver is wide open. So by that logic he deserves the most blame for what we witnessed Sunday (which isn't any different then several games last year). So I would rather see Fitz or Brohm in there throwing the ball around as ugly as it may be. Do I expect them to make us contenders....absolutely not, but at least they would try to move the ball.
  9. We can hope that Green Bay plays the whole game in Prevent defense, then it may just happen.
  10. Yup, I think our defense will do its best to keep us in this game. Green Bay already knows the game plan to beat our offense. Stack the box and line of scrimmage and dare Trent to beat you. We are not going to be able to run and Trent will refuse to go down field. This is week 1 (version 2.0) except Green Bay actually has an offense to fear.
  11. Maybe, we can knock out our quota of yearly Evans #1 threads sooner rather then later?
  12. I was referring to the fact that the Jets looking offensively putrid helped to ease the pain of our offensive performance. Then as I stated you are kinda comparing apples to oranges comparing the Miami D to the Ravens. But yes we are in for it the next few weeks. Maybe we can get some defensive scores?
  13. Certainly made me feel a little better about the Bills performance. But you have to look at this objectively and realize the Jets played a stout Ravens defense, while the Bills struggled against an overall unproven Miami defense.
  14. That drive looked good because Miami went to prevent defense. I enjoyed that drive as it gave us a reason to cheer at the game, and a sense that just maybe we can pull this off. I understand what your saying though, this skews Trent's performance a little. I just don't get how people didn't see the same Trent out there we saw last year after game 2. It is like a bad dream on repeat.
  15. And I am afraid that Trent is a floater, that refuses to go away.
  16. Yes perhaps, but if Trent was still behind center in this alter draft universe we would have had the exact same game as yesterday.
  17. I poop on you!
  18. Obviously trent is the best qb as he proved in camp and preseason, but he refuses to play the position when the game matters. This feels like last year all over again. How long do you allow trent to refuse to throw? Put fitz in there, he may not be the best, but he atleast has the sack to throw the ball.
  19. I don't think I have ever seen a qb telegraph their throws more then Edwards did today....talk about gawking. Regardless if receivers were open it didn't matter cause he made no progressions. I had hopes after his preseason, but Trent is unfortunately....Trent.
  20. When did I say that, I just said Fitz was clearly better at avoiding pressure last year behind the same battered line that Edwards struggled. With Gailey and company it looks like Edwards has greatly improved at that aspect and hopefully will play all 16 games.
  21. At least at Buffalo I think it is a combination of the O-Line and his poor pocket awareness. It is clear that the O-line was bad last year, but Fitz didn't have quite as bad a time behind the line because he has good mobility and awareness of what is going on. Trent just seemed to fold up or not realize pressure was on it's way. If preseason is any indication I think he has improved in those areas a bit, and maybe can make a whole season?
  22. I agree that was an ugly underthrown ball, when I saw that leave his hands I was cringing. The bright side is that Trent is taking chances and trusting his receivers. After Trent watches the tape and sees the great play Lee made to come away with the ball it will all but give him more confidence to do that more often.
  23. HAHA this is the year we take them down!
  24. That is what I saw as well....which really surprised me because typically he stares a plenty.
  25. This ran through my head after the colts game and I realized the rest of our preseason was against 3-4 defenses. You would hope Edwards has figured out the 3-4 defense as he plays against it every day in practice. I feel that Edwards has improved under Gailey, but no way to know for sure until we've seen him in a few regular games.
