What made the block by Woods illegal there?
Yes what is a peel back block?

If there was a penalty, then why the Ball not moved 5 yards forwards and then it would be 1st and 5?
My opinion is the refs just screwed up.
It was 2nd and 2, offisides = 5 yards and first down. There is the flag at the refs feet. Trust me nobody in the stadium knew what happened, it just seemed like they rushed the chains without explanation.
-
It may have been an offsides call but I could be wrong. I thought it was odd too that they marked off the yardage so fast and also did not see the ref signal what the penalty was. But the guy next to me at the game did actually see the flag.
This puzzled the heck out of me and really bothered me all night. I have game rewind and found the play this morning. You are correct there is an offsides penalty on Wynn. The flag is thrown immediately after the snap, and it was announced on the game replay as offsides. I never heard it called out while at the game though.

Now that`s really out in the boonies F I C. Lots of snow.
You piqued my interest when you said north central PA as that is always what I tell people when asked where I live. Clearfield and Warren are ranging metropolises compared to potter county.
Two hours to Buffalo and tv stations are Buffalo, but still surrounded by Stiller fans.

Just curious because I may have a job opportunity there and even though it is not very far I don't know anything about warren so im looking for some helpful feedback or general input for some information.
Maybe a drive down to visit is in order...
If you like the outdoors it is a great area for fishing, hunting, camping etc.
I live about 70 miles east of Warren but I have not been there in over 10 years, so I can't really speak to much more than that.

I did not realize I shared a birthday with EJ.

Weird Al is a Bills' Fan?
I just said that to my wife.

Good point and that's what I will try to do unless other circumstances, such as a camera coming into my way, dictate it. Even then I'll try to look around.
The stadium seems so low to the ground I'm not sure what will happen, but I am excited nonetheless.
I'm in 116 row 20, it is awesome when the action is on our side but once the play is in the opposite end zone you really can't see much. I would assume it will be even worse right on the field. As much as I try not to I end up watching the stadium board to see the plays.

So I just heard him on his weekly radio stint on WGR..... I agree with the OP!
Listened to that too and really liked his attitude. Just seems like a down to earth guy who wants to win and turn this thing around more for Buffalo then himself.

What was Brandon's response?
He just kinda laughed, said he's heard that mentioned many years ago. He said there isn't reason they couldn't, but then you would mess with ticket holders who want to sit behind the team. If you flip seats then you mess with the fans who want to sit in the sun. Said he would talk to Doug.
-
Howard Simon of WGR apparently reads this forum as he just asked Russ Brandon about switching sides. Pretty sure in the lead up of the question he mentioned it came from a forum.

I got my seasons moved to the visitors side to take advantage of late season warmth. While the sun can be brutal early season the payoff is well worth it later on.

This was a catch if you need to be consistent throughout the league. If this wasnt a catch then TJs fumble wasnt a catch.
That one confused me more that it wasn't sent to the booth. Not worth another look? As noted by the OP that is the exact same play in the Baltimore game right before halftime that was ruled incomplete.

i think carpenter atleast got a hand on him? but im not sure.
I think you are right, you can see a Bill on the ground a few yards back, so I will assume that is after Carpenter got his hands on Thigpen. Wouldn't that constitute down by contact?
-
Howard and Simon are excellent from 6-10am
I enjoy the morning show as well. Note there is no hockey hotline during the Bills season on Monday mornings. John Murphy has a show in that slot.
-
Russ Brandon just stated on WGR that there are still 7500 tickets left for the game.

Go to Bar Bill in East Aurora for beef on weck and wings.
I would second that.

I am a native. About an hour and 20 mins away from the Stadium. We consider 70's to be nice around here this time of year. Thats probably cold for you. You won't find any Kalik's around here either. I go to a relatives place in Eluethera. Usually have a layover in Nassau
I spent a week on Eleuthera in August, it was amazing. Kaliks and conche salad. I guess the Buffalo equivalent would be Labatts and chicken wings.

So were the Stevie and Chandler drops for the Bills but all of these drops go in the category of "should have been caught," IMO.
I agree, I was poking fun at Stevie's comments from his drop.
-
Brady is the Goat........................his deep ball is just money in the bank.
How dobson could drop that is beyond me.
That catch was harder then it looked.

Wouldn't park anywhere else, been coming for 4 years and have made so many friends. I think that is the earliest I've ever seen the lot fill up and even seemed like an anomaly for home opener. Appreciate the addition of two more porta johns.

I'm in that picture, that would have been a few minutes after my gameday bowling ball shot.
-
That is pretty odd to say the least. His last comment about Patrick made me laugh out loud.

I rock my Wood (jersey that is) every game day.
