Chris Johnson signs big deal per Schefter
TheBlackMamba replied to EasternOHBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he "can careless" if we think he's greedy huh? it's "couldn't care less", you uneducated prick. does he know his "fans" pay his salary, so he should watch what he says... -
http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1994-09-02/sports/9409020105_1_thurman-thomas-coach-marv-levy-darryl-talley "If the Buffalo Bills reach their fifth straight Super Bowl, it will be through no fault of their own. Blame the Miami Dolphins or the New England Patriots or the New York Jets. Blame Jim Harbaugh. Somebody no doubt will." "The annual chase of the Bills begins with the annual prediction of their imminent demise."

it's not that it was bad, it actually was pretty good. it's just there's a wait in a 3 hour line that stretches about two blocks down washington st.

Can a bust on one team be a star on another?
TheBlackMamba replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
absolutely. i think what team a player goes to is a huge factor in their success (tom brady, aaron rodgers, ben roethlisberger) there are players that had no shot to succeed because of the team they went to (joey harrington, alex smith, jp losman) then there are players that are transcendent and can change the whole course of a franchise by themselves (peyton manning, matt ryan, lawrence taylor, joe montana) -
The pastry shops in buffalo are really good (luigis, russ's, caramici's, dessert deli), but the few i went to in NYC were phenomenal. Also, Carlo's Bake Shop (cake boss) in Hoboken is not worth the 3 hour wait (just to get into the shop)!

TheBlackMamba replied to tennesseeboy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
obviously they arent better right now without evans. they are planning on getting better in the future by trading him. -
What are some the best pastry shops you all have ever been too? (Just had my first taste of DeRoberti's on Manhattans' Lower East Side and it was nothing short of phenomenal)

At What Point Do Nix and Gailey Own This Team
TheBlackMamba replied to IronyAbounds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Since arriving a year ago, Nix has waived, traded or let go four recent first-round draft choices (Maybin, Evans, Marshawn Lynch and Donte Whitner), cutting costs while shifting blame backward to the previous coach and general manager." Couldn't have said it better myself! -
Nix: Offensive line depth Bills’ main concern
TheBlackMamba replied to TheBlackMamba's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i mean i get that he thinks the starting 5 are good, but the depth sucks. i can't believe how he just realized, "oh sh*t, if someone gets hurt, we're screwed!!!", 3 weeks into camp when he had an entire season AND off-season to view tape and still didnt make any moves -
Don't make me listen to him!
TheBlackMamba replied to Defend Greece's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like: Ian Eagle, Gus Johnson, Chris Collinsworth, Jim Nance Dislike: Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Phil Simms and Dan Dierdorff -
...or the fact they are all 4-3 LB's and don't really fit the scheme...
-
yea, that and the whole fact he just signed with a super bowl contender. it's not that the bills dont pursue players, it's that nobody wants to sign here, yet. when they do sign players, they have to overpay (i.e brad smith, derrick dockery, langston walker, etc...) and then the board has a sh*t fit with how much the bills pay these players...

Whitner signs with Cincy
TheBlackMamba replied to Mike In Illinois's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
so much for dontes "heart being in Buffalo"... -
has anyone taken into account that he's "dominating" against demetrius bell and erik pears???? i'm not saying he's not "back" but let's see how he does against d'brickashaw ferguson and jake long before we're ready to give him training camp all pro nods...
-
he's also a 4-3 defensive end. he doesn't fit this scheme. he would have to move to OLB and who knows how he would do there...

Nate Clements being released
TheBlackMamba replied to richNjoisy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
never thought he was worth that $80 mill. all i can remember is chris chambers eating hiim up for 3 td's and like 240 yards for a dolphins second half comeback win. -
How about replacement owners?
TheBlackMamba replied to JimKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
because the players are employees and the owners own their business. -
he's 28! he's had 6 full off seasons and 6 full training camps and he is still going to be a 55% passer and around 70-75% qb rating the qb play around here has been so piss poor the last 15 years, this is actually an improvement, but he is not a long term answer.
-
I don't understand why this is such a debate. He is what he is. He's a 55% passer who will throw 20-25 td's and 15-20 int's. Everybody loves him. Fans. FO. Teammates. He's a great leader and a gamer but nobody wants him to be their starter for longer than 1-2 years. He is an excellent backup (hence why his 4 games before Baltimore were outstanding, because that what backs are supposed to do, win 1-4 games for your team) and the rest of the year he showed who he really is. He doesn't have an accurate enough arm. Over throws and under throws too many passes but will pull the occasion play out of his backside that has everyone saying "Wow, this guy has the potential to be great"

What's the best Pizza place in the city?
TheBlackMamba replied to Bill Cowher's topic in Off the Wall Archives
1. Bocce 2. Casa Di Pizza 3. Leonardis -
NGU, as always i/we all appreciate you taking time out of your day to inform us on what's going on at OBD! Is there any truth to the Blaine Gabbert Rumors? I am truly hoping that what you say about AJ Green and Von Miller is true but if they feel Gabbert is that "franchise guy, that you can win with for 10 years", then we all just have to hope their right!
