  1. we do not need a blocking wideout. we need someone who can get OPEN besides lee evans, preferably someone over 6'
  2. some may say theres no debate here. i say joe montana TF was more innovative beacause it featured the first full commentary on plays (even though it was 3 plays late). without JMT maybe the madden crze doesnt become what it is today.
  3. teco bowl??? come on...we are in the madden age now lol but since we're on the subject remeber joe montana talking football? the commentator would be 3 plays late on every call
  4. we will win a super bowl when we: trade peters for 5 first rounders trade marshawn lynch for anquan boldin get a TE, a backup QB, 2 pass rushing ends, a DT, 2 LB's, a FS, a SS, a Center, a RG, a new Coach and a new Owner i dont know about the rest of you...but im pysched about our chances!
  5. u are all missing one huge difference btw the two teams. when trent goes down with a bruised self esteem this bills team has the CHROISE to fill in. game, set, match fellas
  6. it was not stop andre reed! the game plan was for the giants to run the ball and have time consuming drives to keep the bills offense off the field as evidenced by the 8 minute drive before the half and the 10 minute drive to start the 3rd quarter. im sorry this board is way to myopic. to sit here and say that andre desrves to get in over chris carter this year is absurd. the stats dont lie guys. i am not stating that andre reed wasnt great but he is going to be waiting an awfully long time to get into the hall with tim brown and jerry rice coming up in the next few years
  7. basically what i am trying to say is to be a hall of famer you should have exceptional numbers in the regular season (rice, carter, moss, brown, harrison) or do something special in the playoffs (rice, irvin, swan) and have some championships to back it up (rice, swan irvin) reed had great numbers at the time but every year he falls further down the list of catches, yards and td's
  8. mc d read all of the posts first...i started out saying reed wasnt as hall of fame worthy as rice, carter, moss, and harrison...and lv said explain to him why carter is a hall of famer
  9. thank u for clarifying my point. he is the second most prolific receiver in almost every major receiving category of all time with 8 different quaterbacks. its as easy as this: they both played 16 seasons and carter has 43 more touchdowns, 701 more rec. yards, 150 more catches and 1 more pro bowl case closed.
  10. yes....stop making these "keys to success" threads...every bills fans knows that they need and it has been beaten to death for about a month
  11. lmao...that just about covers every single daily thread
  12. he had randy moss to help him out for 3 years...he was already considred on of the best receievers of all time befroee moss got there. he is second all time in receptions and td's. he had jim mcmahon (at the twiligh of his career), sean salibury, wade wilson, a 78 yr old warren moon and randall cunningham as he qb not jim kelly (a hall of famer)
  13. does it really stick out to average nfl fans or just to us bills fans? i would tend to think that most nfl fans think more of the bills as a whole that game because it was the greatest comeback in nfl hostory he also took a terrible personal foul (even though he was interferred with)
  14. there no denying andre was great and a top 5 receiver of his time but ts debatable whether he is a hall of famer. i think he will get in but he is going to be waiting a while, just like art monk and lynn swan
  15. what??? their success was based on andre reed??? i beg to differ...i believe it was based more on kelly being able to run the offense and thurman thomas. andre reed has even admitted that he was not the first, not the second but the 3rd option on the team. was jerry rice montana or youngs 3rd option? was chris carter the 3rd option? i think not
  16. no way....u get some chiavettas or whatever kind of bbq sauce you like...marinate the wings the night before and grill them up (on charcoal grill)..phenomenal!
  17. i think colin cowherd says it best...if u can sum up why a player is a hall of famer in one sentence then he belongs there. i am not so sure u can do that with andre reed. he was one of the premier receivers of his time but: A: he scored 10 td's or more just once (where as the jerry rices, chris carters, randy moss, marvin harrisons, etc.. have B: he never had a game that sticks out to anyone else besides bills fans C: never came up big in the super bowls D: never won a super bowl E: with each passing year he falls further down the the major receiving categories
  18. now this is a REAL thread...i'd say u can flip a coin btw chilli and grilled chicken wings
  19. or a trade marshawn lynch thread
  20. these trade threads are getting almost ridiculous as eveyone posting "key moves to make in the off-season" threads ridiculous...you guys do realize it is to make trades in this leage right? (which is why you dont see many of them)
  21. im pretty sure forida proved that even if bama had joe namath back there they werent going to win that game
  22. guys, face it the ralph is a dump. when the meadows lands close this year it will be one of the oldest stadiums in the league. guess it's kind of intimidating for opposing teams to come in hear and have to play in such a dump because of the swirling winds and the crowd noise but it is wayyyy out-dated. i mean what cold-weather, open stadium plays with grassy-turf, instead of real grass (i.e. pittsburgh, cleveland, green bay, new england, etc...). By the way i have been to cleveland stadium and heinz field. both stadiums are awesome. the are both easily accessible because both are downtown. both provide an up to date stadium while not losing the craziness of the fans.
  23. i cannot root for the ravens based on the fact of willis mcgahee playing there, ray lewis getting away with murder and that joe flacco has already been inducted into saint-hood
  24. you gotta root for the Cards...Kurt Warner is 75 and making a run at the hall of fame if he goes/wins the super bowl ...larry fitz is a class act as is ken whisenthunt...plus there is something to like about a team that hasnt won a playoff game since 1949 and is now hosting the NFC championship
