  1. The bottom line is RW payed to get Polian in house. Supporting a poor team is fine (I'm also a Cleveland Indians fan), however rewarding an organization that maintains Jauron, maintains a substandard scouting staff, and refuses to spend the money necessary is wrong. The money "undercap" that we achieve goes to RW's pocket. This isn't right because The CBA in the NFL, pays for salaries. This money comes from TV revenue that is split equally. Therefore every team has the same cap and the same capacity to spend. I know of course that marketing and high end tickets come into play but that shouldn't have that much of an impact. Bottom line is Ralph ALWAYS makes money just not as much as some other markets.
  2. The fact that the Bills suck doesn't bother me. I have been a Bills true fan for years and years and have suffered endless years of frustration. What bothers me is that people BUY TIK"S, when the could talk with their wallets. Why should that loser Wilson do anything when he's rewarded for his incompentence? Years ago, in the mid 80's , the Bills sold 30K seats for a game , Wilson bitched but brought in Polian and the rest is history. We don't even have a football GM now, I think we're the only team to hold that honor. This team blows, are offense now has a 34 year old train wreck as a wide reciever as its marquee guy. We has an "O" line in shambles with rookies galore and other guys playing new positions. Our QB is very unproven with an average arm and a history of injury. Our 1st pick was selected about 15 picks too early and better suited for a team that can afford a luxury of a one down guy at best. The problem is all the sheep that follow. So call me anything you want, but your not helping.
  3. Here's a better idea, get a life.. These lists are personal, If I say I can't stand Jim Kelly that's my right..It's not for debate because its an OPINION . It's not based on statistics. Also, "dummest" was intentional because Smith actually spelled it that way in an article he wrote. But so many of you are stupid critics. Maybe it's because you support a Bill's team that has no future. They suck and anyone intellegent sees that.
  4. Because you hate the post??? Go bury your hand in the sand, this line sucks!
  5. This is just as personal as the my other pleasant list, no right or wrong answers.. These are local guys I HATED, buecause I thought they sucked, in one way or another(at least to me).. No coaches on this list:) 1) Marvin Barnes-- He destroyed everything he touched and the our NBA went away! 2) Joe Cribbs-- always whinning , talented but me first 3) Christian Laetner-- Yeah a hero at Nichols and Duke but as selfish as they come. 4)Richard Smelick(sp?).. Couldn't stand him.. Seemed like he was a -100 every year. and a wimp to boot 5)Joe Mesi-- Accomplished zero by beating stiffs 6)Alex Molginy-- all that talent all that B.S. 7)Miro Satan-- See above 8)Bills first round busts-- too many to mention..From patulski to M Williams 9) Elmore Smith-- The dummest player to ever play in the NBA 10)Norwood- nuff said!
  6. what's nice is there is no right or wrong answers, its not even an opinion. It's just very personal...
  7. Yeah, 120 players were drafted before him, should be a "tremendous" loss if he doesn't play!
  8. These top 10 , are my favorite local flavored atheletes. I feeel sad about Randy Smith so I felt like reliveing the past. 1) Randy Smith -- Not because he just passed away , but because of my memories of him. Actually he goes very underated as local hero's. 2) Warren Spahn-- One of the greatest pitchers of all time who kept his South Buffalo Roots. 3) Jim Schoenfeld-- "Bled" his passion.. What an example for young people 4) Kent Hull-- It all came together when he got here. The others got the glory but he was the glue. I question how successful we would have been without him. 5) Bob Lanier, Calvin Murphy-- I lump these guys together. Brought fame to this area. Great era of local B. Ball 6)Cliff Robinson another local standout that goes unnoticed. I think he excelled in the NBA to the age of 50 7) Darryl Talley - The soul of the "D" 8) Bob Chandler--- Talk about Mr. Dependable. Loved this guy 9) Mike Foligno-- I miss his passion, His enthusiasm with his trademark jump is priceless 10) Steve Christie-- We took his kicking for granted. He won a gezillion games in the last minute of play
  9. Randy Smith died but his memories live on.. I thought this guy was fantastic and is really underated as a local sports legend.
  10. CBS Sports has the early power rankings and have the Bills 19th, and 4th in the EAST Pete Prisco of CBS, considers 4 main positions of football (in hiis opinion of course) QB, L tackle, pass rusher, CB). He says these are key to success and has the Bills at 31th overall here. Specfically, Edwards (23), Walker (31), Schoebel (27), and McKelvin (22) respective to their positions. 7-9 will be an amazing feat this year! Glad he didn't rate the front office or the coaches, what a joke!
  11. Good responses guys (mostly).. I too would like to see an improvement but even if we do improve our 3 AFC opponents improved even more. Add to the fact they all having better coaching at all levels if you think experience counts. Ralph Wilson is the jerk, he won't spend money that he has made on football for football and he won't even sell the team. It is so strange though that ticket sales are through the roof. Pre-Kelly years we couldn't get 35K for the games because we sucked. Now we have fallen to that level and people still cheer on. I expect 3-13 and hope I'm wrong. But again in 2010 we will have a "great draft" and will have signed FA's that are not apart of any starting lineup but we see "stars in the making", and marketing will find a new angle to sell the masses on. The angle will be a new head coach with new assistances who want to build a "tough" team. This coach will be a loser or a previous assistant with no experience. and people will be satisfied. and so it goes.
  12. Hope I have, but I'm no fool like some of you sheep are
  13. Another "see no evil, hear no evil" fan... Just because you WANT them to be good doesn't mean they will
  14. Finally intelligent remarks on this web site. It's refreshing to respond to remarks that aren't made by cheerleaders. The Bills , I'm afraid will leave the ranks of medorocity to joins the ranks of the Lions. They haven't done much to really improve this team. T.O. is on the down of his career and is the only FA who was an established starter in the NFL. The OL is in shambles with no anchor, we still have Kelsey and Ellison as starters, we have no NFL T.E., we have a joke for a coaching staff and no General Manager.. Free agents only come here for leverage, to get paid more than their worth, or because no one wants them.. But I know after 3-13 this year, Buffalo sheep fans will praise next year's draft and love signing other F.A.'s no one wants..
  15. How many guys do we have that are in the top ten at their respective positions? On offense Evans and maybe Lynch , that's it.. On "D" maybe Schoebel? , maybe Stroud? I think McKelvin will be there too but not in 2009.. That's it, how pathetic,.. Hard to be an optimist when the talent level is a joke !
  16. That says it all because he got burnt so much last year.
  17. This is the kind of offensive line that develops in other cities when the starters are "decimated" due to injury. There is nothing to be optimistic about 5 players playing new positions in the NFL . and 2 of them are rookies. This line is a joke and topping that off we have an OL coach that is OJT.. Good luck Edwards , 50/50 he lasts to game 4..
  18. Execellent article and more truth than fiction.. This is the way it is, like it or not.
  19. Only made you mad because for the most part, it's accurate! Too much cheerleading for a pathetic team.
  20. Yes we had 14 last year and now that our line sucks even more, I will say 12 total.. 4 for TO, 3 for Evans, 4 for RB's, and 1 for the TE...
  21. Any different than predicting out Offensive line will be successful as many of you do?? Why would anyone "predict" that?? Oh I know, BECAUSE THE BILLS MANAGEMENT HAVE TOLD US SO, SO IT MUST BE TRUE !! I can sure trust them after a decade of screwing things up.. Do you cheerleaders feel good that we will probably have 2 rookies starting among a line that has probably no one returning to their position of last year?? Walker looks like our LT but he sucked on the pitiful Raiders and was average at best with us. Is he our best lineman or is it Butler who is a young guard learning to play OT.. Maybe its Hangartner who never could crack the starting lineup on his other teams accept thru injury... Yup, beleive the Bills Management that we're better... Rah Rah Rah
  22. "We have to be patient with our young offensive line. It takes time to work together and avoid all those breakdowns that are occuring. Also we have to work harder on those off-side penalities that unfortunately occurs when 5 guys who have almost never played together including 2 rookies have to be on the same page. I do see progress however." Why is Dick saying this? Our offensive line is creating virtually no holes for our running game and our team is leading the league in sacks allowed .. Yes we are 0-4
