I disagree when we're talking talent.. Clement and Winfield are far better on the field then their replacements. I'm not worried about money, all these guys are overpayed. The salaries , for the most part comes from TV , and it is equal. Ralph CHOOSES to be cheap, that's the problem. Is Peters overpaid ? probably , but he's far better than the stiff Walker? Even Dockery is probably better this year at least then the rookies that are PROJECTED to start.. Time will tell

Sorry if the truth hurts.. When the season starts, I'll be like the rest of you cheering on every play, but the off season gives you time to reflect on this mess of a team. Whenever anyone actually is on the verge of becoming a star in this league with Buffalo, they are traded or lost (Peters, Winfield, Clemens, etc.) . We are counting on the 100+ draft pick to be a starter on the O-Line and waste our first pick on a DE with one year of college experience and severly undersized? We move players around like chess pieces because they're tweeners. We have a coach who is a loser in 7 of 8 years and recently goes 2-8 , hell we don't even have a football GM ; and you expect optimism? 3-13

Could Owens stay in Buffalo long-term?
busterramsey replied to Pitta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure why not? A 38 year old wide-out for 2010.. Sounds about right -
Don't you get it? This message board isn't for realism, its for fantasy.. Jauron does stink.. The OLine Does stink. The team is very very average . We have no TE . We have no pass rush.. We have really no stars let alone superstars unless your talking about a 37 year old wide receiver.

6-5

Just my opinion, yes 3-13. I believe they have not helped themselves while other AFC teams have. Hopefully I'm wrong. Been wrong many times before.

Yes I should spell it out, I forgot my audience. "Irrelevant" means "not important to the issue at hand" or "not applicable".. Winning is certainly not important to you sheep who cheer for the Bills , if it was you wouldn't accept mediocrity as you do. Therefore winning is irrelevant to you being a fan... Hope that helps.
-
LOL!!! You're good !
-
"Irrelevant" means not important .. "winning" Having a higher score more often than not. Hope that helps!

Irrelevant to winning
-
Absolutely, if you're not cheering than you shouldn't be heard. The Bills suck and the fans here are just enabling them to continue down this loser path of futility. We have a mess of an "O" line with 2 unproven rookies who were good in college but not dominant and pegged to start, we have a stiff at LT, an average second yr guard who will go to RT and a center who was a back-up at Guard for someone else who only started there when others got hurt. This doesn't spell success to me ! Buffalo also has a loser coaching staff, losing GM (Is their a GM?) Oh yeah , we drafted a guy way to early on our first pick to be DE who played one year in college and is clearly one-dimensional. Maybe he can be a 3-down player... in 2012. I am a transplanted Buffalonian from Philly and there winning was important not just being satisfied for a team and an excuse to get drunk on Sunday's. Wise up Buffalo or is this all you can expect?
-
Add to that one of the worst coaching staffs in the NFL and you have the makings of a 3-13 season..
-
In the land of hope, any change is deemed an improvement. But the facts and probablity says they will suck big time. With virtually 5 new starters including 2 rookies and a stiff pretending to be a LT, coupled with a coaching staff with no successful track record, Edwards will be seeing a lot of stars both in his mind and in the sky. The ownership has let us down again.
-
To put it more clearly , this line is a joke for 2009. 5 starters include 2 unproven rookies, 1 second year guy learning a new position w/o much of a pedigree anyway, a pick-up in Hangartner who never earned the right to be called starter and a stiff at LT.. Don't forget too our coaching staff doesn't have a good track record either. 3-13 is our destiny.
-
Uh-Oh heart Throb, you speak the truth and that is not acceptable here. To be honest, the rest of the AFC East has improved and I see us in "Lions " territory.. Complete shambles. 3-13 . But Ralph will be vindicated with 55K more people next year buying season tiks so why change, therin lies the problem.

IMO Joe would be a very good QB. Any intelligent person understands your very good question

Recipe for a free Agent signing
busterramsey replied to busterramsey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry if it's too deep for you.. -
The following is the criteria for signing a free agent, There are the "contenders" (Pat's, Eagles, etc.) and the "pretenders" ( Bills , Bengals, etc.) Order of Importance: Contending teams: 1) Ability, regardless of age 2) Need by position 3) Salary Cap ROOM 4) Established Starters All salaries paid by TV revenue per CBA Pretenders: 1) Salary (not cap ) 2) Need 3)Chemistry 4) prefer those hungry to start All salaries paid by TV revenue per CBA Do you see something wrong here?

Sounds like all the other starters we have

Nice to see some honest points on this board.. Being a Bills fan doesn't mean to accept the company line like the countless sheep living here.. This teams sucks on paper and is getting worse and it stems from the top.. We were 7-9 the last couple of years due to special teams , that will catch up to them.. They are obviously looking for experienced OL people as well as OLB.. Fitzpatrick is a joke as a QB, lovingly called "noodle arm" . Walker our LT?? He sucked in Oakland..2 rookie guards starting maybe , hahahaha.. and a center who wasn't even a center at Indy , just a career back-up.. Who is the TE?? Owens, 35 yoa and a prima donna, yeah that should work.. and on "D", everyone always pushes us around and I don't see that changing. We drafted a one-dimensional DE with one year of experience in college..He might be OK .... in 2011 3-13.. if we're lucky!

My Top 46 Bills Players This Season
busterramsey replied to Kenwick's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LMO when I read that... You must be living in a dream world.. QB maybe OK, Edwards is more experienced, but needs to stay healthy and that's a tall order. He has a history of being brittle, his back-ups are bums. RB's see OL OL - This unit will suck.. Rookies and 2nd year players learning new positions. I have reservations if either or both rookies will even start.. With this group of misfits, the RB's will have no areas to run which is why we're looking for gimmicks already, like a no huddle . WR-- see OL'.. I like this group if Edwards would have time.. TE-- Worst in the NFL, they can't block or catch DL- adequate at best. Stroud played for a new contract last year. Schobel, overated got his sacks against weak opponents in meaningless situations in the past. Maybin? Big gamble here needlessly one year of college? projected to go much farther down the draft maybe OK but not this year ... Kelsey, another loser LB Ellison is a joke the rest are adequate DB- Well considering they have about 12 , they should be OK. 3-13 ! -
every coach in every camp across the NFL says the following: We had a good camp Everyone worked hard but we have a lot of work to do. Some rookies impressed me. Jauron should be saying " how the Hell am I going to win with this no talent bunch of guys. hey Wilson, get me a few studs that are in their prime. You want me to win with a bunch or rookies? Well I suck anyway as a coach so it doesn't matter"
-
Your too kind actually, Brady is back, and both the Dolphins and Jets improved their offense so I expect a setback. 3-13 is a reasonable expectation.
