JMO but I think Kelce is a still a far superior route runner to Knox (though Knox improved greatly this season). It's not that he's a speedster, it's the brains. He has that Beasley-like gift for dissecting a zone and seeing where the gaps are likely to be, understanding how the D is playing them and what they're likely to give up, and getting there. Then, he's unabashedly physical as a route runner. We started to see more physicality from Knox, but last season for a big athletic guy Knox just wasn't very physical. Kelce will break arms and ankles and put you on your ass if you're not careful.

Mic'd up: Kelce outsmarted McDermott/Frazier
Hapless Bills Fan replied to beebe's topic in The Stadium Wall
Others have pointed out that the alignment they came out in was a shell pre-snap and that post-snap they rotated to a different look. But the Chiefs had a good idea how the Bills were going to play it -

Again - why do you feel that Frazier and McDermott are not aligned in defensive philosophy? When Sean says "execution", it's pretty clear he doesn't just mean players because he says "starts with me" -

Why do you think Frazier's philosophy of defense differs from McDermotts? -
Sean Payton stepping down as the Saints coach

I mean, technically Mickey Loomis is the GM. I don't know I'm asking .....is he just a yes-man for Payton or what's the deal? -
Chief Fans Make Donations to Childrens Hospital

Karma's a B word. Chiefs didn't clinch the deal last season. Never know, Bengals could beat them (they did just 2 weeks ago) or could lose some key players during that game and go down to the Lambs or the 9ers. I agree. -

I know the guy works out and is in good shape for 47, but really - Sean McDermott in the "altogether", that's what you wanna see? -

It was a fair ask on his part. Don't take it personally. -

I understand that as well as anyone and better than most, my point is that the fact that two of the high draft picks we did dedicate to offense aren't contributing as hoped, influences the perception of under-investment on offense. -

Computer: 1) Hover over their screen name. Popup window will appear. Choose "ignore user" 2) Click on your screen name. Choose "ignored users" from the dropdown menu, then "add new user to ignored options". This is the faster route if you want to add multiple dudes -

Alpha, this has been discussed here. @BADOLBILZ posted some analysis on it, I posted some analysis on it. And there are different ways of looking at it. -If you want to look at draft pick investment, you can look at (say) picks in the top 3 rounds since 2018 and say it's roughly equal between offense and defense. 6 picks on defense, 7 on offense. If you want to go back to 2017, 7 picks on defense, 9 picks on offense (These are both counting the trade for Diggs as a 1st round pick) -Another way to look at it though, is that we have 1 (or 2, counting Diggs trade) first round pick on Offense. We have 3 on Defense. Then if you look at FA acquisition, we have signed an additional 3 former first round picks on D - and Zero former first round picks on O It's certainly incorrect that "we have ONLY addressed the defense for 5 years" . But I think it's a fair POV that we have WEIGHTED our investment, through FA acquisitions and top draft picks, towards defense the last 5 years It does not help that two of our second round picks on offense Zay Jones and Cody Ford, appear to be busts (and possibly a 3rd round pick on offense in Moss). -

I certainly get being upset and expressing upset. We're certainly aware of the need to vent in the Mod Corral here, which is why we're only making the faintest interest to curb outlandish threads and the very worst of abusive takes. But to me, it's pretty telling if people can't control their upset enough to be a little more rational with it. I don't think it's OK to call for people to be abused or to abase themselves. That's not justified. -

We have to agree to disagree then. I see changes, and most of them are improvements. -

What does Allen work on this summer?
Hapless Bills Fan replied to Meatloaf63's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think his mechanics did break down a bit at times especially under pressure and when he was trying to sling it hard against the wind, so I think he works on solidifying his mechanics under pressure and against wind somehow. I think they'll come up with something. What else? Perfecting his deep throws, perfecting his throws to the left, perfecting his throws to the flat where he was a bit off target and low at times. Here's his chart from Nextgenstats, but I don't think it tells the whole story. https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/charts/player/season/josh-allen/ALL529264/2021/all/qb-grid I'm sure he will be working on his golf game and going to the beach, maybe take a vacation first of all. -

I'm not sure what's worse at this point: The fact that the Bills lost in heartbreaking fashion at the very end of the game, or watching so many of my fellow Bills fans and fellow TBDians reveal themselves to be absolute tools.- 229 replies

And if we didn't get those 2 points and a FG won it, we'd have second guessing on that point for days - just as we had second-guessing for days on the decision to go for it vs. kick a FG that resulted in the loss to the Titans. -
It could be so, but I think people are over-interpreting a tweet of Thanks to Josh Allen. McKenzie still sounds pretty invested in the Bills: Ty Dunne's piece about McKenzie revealed that after being a mediocre HS and college student, he now reads all the time, including the psychology texts he didn't read as a student, so he knows whereof he speaks.

I think it's shameful how fans turn coat and trash the coaches "anyone would be better" blah blah All of a sudden everyone's a defensive football genius. I know you're not saying that here, but it's right in line with people who are. He's accepted responsibility at least a dozen times at this point "execution....starts with me". If McDermott stood on the steps of City Hall and said "I publicly apologize to the city of Buffalo and the Erie County area, the fans of the Bills, and the Buffalo Bills" you guys would be saying "yeah, but he didn't do it wearing a hair shirt and whipping himself" I don't want him to apologize. I want him to learn from this experience, and do better.- 229 replies
