  1. Efe Obada didn't overlap Beane or McDermott. He was signed at the end of May, 2017 as an international pathways player. Beane took the GM job in Buffalo at the beginning of May, 2017. There are two links to the team: 1) Mario Addison who joined the Bills last season and who played next to Obada in 2018-2019 2) DL coach Eric Washington who joined the Bills last season If anyone should know what Obada is capable of that would be Washington, who coached him for 2 yrs.
  2. Does Wade have a choice as to whether or not he participates? I would think sooner or later he'd want to try his hand (or his feet) on an equal footing. I don't think this was true, at least of the previous years of the Pathways program. In previous years, if the team used the Pathways exemption on him, he immediately became an extra player on the practice squad all season and was NOT subject to waivers. In return, he could not be brought up all season.
  3. [This is an automated response] As a courtesy to the other board members, please use more descriptive topic titles. A single name if far too vague to post as a title and provides little insight into what specifically the post is talking about. The topic starter can edit the topic title line to make it more appropriate. Thank you.
  4. Sidney Pegula says No to 1st round 😅
  5. Yike! Me too but not at that price
  6. McKenzie already with the trash-talk
  7. The devil is always in the details of the "up to"
  8. I dunno if you've noticed, but NFL.com (and probably others) drop the city in the coverage online So the Buffalo Bills are "Bills", NY Jets are the "Jets" and the Washington Football Team is listed as ...."Football Team"
  9. Who would have thought Beane could trade Lee Smith, AJ Mccarron, Tyrod Taylor, and Russell Bodine?
  10. Well, This aged well. @Miyagi-Do Karate, do you take requests? I have short list of DL and CB talent
  11. I can't say if they hate Lamar Jackson - by all accounts he's a super-nice guy so I don't know why any player would hate him BUT Greg Roman's offenses have been suspect for passing for a LONG time Take a look. 3 different teams. 4 different QBs. Passing offense climbed out of the bottom 5 one season out of 8 - 2012 (which happened to be the year the 49ers went to the Superbowl) When he was in Buffalo, there were several regulars here who were critics of his pass game designs. Now that said - Culley was their "passing game coordinator" and maybe they'll bring in someone who can mesh and work better with Roman and design a better passing offense.
  12. This. In his media availability, he said he told his agent "if the money is about equal, I want to go back to Buffalo". In the Rico Report, he said he felt like he knows the system and the coaches and this is his best chance to put a good year on film and get a contract next year. He may have had a slightly higher offer somewhere else, or even turned down a contract that was larger and longer on paper but had little guaranteed and came to about the same money in his pocket this year - but it wasn't all for the great love of the Buffalo Family, there was a business aspect of "bet on yourself, do your best, and win a good contract next year.
  13. At some point, "BPA" has to marry with the overall development needs of the team. Part of my issue with this is I feel there's intrinsically a subjective element when rating players across different positions. But to build, maintain, and improve a team, at the end of the day you can't get great and deep at 2 or 3 positions while shallow and old at others. You HAVE TO, to my way of thinking, consider the overall structure of the team.
  14. Oh no! According to Josh Allen, Daboll is another Uber-competitor on the team and in a previous weight-loss competition starved himself and even dehydrated to lose weight a la "Biggest Loser" Those are horrible health practices.
  15. He probably saves it for people distinguishing center from guard. I mean they're all interior OL why should anyone expect them to have different skill sets?
  16. I see your superior intelligence has found us out 🙄 I don't think football genius is needed to know we more from the DT position than we got last year. If there's a nice pocket for the QB to step into and throw, DE doesn't get home.
  17. Not believable, IMO. Although I suppose any hotline can get an individual who goes "off the reservation" Here is the official word from the CDC: I'm really leary of putting too much information here because I don't want to back-door into a covid discussion thread.
  18. Does he have inside info on what team will be trading for Darnold?
  19. McKenzie has returned kickoffs - a few his rookie year for Denver, a few in 2019, 12 his first year with Buffalo. His average return was 19.8 yds in 2018, one of the reasons the Bills signed Andre Roberts in 2019.
  20. That's not a particularly useful set of criteria. Said no team ever: "we didn't quite have the hosses to win the championship, but we were sensible and sustainable financially!" "Sensible" is in the eye of the beholder, and "sustainable financially" is pretty much an educated guess right now between the cap questions and the need to extend Allen.
  21. No, signing players at positions of need is the goal so that we go into the draft able to target BPA
  22. A priest, a pastor, and a rabbit walked into a blood donation clinic. The nursed asked the rabbit: "What is your blood type?" "I am probably a type-O," said the rabbit.
