Great work, Thanks! Here’s a question for all you draft day value chart couriers: do we have enough picks in the 5th 6th 7th to package and move up for a 4th?

Could an animal play in the NFL?
Hapless Bills Fan replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK, we've had the cat on the field and the squirrel on the field vids posted I didn't see Maroon5 but here y'all go In the broad light of day, I think it's past time to put this dog of a thread to sleep. -
I think he may be confusing Benjamin (who had Etienne falling to us at 30) with McShay (who had the Bills trying to trade up above pick 23 for Etienne) Since Harris went at 24 and Etienne at 25, seems like good intelligence out there about where Etienne was likely to go. But either no one was interested, the price was higher than Beane wanted to pay, or, the player Beane was actually interested was not Etienne and was actually gone already before the possible trade partner was on the clock.

The Bills' DE Lottery Tickets
Hapless Bills Fan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good post. So now evidently, you got to add a lottery ticket, with Boogie Basham. Here's the thing. How many do the Bills keep? 5? 6? I was surprised that Johnson had gotten so many snaps at edge. I looked it up, and actually Johnson went from getting single-digit to low-teen snaps, to getting 21-29% of the snaps games 11-13, to getting 40% of the snaps 14-16. But, his playing time fell off in the playoffs and in fact was inactive for the Ravens. Epenesa followed a similar trajectory, inactive 2 games and uneven usage early in the season, but then high 30's, 50, 69% of the snaps at the end of the season. Last season, they were expecting Quinton Jefferson to fill a hybrid role where he moved around on the line. Obada or one of the draft class may be candidates for that role. If counted that way, the Bills may keep 6. There's still probably not room for Hughes, Addison, Epenesa, Obada, Johnson, Rousseau, and Basham on the roster. Addison apparently just renegotiated his contract and took a haircut in exchange for guaranteed salary. Hughes is a leader on the team and with so many youngsters I would expect McDermott to be looking to not "let the leaders out of the room". I think the Bills are gonna have to lose a lottery ticket. It would be radical, but I wonder if they are disappointed in Epenesa and ready to move on? -
So evidently the Bills didn't think they were value at that position We seemed to take our full allotment of time, I wonder if we were trying to trade down or listening to offers TBH I was not sold on Melifonwu, so I'm just as happy we didn't take him. I'm intrigued by Brevin Jordan, though I think that he might have been a bit of a reach there? I'm not sure he's an upgrade on Hollister.

Sounds like we got our backup Swing Tackle? "Towering tackle prospect with the hands, feet and length in place to become a quality pass protector on the next level. Despite playing right tackle his entire career at Northern Iowa, Brown has the athleticism to give it a go on the left side if a team desires. He's packed on weight and muscle over the years but his performance at the Senior Bowl practices showed that there is still work to do in terms of improving his core strength to offset his high center of gravity. He can play in a variety of run schemes but he will be at his best on the move, where his foot quickness will give him an advantage in finding the angles. Slippery athletes with good length will be trouble for him early and maybe beyond, but he's an above-average hand-fighter with a variety of pass sets he can utilize, which should help him as an eventual starter with early swing tackle value."

So OP, you might need to change that to "Odd Men Out" The main issue is we can't PS this year's draft pick I don't think we part with Lotulelei (cap, also 1T), Addison (cap) or Hughes (experience, leadership) this year Oliver also likely gets more time as a 3rd year 1st rounder. But we clearly can't keep everyone we got on the roster

Um...AFAIK, Phillips doesn't play 3TDT like Oliver and Butler and Zimmer He's a 1TDT like Star He lined up as a 3TDT at times last season when the Bills were using 3TDT as a "good conduct prize" for trying to bust your but at 1TDT But I don't think 3T is Harry's strong point, any more than playing 1T is Oliver's I don't think either of our rookies (so far) are types to succeed as a 1T
