  1. my kid has Moderna #2 next week. Concerned because getting knocked down for even a day would be rough with her courseload right now. Got her roomie booked for Pfizer.
  2. Overall my impression of this offseason in general, not just the draft: Beane to DL and DL coach: "You guys had better light your fires and get after the QB, or you're outta here and we'll play someone who will Beane to OL and OL coach: "Pass protect ain't enough, we better have holes, BIG holes for our backs or you're outta here and we'll find someone who will Beane to WR not named Diggs, Sanders, Beasley, and Davis: "Grind n get'r done, or you're gone! Beane to KR/PR candidates: "Steel sharpens steel. Prepare to be sharpened! Compete!" Beane to RB room: "Yeah, We're Good!"
  3. @LeGOATski has my favorite comment: "we're adopting trees" Wilco!

  5. Beane really talked him up in an interview with Collinsworth and Richard Sherman. Beane won't "spill the beanes" on his plans so to speak, but he usually speaks what he believes. Caught a nice fish the first time, why not throw your line back in the same pond?
  6. I don't know what the practice squad/IR rules will be this year, but I predict this guy will develop a turf toe or a sprained pinky and go on IR just before the season. From the sound of it, he needs to strengthen his upper body, learn to run routes, and master our offense. All of which my boy Zee_thoven has done Brandon Powell is not conceding the KR/PR battle to Isaiah just yet.
  7. Just bustin'. I don't know a thing about either of them so can neither agree or disagree, but you did pretty well (verbally) murder the guy
  8. But other than that, what do you think of him, truly?
  9. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/rachad-wildgoose/32005749-4c04-7202-2f39-a2f7aa33f5cc Player bio: The Miami native helped Northwestern High School win a state title his senior year before moving to Madison. He started seven of 10 games played as a true freshman in 2018 (29 tackles, seven pass breakups), and then began eight of 13 appearances the following year (22 tackles, three for loss, one interception, seven pass breakups). Wildgoose chose to opt out of the remainder of the 2020 season after starting two contests (six tackles, two for loss, one pass breakup), suffering a shoulder injury against Northwestern after sitting out the team's win over Michigan due to COVID-19 protocols. -- by Chad Reuter Lance Zierlein Scouting report (projects him as an UDFA): Overview Wildgoose has adequate foot agility and can grind on slower wideouts over the first five yards, but lacks the makeup speed and length to recover from early missteps in his coverage. It is easy to see his physicality throughout the route and he could become more impactful from press with more work. He's quick to crowd and body the receiver but fails to trust his technique, resulting in too many penalties over the course of his career. His lack of fluid transitions could make him a sitting duck in off-man, so he's better suited for zone or bump-and-run schemes as he tries to find a team fit as a likely undrafted free agent. Strengths Feet for early mirror of release. Gives out rough rides for the first five yards. Quick to close distance on receiver early in route. Extremely physical and flusters the catch space. Reads eyes and times his scrapes. Displays adequate feel for route from trail. Short-area stickiness to hound the comeback route. Improvement in run defense from 2018 to 2019. Weaknesses Is often too early in declaring and opening hips. Doesn't trust technique and positioning. 13 career pass interference/defensive holding penalties. Weight is too far forward when transitioning with the stem. Below-average burst to stay connected at break points. Needs to finish plays. Below-average length to attack the catch.
  10. Isaiah McKenzie says "Don't sleep on me!" Brandon Powell says "Hey!"
  11. [First of 2 picks for which we traded 5th round, pick 174] Discuss
  12. Well, historically last few years, our 6th round picks have done just that
  13. Josh is usually listed as 6’5”. Officially I think he measured a fraction of an inch shorter at the combine.
  14. Problem: no 4th round pick. Can we/do we want to try to turn say 2 5ths and a 7th into a 4th round? Maybe include a player?
  15. 6:57 pm, horses walking to the track and all that starts around 6 pm. Full day schedule Field
  16. Yeah, I was impressed that they had a large Buffalo flag at the ready. No caps or shirts though so maybe it was a local fan who ran over.
  17. I guess what I meant was, purely in terms of value could we package 2 5ths and a 7th, say, to move into the 4th?
  18. How many players actually took that season of eligibility? It’s been pointed out that there are some significant differences, contractually, between a FA and a late-round draft pick, that advantage the team. That aside, in 2017 we picked up Milano in the 5th. In all 3 of Beane’s drafts to date, we grabbed at least 2 players that are contributing to the team (or should be *ahem* Teller). We may be counting on one of them to hold down CB opposite Tre!
