  1. I....don't think that's the standard meaning of "begat"
  2. Just curious, does anyone know which teams are still going to "away" training camps prior to Covid and which, if any, have said they are traveling to away camps this year?
  3. Yep. That's the whole reason for baseline concussion testing, to establish the baseline against which a particular player is compared. So if you have an IQ test the player took in college or upon being admitted to the league (I don't know if they do still, but the Levy-era Bills used to give all the players IQ tests) and it's lower, you can say something. An average? Pffphhhtttt. Are you really curious? I think the quote attributed to Willie Sutton when asked why he robbed banks would have some insight for ya. Though I guess some college programs with lucrative TV deals would fall into that category
  4. It is spelled out in the covid-19 protocols. That the teams can not require players to stay at a hotel other than the night before games or during travel.
  5. Given that Beane explicitly said in his presser that the NFL has yet to provide clarity or certainty as to how the protocols will change or what the threshold will be, not quite sure how you get there.
  6. I think that's specifically prohibited by the NFLPA agreements.
  7. You really ought to explore their defensive gains and losses as part of that conclusion. I'm not saying they didn't, I'm just saying that looking at the OL and saying "ooooooh, scary!" is not a very complete argument when there are 3 phases to the game, and even the most adamant "Offense is where it's At" arguers will agree that defense does still matter. Last year the Chiefs defense was 10th in the league on points, 16th on yards, and last in the red zone: https://www.espn.com/blog/kansas-city-chiefs/post/_/id/29966/kansas-city-chiefs-prioritizing-league-worst-red-zone-defense How has that been at least maintained and (for their fans) hopefully improved? The Chiefs lost two DE, a starting LB and CB (Kpassagnon, Okafor, Wilson, and Breeland). They added Jarran Reed at DT from the SeaSnakes. They added a LB in the 2nd round and a DE in the 4th round. Some people would say maybe that's not enough. My point is you can't just look at one aspect of one side of the ball and say "woooo, they got better!".
  8. The take home for me is that at the same time as Milano was posting teasing Instagrams of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and himself dining with yacht salesmen, and the press covering the NFL was putting out pieces about how Milano will definitely test free agency, Milano was privately telling his agent "first priority, get me back with the Bills". And at the same time as Beane was saying in pressers "he's earned the right to test the market" which was his code for "bye-bye!" in the case of Shaq Lawson and Jordan Phillips, he was crafting a contract offer for Milano. So kind of like "don't believe everything you read" around the draft, "don't believe everything you read" around FA.
  9. This is what's commonly called a "Straw Man" in an argument - you make up something and ascribe that viewpoint to the person you're responding to in a discussion. Find and quote where I have made that argument. For that matter find and quote where anyone has said "the Bills have gotten immensely better because they replaced Brown with Sanders and drafted a bunch on the D-line". Thanks
  10. Please comment on the other changes on the Chiefs if you wish to go there (defensive gains and losses). Thanks. The Chiefs revamped their OL. It had to be done. On paper, it looks much improved, but it remains to be seen how it will play out in games. Remember when "on paper the Bills had the best DL in the league" after we signed Mario Williams? I'm sure you do. Same thing applies - football games are played on turf and grass on Sunday, not on paper in June.
  11. Where is the information that 30 of 32 teams have "gotten there easily" as far as vaccinated players? The information I have is that 30 of 32 teams have met the "90% vaccinated" standard for Tier 1 and Tier 2 staff (coaches, assistants, trainers, player engagement, maybe scouts if they want field and locker room access). The other 2 teams are at >85%. I have not seen anything yet about 1) what the NFL's standard for vaccination of players to loosen restrictions will be 2) how many teams have met it. The reason people believe that the Bills have a large number of non-vaccinated players is that a few weeks ago the Buffalo Fanatics crew, who have connections with a number of players, said that there were less than 10 vaccinated players on the Bills. Yeah, let's just say that I don't think quarantine and the Zoom format of interviews were kind to JW.
  12. I traced it to Jill Kelly's instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/p/CPytQqrh_ja/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link So basically the Kellys seem to have invited Josh and his girlfriend to spend the weekend at their hunting lodge (Some Place! I'd go...), at which point Jim and Josh both signed a football and took a picture. They may have even IDK, watched some film together or something. I'm not sure why this is upsetting and inappropriate to some here but hey guys, You do You.
  13. shoulda stopped right there I mean c'mon. I don't know where Buffalo Fanatics got that photo. Josh's girlfriend posted a couple photos yesterday that I wondered if they were at Kelly's hunting lodge, so now this looks like "yep, that's where they were". If Jim wants to autograph a football for Josh and take a photo, what's the big deal exactly? It's not like he staged a ceremony at the stadium or on the steps of city hall or something.
  14. How do you get the 20 million in cap space? Show your work please. My math said maybe $10M
  15. No, Favre was opiods and alcohol. The reason the NFL turned to torodol is because it's not considered physically addictive like opiods. I'm not sure what doesn't make sense?
  16. This is actually one of the best ideas I've heard.
  17. So who do the Titans restructure or release? They can get about $10M by re-structuring Tannehill analogous to what we did with Diggs. Jones is signed for 3 years and could restructure I guess? Ah, I see. That makes sense.
  18. Tannehill has a nice deep ball
  19. "Can you imagine if the stands were full of fans? They'd be falling over themselves right now! They'd be falling out of the Rich" 😂
  20. I don’t see it that way, but if not answering = cop out then sure, that’s logical On my list of concerns about this, “media distraction” is probably #21 or so
  21. I have to disagree with that last. I think it's something the Bills as a team have all agreed on.
  22. Watching that clip again, it appears to me that Allen glances left, says "yep, Lil Dirty's got this" then steps up and throws. Little Engine that Could
