  1. Concerns me too, especially if players flout the protocols for non-vaxxed players and the teams look the other way. But nothing I can do about it.
  2. But you were 3% not joking, right? I'm kind of in the same place.
  3. Interesting! Thank you. Poll is running 63% in favor of keeping the thread open to discuss these issues. I hope we can have a reasonable discussion, but if it blows up into a. Bease part II b. Tralala land featuring Sheep, "98% survival rate", etc etc etc c. political commentary: name-calling elected officials, imputing political viewpoints to people, or bringing in other contentious issues eg Kaep, kneeling ...it's gonna be "Lockit City"
  4. And on this, We agree! Thought you all would enjoy Amanda Hyde's testamonial to Micah Hyde for doing just that (the picture is way cuter without the text) Did they manage this challenging task?
  5. No, it kind of looks like a Hamster, but it’s actually a tiny dog. I think it may have its own Instagram as well - I’ll check later. Understandable mistake between a tiny hairy dog and a Harry hamster. If you mistake Ed Oliver’s pets for hamsters, you need to REALLY cut back on the drinking though Yes
  6. Maybe he doesn’t want one, or was asked to portray himself in a way his team didn’t like?
  7. I suppose the thinking was that he would do more rehab and have his throwing motion mapped and improve? I haven't counted (maybe I should get my pruning sheers and Go) But it's the off-season We have a thread about our QB's puppy where we're arguing about the meaning behind her name and whether or not her breed exists.
  8. Perhaps it's the contrast between Williams and the last decade or more of RTs that has me over-valuing his play
  9. Well, logically to me, the thing to do would be to look at the requirements for re-opening and flip them https://forward.ny.gov/metrics-guide-reopening-new-york There was nothing in the original reopening guidelines about absolute number of cases or cases per 100,000. I would think it's still hospitalization trends/availability that should be monitored. Example: In Springfield MO right now it's un-ambiguous. Hospitalization rates in the affected areas are surging, the Covid ICUs have reopened, and the hospitals are warning that they can't hire extra staff and may have to divert patients. I would think it would have to be a situation like that, not just a glitch in the 7 day rolling average that could occur from say, a big family reunion that all got traced and contained. Two things running in WNY favor to avoid such problems: 1) higher vax rates - Green County above 37% for1-dose and surrounding counties % in the teens and 20's 2) NYS actually does contact tracing as opposed to MO where most Health Departments ran up the white flag months ago. But who knows? 🤷‍♂️
  10. I like the way you think on this...I'm pretty much aligned with the first 8 on your list, but I personally don't "go" with those "expert" ratings that put rookies ahead of proven players. I think Beasley and Daryl Williams instead.
  11. I think it means Baker knows any deal he signed right now will not pay him as a top-5 QB....beacause last season, he didn't play like a top-5 QB except by the metric "helps team win games". Allen played like a top-5 QB and went to the AFCCG last year, so while we hope we haven't seen the ceiling yet, there's always the chance that his play might fall off a bit if he waits. ......as rather happened to Lamar Jackson, who was league MVP in 2019 and fell off some last season. So he's somewhere between a top-5 QB and a top-15 QB, and may want a "tie breaker year" I don't think Allen is looking over at Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield to "see if they flinch". He's in a different situation right now.
  12. I understand the sentiment, but he's gotta have someone to catch 'em and a bit of time to throw
  13. The Buffalo Fanatics started it out with 2 lists: Discuss I think I favor Lander's list more, though I would perhaps put Diggs second
  14. Imma guess she mighta had some coaching there, but it's still super-sweet
  15. So he caught 30 of 34 passes. If we say 10 of them were jet sweeps and subtract them from both sides, it's still 20 out of 24 which is 83% No longer in the top-5, but still pretty dang good and I'm gonna guess similar caveats apply to the other 4 guys
  16. I love me some I-mac, but consider that while McDermott's lips moved and said they had every believe that he could run all the routes Beasley runs, when it was "nut cutting time" as Coach Bohl would say, the Bills played Beasley. IOW their behavior says they thought Beasley playing on a broken leg > Isaiah McKenzie in the slot.
  17. I'm not sure that's actually true - depends on details of NYS law I sure wouldn't know But supposing there is the local control written in there somewhere - right now, with a 7-day rolling average of 0.3% positive tests in WNY, 0.75 per 100,000 new cases in WNY - it would be pretty dang hard to make a case for a WNY-specific public health situation that would justify exercising it. 18. News Flash! Poloncarz has changed his view based on data (Or been re-educated by his legal team, whichever you believe)
  19. Thanks for the input! To be clear, the consensus seems to be that the Beasley issue in particular got thoroughly hashed out in its 80 pages, so that will not re-open, and people who wish to keep discussing it are welcome to move to PPP or elsewhere. The question is, is there interest in discussing the protocols and relevant issues aside from Beasley and his viewpoint? (To anyone else reading, please see poll and vote)
  20. I think @Chandler#81 and @SDS did the right thing yesterday when they shut down the thread discussing Beasley's twitterfest. We let it go for a while, because people needed to air out their views, and the airing took place, took place, took place and took place. I don't think we need to continue this thread as another "Beasley Thread" - the above opinion was thoroughly aired and discussed already. Should this thread stay open to talk about the NFL/NFLPA covid protocols in general, or should it lock? Please see poll I think aspects of the protocols are worth some discussion. For example, a good point brought up in the other thread by @Beast was the building evidence that covid-19 infection provides protection from re-infection that is at least as good as some vaccines. This is recognized by several countries which require either proof of vaccination or proof of a covid-19 infection less than 6 months and more than 11 days previous.
