  1. Yeah, it's completely bogus by the teams and the NFLPA IMHO I believe the teams set offseason strength and conditioning goals for the players, asking them show up at camp in shape and meeting those standards Then they don't pay the players who do what they ask
  2. He threw 4 INTs, 3 of them early in the 1st half and 3 leading directly to points.
  3. Hate to see it happen to anyone, especially if the team calls it “non football injury” and won’t pay him
  4. I’d say “they should obviously AirBnB instead” but as I recall, Johnny Manziel and Antonio Brown got in trouble there too. Maybe some of them should just Stay Home and theresthecutestblckandwhitehummingbirdpreeningonmyelectricalwire get drunk? After all, if you’re working towards puking drunk, one bathroom is much like another. Wasn’t that behind the post-game parties Jim Kelly threw for the team at his house? Figuring out that the team had a better chance of avoiding unfavorable media or law enforcement if they got liquored up and shenanigan’d in private? This is a version of the joke about “doctor, will I be able to play the piano after my broken arm heals?”, isn’t it?
  5. I think it was Eric Wood who said "you can do things on a football field that are severely illegal anywhere else" For a lot of these guys, it's a cathartic release, and it's a struggle when they no longer have that. Then there has to be the psychological whammy of going from a highly regarded, top player to not being offered a contract - though I wonder, now that this has come out, if it was quietly known around the league that Sherman was struggling with some sort of personal issue and there's a cause-and-effect chain where teams that might have offered him a deal, have held back.
  6. I had an obstreperous young relative I once asked "what part of NO don't you understand?" After a brief pause, they said "I guess just the N and the O" The Report function does help the mods - honest
  7. Actually, I thought @Buffalo716 explained it pretty clearly in about 3 sentences.
  8. Yep, I'm afraid This. Folks, please re-familiarize yourself with @SDS pinned post about generalized covid-19 discussion on TSW. We are not going to go off into the weeds of how sensitive different diagnostic tests are, and this is NOT the place to air your opinion about public health issues. And we're still at, everybody got to hash out their opinion about Cole Beasley and thrash it to death for however many pages that was, we don't need to reprise and repeat.
  9. Not necessarily. Players are cagy about injuries and hate to report them because injuries are part of the other team's scouting report and defenders hone in on them.
  10. Thanks for sharing that. Any insight into how "created yards per attempt" is defined and how it is assessed?
  11. We had dinner with a Steelers fan last night. We all have flaws. Couple years back I was walking with a tour group through a small Farmers market near Porto in Portugal. Saw a chap in a Bills shirt walking the other way. I yelled "Go Bills!" He yelled "Go Bills!" We fist bumped and kept walking in our respective opposite directions. Rest of the group was "what just happened?" No Bills fan should ever think another Bills fan is weird for shouting "Go Bills", Ever. My kid gets embarrassed but that's kid's problem.
  12. OK Fantasy and Stats Gurus and such. What does this even mean? I understand YPA. I understand yards from scrimmage. This?
  13. I understand your point as a general point. Too many excuses, not enough personal accountability. But in this case, apparently Sherman's mental and personal struggles have been going on since February with various documentation, friends trying to help him, etc. Doesn't seem like an afterthought, and in fact, he didn't have an affair, beat his wife or kids etc etc. Perhaps you meant this as a general comment and not about Sherman in particular?
  14. I thought the scuttlebut was they were sold on Baker all the way, with a minority view for Darnold.
  15. Hughes was on the injury report for the wrist multiple weeks. The question was whether the Bills mis-reported him as having a veteran rest day when he was actually not practicing due to the wrist The conclusion was no, he was actually having a veteran rest day and would have practiced otherwise. It's the Bills, not Hughes, that were under scrutiny since it's the club's responsibility to report injuries. It's the club's responsibility to report injuries, not the players. They are the ones who face fines or sanctions. If Brady concealed the injury from the club, that's between him and them.
  16. Good grief, what a question. Yes, intended as shorthand for first responders/prosecutors/social workers/shelter workers/counselors/support groups. I take your point, but got a better term? I meant more broadly than law enforcement and also to encompass peers and volunteers, not just professionals in the field. I suppose there must be "fans" since there are sick puppies in every endeavor, but 🤮
  17. I guess that's between Diggs, his agent, and the Bills...... Diggs doesn't strike me as a dummy so I'm pretty sure he's not posting videos of him doing guarantee-voiding activities.
  18. No, the NFL has not released this information. We're getting stuff from the famed "unknown source" at present.
