  1. Need a source on when and where Star said anything of the kind. Lotulelei is said to behave as though the media are dentists and a press conference is a root canal without anesthesia I was told by a reliable source that media requested him for one of the press conferences multiple times and were turned down (?) So I find it hard to fathom that he'd say anything about his personal plans in the press or on social media
  2. Negative, $1.5M is amortized signing bonus aka "Dead Money" $6.1M savings by snipping Bease And now also Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson Looked at another way: Bills FA moves as of 3/17 5:52 pm Offense Position Offense Position Howard TE Jones 1T DT Saffold LG (rg) Lawson DE Miller Edge (OLB) J. Phillips 3T DT Settle DT Might be time for Dorsey to walk into Beane's office and glare...... Needs: OG (especially if we lose Bates) WR backup QB
  3. He is a free agent, and given all the other signings, it's looking as though there's No Room at the Inn Epenesa, Basham, Rousseau, Miller, Lawson Lotulelei, Jones, Oliver, Phillips, Settle That's a helluva room. Doesn't seem to leave room for Addison or Hughes though
  4. Boomer dead! Is he dead? Oh my God, he killed Boomer! Bruce Smith was 32 years old.
  5. Whaley was not a cap guy. He was a good talent evaluator, so he sought input from Overdorf. Beane does evaluate talent (and sometimes I think has gaps in his game there) but he Runs the Show with the cap, and I think it's easier to hire talent evaluators and delegate that aspect, than it is to delegate cap management.
  6. Hahahahahaha No contest We pretty much have to. For one thing, we were thin in reserves last season, now we're barren. For another, see other post where I pointed out timeline for White to RTP after the 9 month window would be mid-September - the likelihood of re-injury is 7x higher before 9 months. So we need someone who can lock it down until he's back.
  7. Extra credit, can you ballpark the contract $$s?
  8. I'm highly ambivalent myself. We're now pretty long in the tooth on DL, and it's hard to develop young guys with veterans taking their snaps. OTOH no question but what the Bills had a better pass rush/pressure in 2019 than since. And I do love the man.
  9. I dunno. A year of not getting hit, would seem likely to be helpful to mental and physical health. Though the legal stuff must take a toll Why would you think "he's not that bright"? He's a highly successful NFL QB able to diagnose and pick apart an NFL defense, that doesn't happen without a high degree of intelligence. Highly intelligent people sometimes do dumb pervy things, many examples of that.
  10. I don’t agree with that, Diggs lays himself out there constantly
  11. I just wonder if he’s a scheme fit for their passing game. They seem like run it down your throat then throw over your head
  12. Hehe Score one win!!! Called it!
  13. So there we have it- upper and lower bounds.
  14. LOL at this tweet He's joking, right?
  15. Currently showing $18.9M, but that's without Miller, Daquan Jones, Saffold, Howard, and BigJ9797 Phillips if it's true he and the Bills re-signed. Easy peasy. Cut Beasley, Williams, and Feliciano. Extend Morse to give him more $$ but less cap. Restructure Hyde and Milano to convert most of their 2022 salary to roster bonus. Let Harrison Phillips and Wallace walk. Don't tender Zim and limit Bates to a "1st refusal" tender. (Did I miss anything?) There ya go! I'll be honest, I didn't think it could be done without extending Diggs and Edmunds, but that's why I'm not an NFL GM
  16. Hi, @MrEpsYtown! Welcome to BadTakesAnonymous! I've had them too! (Wanting Blaine Gabbert was NOT one of mine, but I live in MO)
  17. Call me naive, but I was hoping for a servicable CB
  18. You can see the Bison at the zoo from Delaware Park, does that count? https://buffalozoo.org/exhibits/bison-exhibit/ That sounds to me like a toddler-driven question. Like when we took our kid to "Olive Garden" as a toddler and she was terribly disappointed (despite breadsticks which she loves) because from the name, she thought there would be trees full of black olives to pick. The waiter saved the day by bringing her a bowl of them.
  19. Yes, but he reiterated it in his greeting.
  20. Hmmmm. Why?
  21. I actually thought that for DT and OG, fat was an essential to success
  22. Wow, that says something when a new DT signing walks in with the name of your QB on his lips.
  23. Because they didn't consider him worth a $3.98M cap hit this cap-strapped year. If the Vikings offer him that or more, the Bills can match it. Yes
