  1. “Hi! I don’t always make posts here, but when I do, I really don’t care about the stuff I say” C’mon, Man, you cared enough to make a post about it, just own it.
  2. I was gonna mention this, Logic - I assume you already checked out the Buffalobills.com “Training Camp” site but they have some info there. Sounds as though the Field House is off limits, but they have a band, mini golf, inflatables etc. They also have a sponsored tent with giveaways if you can stand through a debit card pitch, but check out who’s signing autographs:
  3. I agree that the DL looks like a big step-up so far, but I’m not sure what bringing in another camp body has to do as a sign of it. -Dawkins and Boettger on Covid list, brought in 2 more OL -Feliciano injures shoulder, brought in 1 more OL Kind of looks to me like maintaining enough OL to run 3 OL rotations in camp - and of course, if a guy comes in and plays well we keep him. I hadn’t heard about Lamp and Harrell, what’s up with them? We only just signed Harrell....
  4. News: Bills sign former Tampa Bay draft pick who played 4 years with that team, then traveled to 4 different teams around the league TBD: “Look, we signed another Panther” Some of you are almost at the point where if the Panthers scouted a guy in college you’ll be “Look, we signed another Panther!”
  5. OK, 4 of us now LOL. I feel it’s so unfair of me (“blame the victim”) but I can’t stop perceiving Knox as “hapless” against physical play. I suppose TE is possible, but who ever heard of a 6’4” 200 lb TE? And I’m sure gaining weight has been suggested to him before - people are talking about how deceptively fast he is and weight would surely hinder that. My guess would be he’s either playing gunner or taking returns, or both. Since we know he’s been on the field a lot as a WR including time with the 1s, taking snaps as a TE would IMO only pull away from that, but playing in all 4 phases of the ST game would give him the “busy day” Marcel LJ alluded to.
  6. Nice capture. That’s what I saw too Knox needs to learn to sell the PI better. Two choices: drive forward for the ball so it’s obvious Milano is impeding him with his back turned to the ball, PI. Or flop backwards before the ball gets there, making it obvious he was tackled before the ball gets there. The first gives him a shot to make the reception as well, the second puts the fate of the ball as well as the play in the refs hands
  7. OK, so we’re the only two that think maybe this was PI
  8. I’m not sure what you mean by “put him permanently on the 53 man roster” but the fact is Kumerow did spend 6 weeks on the Bills 53 man roster last season, active for game day, while John Brown was on IR then the Covid list. When his 2 call ups ran out, they kept him on the roster for 3 games. When Brown was activated for the final regular season game, that’s when the Bills cut him and NO claimed him.
  9. Assume you mean Quintin Morris? Fairburn commented on him:
  10. Matt Fairburn article in the Athletic on today’s practice https://theathletic.com/2749969/2021/08/03/bills-training-camp-day-6-the-defense-forces-the-offense-out-of-rhythm-on-the-first-day-of-pads/?source=user_shared_article A few comments that interested me On the KR/PR game: Fairburn doesn’t explicitly say that McKenzie was also returning and fielded cleanly, but I guess he implies it There’s a clip of Stevenson tackling a bigger player, turns out it’s Neal who picked him Most press I have seen have praised Trubisky as solid and steady. Fairburn seems to disagree, thinking that he’s inconsistent:
  11. It’s an interesting point, but there’s also the point that the press and the public assess player speed by “underwear olympics” time, and I think the intended point is just that may be misleading as far as playing speed Does anyone know if college players now wear GPS tracking like the pros do? Because if so, there’s already a different set of objective metrics on all these guys
  12. The ball was short and I thought he prevented the receiver from making a play on the ball, without going after it himself John Brown drew a penalty for that in the 2019 Steelers game, but he caught the ball so the penalty was declined But I could be wrong and I’d like more of the play than the video clip and the ability to slo-mo it to be sure. I will say that Knox needs to be more definitive in trying to adjust and “sell” it to ever get the flag there
  13. I could always be wrong but I think those QBs are too well aware of their responsibility to the team to put themselves in that situation, either
  14. Parrino story on today's practice: https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2021/08/micah-hyde-picks-off-josh-allen-bills-defense-sets-tone-in-1st-camp-padded-practice.html It seems as though I've seen this movie before. Wasn't "almost getting the the QB" Addison's theme song last season? I seem to be the only one who thinks maybe this was PI
  15. I could be wrong, but watching this video from both angles I'm pretty sure this was pass interference - looks like Milano was between Knox and the ball and had him wrapped up before the ball got there. Anyone else? Once the ball was deflected up into the air, good play by Hyde to put it away and run it back.
  16. I heard 'Zo Alexander talk about the Myles Garrett incident and how "all you see is red" at times like that and what really holds you back are your teammates bear hugging you and physically walking you away. So if it were really a melee, and Josh jumped into it, I think tempers would be so hot that respect level wouldn't matter. The difference seems to be when a couple players get into it at our training camp as has happened at least 2x now, other players step in quickly to break it up. It's not the respect for the QB that's the difference (though, when cool headed of course you're right they respect him). It's having player leaders at each position who act effectively to keep a lid on things.
  17. I don't think you're going to see a slower RB who didn't play a single ST snap in the game he was activated last season, slotted in at gunner. I did hear they were trying Breida there, and that Kumerow played there last season.
  18. Um, really? Let’s be real...that 49ers defender is running full tilt and leaping at the end to hit Beas - he might have been able to break up the play, but that’s not a dangerous ball. That said, the first throw isn’t perfectly placed, Beasley had to hesitate a bit and catch it behind him, which led to him taking a hit instead of scampering OOB.
  19. I Hear Ya, but it’s entirely possible “garbage time” stats skewed the others as well If a guy doesn’t have that many receptions, just 1-2 long passes or catch-and-runs can skew his stats
  20. And now with the Quentin Nelson news....DID YOU LISTEN TO ME REICH? REICH? FRANK? YOU WEREN'T LISTENING! NOW SEE WHAT YOU'VE DONE!
  21. I don't know how it went, but back when St Louis had the Rams neighbors were season ticket holders and big Tailgaters outside the stadium. It worked somehow.
  22. The backboard and ambulance sound bad whoever it was. May it continue thus.....
  23. It's a fair point that if we don't have effective run blocking and run game, our defense can't exactly practice against it. Instead of "steel sharpens steel" more like "steel carves up aluminum" In camp? Why? Right now we still even have 2 open roster spots. Now if he misses all of camp, it's quite possible.
