  1. I thought it was because Lamar ran for 1200 yds AND threw 36 TD passes. No one could credibly deny he was the MVP of that team.
  2. What happened to Darryl Williams? Anyone hear? "Andersons House of Pancakes" would sound good to me and @YoloinOhio where are you, Buddy? We needja! Saturday is No Time for High Level Business Meetings!
  3. I hope it's been changed enough that other Ds can't "solve" it though..... (musta been thinking of Christmas Future)
  4. Awwww: (Question was who did he learn the most from at TE university. Knox said he learned the most from Greg Olsen) Allen has already been noted for giving some pretty good gifts....
  5. So it wasn't on that somewhat-dirty late hit play late in the Mia game, though maybe it aggravated it. Thought Josh wore a visor during practice last season as well? 😂
  6. Fair. I think the intended implication is that with a QB less mobile and decisive than Allen, plus an extra gear where they're not trying to spare the guy in the red jersey, they will get home. But it's equally fair to say that "almost doesn't count except in Horseshoes and Handgrenades. It's the reason it's difficult to judge an OL or a DL based on practice.
  7. This guy's videos are not up to par but... Fromm sighting for @JakeFrommStateFarm: Hyde picks Allen!!!!! Don't get too Arrogant, Arm! Anyone see what WR that was? Looked like Davis maybe, and I don't think he felt too good after that. Not a bad throw, just a great Balls-Out play by Hyde.
  8. That has to be a little discouraging for the defense, you can see that Milano would have plastered Allen in a real game but he pulled up. No plastering the guy in the red jersey
  9. You should DM Allen that on insta and ask if you could get an autograph for your sad kid. You know if it had been allowed he would have been circling the bowl signing autographs for each and every.
  10. I was thinking that, too But if it was a bad protection call or if Moss misunderstood his assignment, it's not Brown's fault. And it looked as though it started as a (2,0) or (1,1) set (didn't catch who else was back there), and Brown stepped to his right, so I think he was expecting Moss to pick up Addison. Which is a tough assignment when Thudding. EDIT: it was McKenzie. Looking carefully, I'm pretty sure this was a bad protection call. Looks like it was one of Daboll's multi-layered plays. The LG was pulling, Brown stepped in to pick up the blitzing LB, if it was an option play with the run dialed up Josh should have handed off to Moss who shoulda been long gone before Addison got there, if it was an option play with the pass dialed up someone should have picked up Addison - either he was Brown's assignment and Moss should have handled the blitzer, or Brown got it right and Moss should have taken Addison. Again, SNAFU but I can't tell you whose. Someone better at all-22 could make a more educated guess.
  11. I was just thinking how much he dialed it back for them Something about he lost his shoe? Now will we fillet Kumerow for it? Gotta haul those in, Brotha
  12. Spencer Brown got Beaten like a Drum, or misunderstood his assignment.... Or Moss did Or Josh called the wrong protection, Whoopsie Why it's so hard to grade OL and backfield blocking, somebody screwed up but who?
  13. Nah. If he's insane enough, I'll just wait for the Buffalo Bills PR department's expert takedown as occurred after the Ravens game: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKNS8RfBrE8/?utm_medium=copy_link
  14. This is the best breakdown I've seen from Mike Florio. Click the screencap to embiggen. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/08/06/inside-the-josh-allen-deal/ Some others have the numbers, but not the details on what parts are guaranteed when I think the key detail Geary and others are missing is that the 2022 option bonus is fully guaranteed at signing, as is Allen's base salary through 2023.
  15. No, absolutely not. Among other things, it's got $150 million fully guaranteed at signing. Where I think Geary may be confused is that there's a large option bonus due in 2022 ($42.4M). The word "Option" is confusing in this context, because it is, in fact, fully guaranteed at signing. The Bills structured Tre White's contract in a similar way. It's designed to distribute a large signing bonus in an asymmetric pattern. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/josh-allen-25102/ (PS found the link with the best explanation of the cascading guarantees, below)
  16. This. The Ravens playoff game Lamar's rookie year was embarassing. It was difficult to watch. 14 of 29 passes, 48% completion. 54 yds rushing.
  17. I agree with the first part. A backup offensive or defensive player doesn't usually become an offensive or defensive contributor - unless someone is hurt. This last is the part where I think a lot of people would disagree. I don't think Jones has shown himself to be that competent as an RB and he was 0 for 2 catching passes last season. I think part of people's concern with Jones isn't so much that we don't see him contribute on offense too often, but that he's 33, and if Beane is going to talk about hitting on younger, cheaper talent - sooner or later the coaches have to fall in line with that and actually give a roster spot to a young, developmental player instead of an older ST specialist who has had his cameos on offense and hasn't made good. Yes, the younger guys may not be as good on ST but at some point we have to prioritize developing talent. McDermott said something at one point last season, to the effect that coaches don't like to play rookies because it's a lot more work preparing them for the game, but "we have to get through that". (This was just before Epenesa started to get more snaps) Yes, I think he is, and no reports out of camp have made anyone think differently.
  18. Practice squad Who is Brenda? Marlowe was a free agent and was signed by the Lions. I don't think the Bills let him walk if they don't have confidence in Jaquan Johnson. The other Safeties on the roster are 2nd year player Josh Thomas and two rookies Damar Hamlin and Tariq Thompson. I don't think they'd be counting on them to fill in for Poyer or Hyde. It would be easier to respond to the rest of your post if you'd put in some return and break it up into more sentences. Not intending to pick on you, just factual commentary that I find it difficult to read and what would help make it easier. Last year the Bills kept 9 DL. They kept 10 OL. I'm not going to say they won't keep more than 9. I think the likelihood they keep 3 DT is very low. McDermott loves his DL rotation, especially at DT.
