Is it OK to enter your Steeler fan Neighbor's house while they're at work if they gave you a key once, and you're only doing it to ensure their 3 Parrots can still sing the Shout! song? Asking for a friend -
Bills cuts to get to 53 [final info in the OP]
Hapless Bills Fan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We don't, but he hasn't practiced a snap for the last 3 weeks. Speculation is he may have had a Jones fracture that was surgically repaired last season, and that it may have re-injured, which could be ?10 weeks? - 3 weeks of training camp, 2 weeks from now until regular season, maybe first 5 weeks? That's a long time, depends on how much they really like him I guess. -

Every player is only one play away from an injury, especially a recently-injured KR/PR. Do you see Beane leaving us with only one choice there? I don't. Stevenson supposedly left the game with a "head injury" (but not a concussion protocol). Doesn't sound like something that takes 2 weeks until the regular season then 3 weeks on IR then another week 'til the game to heal. In fact if they want him to return punts, per Andre Roberts he's gotta have a screw loose 😝 -

It's true, Hollister is a big guy. Maybe we can stash two guys on the IR for one cut using Hollister vs Jones............can't be Phillips or Sweeney though, they're bigger -

Johnson is possible. Stevenson would be unlikely since he played vs GB. If we really thought McKenzie would be out for another 6 weeks I doubt we cut Sims and Powell. Sweeney seems the most likely. -

The only thing is if he's still injured, I don't think they can cut him and re-sign him. So they would need to do the handshake thing? I dunno, I'm not sure how those rules apply to practice squad. -

Possible I could be wrong, and Joe B could have some insider info that says Phillips needs this much time, but if we IR him now we can't get him back until Game 4. That would mean he's got a 7 week injury - which he could have. But he's been seen walking around at practice with just a compression sleeve on his leg, not a brace. That MIGHT imply it's a grade 1 sprain, which I've had, and it was more like 4 weeks until I was back at it. -

Who would be the second if Hollister is cut for-real? -

I understand, but who else do you think they want to IR and bring back? -

I'm going to guess this means Sweeney makes the roster but goes on IR again and we re-sign Hollister -

I think that's one reason the Bills wanted Sanders. Quick passes to the backs and TE are the bread-and-butter way most teams. We don't have that. Our equivalent is the quick pass to Beasley. Well there's just one of him, teams can shut that down. Against Pitts, we changed the routes Diggs was running and hit him quickly. So the idea is , if they have to defend 2 WR who can find the seams, they have to back off the pressure a bit. Having Sanders means they still have to defend Diggs on the intermediate stuff. -

It's going to depend upon how much passing threat Big Ben can muster. The Bills D can shut down the run just fine when they don't have to contain a dangerous passer (see Jackson, Lamar) -
COVID list and final cutdown?
Hapless Bills Fan replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They get a roster exemption for the players who are on Covid list. Colts get to keep 3 more players for now. So if the player is on the final 53, they get to keep an extra player until he's off the list If the player is one they want to cut, he doesn't count against the roster until he's off the list. Would be a hell of a thing: "Hi, welcome back, glad you're healthy and everything's all right. The team needs to make a move in another direction...." -

I think they tell the player their evaluation and how they see him, and then it's up to the player what he tells his agent -

If that's an analogy to the Steelers dude, and the Bills, I say your hair used to be disheveled, then you shed it in favor of a powerful smooth scalp. Out of any Bills dishevelment, a powerful smooth scalp will arise, and the ones scalped will be the Steelers. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it! -

Bills sure disheveled Green Bay. Now granted, that was GB backups, but also a lot of our backups, It was just far too surgical for "disheveled" to be an adjective. -

Bills trading Daryll Johnson to the Panthers for 6th rd pick
Hapless Bills Fan replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree on "Good job BBB and good luck Bam! I think Bam was under contract through 2022 though Again just a note that the trade partner would get his $4M salary, not his whole $8M cap hit. -

Waiting for B.A.D. (Beane After Dark) to get going F5 But since you asked: https://thesaltymarshmallow.com/thai-peanut-ramen-noodles/ I like some lime juice in it. I don't care for the added sugar. And IMHO it's important to use PB that's just peanuts and salt. -

Tell you guys what, I just updated the OP to link Sal Capaccio's spreadsheet that he seems to be updating, and to add other transactions. Unless @YoloinOhio gets mad and hurts me, maybe that will help by putting the current info right up front in the first post. Works? -
