  1. Yeah, like, for versions of "lately" equal to 75% of training camp and hurt again. Until Sweeney proves he can be durable, keeping Knox and Sweeney is like keeping 1 TE Of course, it's entirely possible that the Bills have their eyes on another TE who is on the cutout bin
  2. No, Brown'l want to go somewhere where he'll get playing time and targets. What teams have had rashes of WR injuries? In fact, if he requested his release, his agent may have already had a few nibbles of teams who were interested OMG with the reporters comments, that would be too funny!
  3. Imma lock this, with the breaking AP story from John Wawrow it seems out of date. If anyone objects, give me a holla in PM with your thinking and I'll reconsider.
  4. Josh Allen commented that he tried to get a suite for his family this year and couldn't. So current and former players might account for a handful. They said "no later then", depending upon how quickly a deal is made. But it may take longer to build in Buffalo because of weather? Congrats to @john wawrowfor breaking this
  5. He had Knoxitis as a punter. He could be extraordinarily gifted and boom it 70 yds or coffin it But then he could shank one, kick into the end zone, or mess up his hold for the FG/XP
  6. You know, that's not the dumbest of dumb ideas - for the Ravens I expect Smoke might like to go somewhere with a better passing QB
  7. I really hate to hear that. He was looking very good the first days of camp.
  8. IDK about gunner, but it's pretty much axiomatic if you want to be the 6th WR on a team you had better hone your ST chops
  9. I mean, overall, picks in the 5th round or later have something like what, 20% chance to make an NFL roster?
  10. Can we just say "That was Then, This is Now" and leave it at that?
  11. I'm relatively certain. We currently have 11 DL men (6 DE and 5 DT). It's not absolute, certainly (look at WR and TE), but the number of guys we kept last season at each position is a fairly rough guide to how many we think we need to keep this season
  12. ? Last year Fromm was the "Bubble Boy" QB but on the 53-man. Bills have already said not doing that this year
  13. I think it's safe to say that Reid Ferguson "took one for the team" and got cut so someone else could go on IR and re-sign Question is: who? It's not Hodgins.
  14. Pretty much every Sunday - we seldom get the Blls on here. I may stream Bills games on computer with another game on TV and the sound muted. Sometimes I just wait and watch on Gamepass.
  15. I think you and the chap you're responding to may be at cross-purposes His point seems to be that we have to put Doyle on the 53-man roster at least initially, in order for him to go on IR, return and be eligible to practice with the team at any point this year.
  16. Perhaps the Patriots knew something about Cam's shoulder injury and thought he could get it right with another off-season?
  17. Well Played, Sir! But seriously, shows a lack of Reality Check for Cam. When you're a star, elite, or an unchallenged starter, you get leeway that a borderline starter does not. Cam once belonged to the first group, now he doesn't. Fortuna Statu Variabilis or something like that.
  18. There's also the "misunderstanding" about the NFL's Covid testing protocols I expect that may have been "strike 3"
  19. Must be a lot of Giants fans looking for their minds right now:
  20. It's possible after the 53-man is set, he might slide onto IR to finish healing that knee in favor of a signing from another team.
  21. What does this mean? You don't believe they occur? Bills did them 2x last cutdown day, with Roberts and Dean Marlowe. Or you don't think they're a good idea? Part of what makes them fly is that the re-signed player gets something for it - a bit more signing bonus, salary guarantees as if they'd been on the 53 If Hollister is offered a better contract to go elsewhere, I'm sure part of the deal is his agent will call the Bills and give them the chance to match
  22. Does anyone know the rules with regard to an injured player and practice squad? Can we waive/injured a player and then re-sign them to the PS/injured, or is it just like the regular roster where you need to have them on the 53-man or it's season long IR?
