  1. Or as in Wallace case, still lying on top of them jawing This is the real issue - consistency, at least within the game
  2. That’s where having a run game and a TE passing threat comes into it then
  3. ? Allen fumbled twice last week. Can you explain a little what you’re thinking here?
  4. Just curious - what other Bills defensive shutouts in the last 10 years are you comparing it to?
  5. Is that anything like your “cleanest dirty shirt”?
  6. Seems like the Bills had some success with Bubble screens last season Both Davis and Kumerow can block in space, and Knox lines up outside often enough not to be a “tell”
  7. "Man, those 'fans' need more Fiber in their Diet!" Who's the guy in the red shirt and the guy on the R leaning over the table?
  8. Bease was 8 for 13 for 80 yds last week, 4 for 4 for 36 yds this week. Average last year was 5.5 receptions for 64.5 yds, so a little low, but it wasn't even last season, either - Beasley had 5 games where he "went off" for >100 yds but also 5 games with <40 yds.
  9. I would love it if one of our media types would do a piece on who is playing where, how much on the OL The big surprise to me on the inactives was Harrison Phillips. But, even with Star out, he only played 36% of the snaps last week. Zimmer saw 40%, Butler saw 50%, and Big Ed saw 62%. Obada had 26% and pretty sure I saw him playing inside at DT at times. I wonder if this is a "healthy scratch but not really" situation where he isn't on the injury report but is still needing to work his way back from the knee? Otherwise, it's looking bad for Mr. Horrible; either Butler or Zimmer or both have jumped him on the depth chart.
  10. Reid Ferguson Savage as well (for those who don't know, Reid's brother Blake is the LS for the Dolphins)
  11. I think the more plausible change is to give Boettger an opportunity to show what he's got at LG. I think he looked better at LG in the 7 games he started there, than Feliciano has looked so far and he played against some good Ds (SFO, PIT). The other plausible change is to see what Bates can do at LG. I thought he was solid at C in preseason and he played well enough not to "stand out" at guard last season. I'm sure the coaches don't want to over-react to one game especially one game where Jon was 1:1 against a Beast like Cam Heyward. But eventually there's a pattern. Agreed. Frankly, the OL as a whole is looking like a poster for "continuity is overrated". Dawkins doesn't look like the franchies LT we paid; Williams doesn't look like the RT we gave a good contract to; Feliciano just looks bad.
  12. Disagree, but that might be "just me". Fitzpatrick is an aging gunfighter who is hanging in there, but whose best days are probably in his past. Herbert is the future, a young gun who will only get better.
  13. Term coined by (I think) Chris Simms to describe what the NFL Next Gen passer chart looks like when Josh Allen "goes off" Except you are complaining. You said "Hats off to the defense. They won this game...... Daboll, Allen and this offense look like crap. They have a lot of work to do." Is yours a reasonable take that the offense isn't firing on all cylinders? Yes. As my post to which you're replying says, "Yes, work to be done". But the above "look like crap" is IMO a helluva overreaction to a game where the offense scored 5 TDs, 4 of them driving at least half the field. We ran 30 times for 143 yards and 3 TD. That's not "spouting stats", that's a fact. That's not a "smattering of plays", it's pretty durn solid for a team which "can't run" We passed 33 times for 179 yds and 2 TD. Again, that's not the "MVP candidate" output we expect from Allen, but it's not crap either. C'mon man, it's fine to say "work to do on the O side of the ball" and I think we would all agree. But to say the defense won the game, give no credit to the offense, and in fact to say "they look like crap" is a helluva bad take.
  14. *very puzzled look* where did I say that or say anything like that?
  15. While we’re at it, how does the offense score 35 points with drives of 46, 52, 60, 33, and 62 yards but that’s a C+? Aye yi yi some people!
  16. I get it, y’all want to see the Josh Allen Laser Light Show and it was more like the damp-squib rain abbreviated fireworks show. Yes, work to be done But this is Exhibit A of the kind of overreaction here that has me SMH. Last week Daboll sucked because we need a run game. This game we rush 30 times for 143 yds and pass 33 yds and 320 total yards, 2 passing TD and 3 rush TD: “the offense looks like crap. They have a lot of work to do” News flash, the “crap” offense scored 35 points. Those weren’t points by the ST, they weren’t points by the D, they were points by the offense. There have been seasons and games when we would have all swooned to have an offense score 35 points and gain 320 yds. Like I led off, a bit of context please.
