  1. Uncertain? AFAIK, they regularly take all 53 regular roster guys even when the coaches already know they won't be playing, unless they are actually ruled "Out" on Friday. The charter plane is already paid for, I'm sure the catered meals have enough extra that they don't care +/- 1 or 2 guys, and the hotel room is probably considered a fair tradeoff for maintaining uncertainty. In fact, unsure about this year but last season I believe they brought the entire practice squad on the trip because if they lose someone to Covid quarantine tonight or tomorrow (AVERT!), I think they have the option to bring up a PS guy to replace them, which obviously couldn't happen if the PS guys aren't with the team. I probably shouldn't encourage this theme and nickname but....you mean like this?
  2. That was my belief going into the season but BIF, Bills have him listed as a 1TDT with Star and Phillips
  3. I don't know who this guy is, but Big if True He better entice his girlfriend in front of the TV for the game and keep her eyes open by any means necessary I'm holding him Personally Responsible
  4. Yeah, but some of the others were. Tyler Bass, "most likely to have fallen asleep first at a slumber party" AJ Klein was hysterical "most likely to emerge from a cornfield holding a machete" Josh Allen was kind weak sauce I would say, Up to our guys to make sure of that Monday
  5. Thank you! So he resembles Ed Sheeran, only way way more buff.
  6. Yep. Hyde commented that his first year in Buffalo and Milano's first year, they hardly ever played Dime and he was like what is up with that? then he figured it had a name, and its name was Matt Milano. I think Milano commented that Taron Johnson is almost like having a LB out there. So part of the base Frazier/McD Bills 4-2-5 D is that they have a LB who has some of the coverage skills of a dime DB, and a nickel corner who has some of the run coverage/pressure skills of a LB. That's not true when Klein is in there. He's a good LB, but they need different personnel packages for different situations and they have to hand off some of Milano's coverage responsibilities to the DB and Edmunds. It's a good question, I was thinking they'd turn to more dime with Neal but who knows? For whatever it's worth, Matakevich is 3rd on the depth chart behind Dodson at MLB, and Klein behind Milano. But of course that reflects someone putting guys on lines in a chart, and not necessarily the coach's thinking for a specific game.
  7. Pretty sure that's Milano in pic 6 and 7 of 38 here: https://www.buffalobills.com/photos/suited-up-bills-travel-to-kansas-city-x6948#afebfbce-ff37-4d16-9aaa-ed0a9a6b83ec (Gotta LOL at Ed Oliver's sweats motto)
  8. Deservedly. What I like to see is that Josh looks all smiley and loose. It's probably "extra" to predict our W-L record by the QB's demeanor getting on the plane, but in general when Josh looks as though he's got the "weight of the world" on his shoulders as he gets on the plane, the results are more "mixed" then when he looks "chill".
  9. Most of these are funny. I didn't get Tyler Matakevich "Most likely to be Ed Sheeran two years into a Barry's Bootcamp". Is it worth explaining?
  10. Isn't he the one who tweeted yesterday that his mental health was a problem?
  11. Especially if they game-planned for Klein. As we saw when Milano went on IR, Klein playing works best if they customize the defense around what Klein can and can't do, instead of trying to plug him in as "next man up" for Milano
  12. Agree, epic Terrible Take. Course in 1972, treatment of heart attacks was very different, but some injuries will cause lasting damage to play through, and these days certainly a heart attack is one of them. Seconds and minutes count. Get yer ass to the best cardiac hospital in a reasonable radius. I think it's likely, just given what BangedupBills pointed out, that every hammy he's had after the first one, he's missed one game. He'd likely go if if was the playoffs and "Win or Go Home" but the Bills have 12 more regular season games ahead of them.
  13. "Drink Until Your Husband Looks Like Matt Milano" -Erik Turner's (Cover1) Wife "He has ankles and feet?" -some chick looking at this picture
  14. NP Pretty sure I've heard his brothers or his parents refer to him as "Maine", makes sense - his brother is named "Trey" so they wouldn't use the first part of his name as a nickname
  15. Already being discussed in another thread, but the title made me laugh so I just couldn't merge it away 😘
  16. I could be wrong but I think the level of coaching/training is higher, along with the level of competition. It will hopefully serve Duke well in picking up where he left off/taking it to another level. How does the money in NFL compare to CFL? Edit: never mind, I googled....$53k minimum, $80-100k average. So being on an NFL practice squad all season at $9,200/week or $156k/yr, is actually better money Being played vet minimum for only 2 games would be $70k.
  17. Really good question. I recall interviews after the Colts game with Daboll and with Allen (separately) and both said something to the effect that when you're inside certain yardage, it affects the plays you can run and you have to get out to the ___ yard line to run your full playbook. I can't remember what they said, but I think it was the 15 yd line. If recalled correctly, that would argue that McKenzie returning a KO but only getting to the 20 instead of the 25 is NBD, but that having a punt downed or a kickoff return tackled at the 5 or 10 yd line is a disadvantage because it affects our gameplan. I looked for the interviews but they're lengthy and I don't have time to go through them. If we stopped the Chiefs and got a TOD on our own 10 yd line I would.......mmmmm can't talk about that here!!!!!!!
  18. No. The NFL has contracts with network TV for the games to be started at specific times. If done far enough in advance to notify ticketholders and get all the stadium and parking lot attendants in place an hour earlier, it would be silly - thunderstorm arrival in the Midwest is just not that predictable. If done at the point where the weather prediction is pretty solid (say, 3 hrs before gametime) it would be Chaos and unfair to people who have purchased a ticket based on a specific start and entry time.
  19. I'd be satisfied with "Get Open, Catch the Ball when it's thrown atcha" as the standard for Knox. He's always made clutch catches. The problem for him has been the "bunnies" he lets hop away Correction. Whoever can create the turnovers ON OUR D I feel that needs to be specified.
  20. Those aren't "gameplan" issues but matters of execution IMO. IIRC Dirty Red (Matekavitch) said they'd practiced against the rush scheme the Steelers used that week. It was simply a matter of communication when it counted, combined with Haack cheating up a couple yards (which kickers tend to do when they're near their endzone) I suppose you could call the botched kickoff a gameplan issue, since in retrospect with that wind, as someone else said "we needed the Hands team on the field" The league average last season was 0.4, and the previous season 0.3, so the factual answer to any season where the punter has 1 blocked punt would be "yes". On the other hand, it was Haack's 2nd block in 4 seasons (maybe 3rd if you count a punt in the 2018 NE game that just passed the LOS). If it happens again it's a problem. You can bet on it that Belichick is on the watch for a pattern in our blocking that he can exploit.
  21. "I went there last week to steal two cookies. And it was just clothes, there was shoes, there were socks. He had an LSU box. Pretty sure I saw a pretzel half-eaten. And I walked away. I couldn’t. I can't eat it from somewhere like that." Oddly specific....Two. Not one, not three I'd say Tre's locker is working perfectly to deter would-be cookie thieves and protect his cookies.
  22. Why? (Zimmer as a scratch vs Obada) I like the potential of Obada, but they play different positions DE/Switch vs 1TDT. Zimmer has 2 QB hits, a sack, a TFL, and 5 combined solo and assist tackles, which is relatively impactful for a DT.
  23. I can not disagree, moreover the point @dave mcbride makes about a low number of snaps defensively (only about 28 actual snaps for the starters) is valid I hesitate to articulate this, but I am curious as to the reason behind his low grade to Beasley Early to tell, but I think Williams > Feliciano at RG. Ike vs Feliciano is a good question.
