  1. Nothing certain, but maybe a two-headed tyro at OC vs Chan Gailey and Tua/Brisset vs Fitz had some influence on this?
  2. Any chance we could get you to share a "fair use" or "transformative" selection of quotes? It's still 2.5 hrs to game time, after all, a guy has to keep himself busy somehow...
  3. I don't think they elevated anyone. Not sure what tea leaves you can read at LB for that, because due to ST play our backup LB are all usually game-day actives (Dodson, Matekavich, Andre Smith), and Klein is normally active as part of the 4-3 base D the Bills seldom use According to Josina Anderson, Milano for the Bills is a "true game-time decision" According to Rapaport, Chris Jones also "game time"
  4. Hahahahaha not sure if they ever served together in Carolina Beane was with the Panthers in various capacities since 1998 Beane and McD were together in Carolina for 6 years, basically McDermott's whole tenure there.
  5. That's exactly where I am. I'm currently way overloaded and paddling to keep my nose above water, but in the next weeks when I have more time, I want to try to talk to someone there or find a contact address to complain, and I'll share what I learn.
  6. LOL. On the plus side: On the minus side from Banged Up Bills, Bangedup says the same logic applies to Taiwan Jones. Soooooo......on the one side, the ChickFilA watch. On the other hand, the injury analysis and history of how the Bills manage hammies provided by Dr Kyle Trimble, PT. Which is more credible? You decide....
  7. Could be. We'll see. I don't think this "OC by committee" is working out for them, true. Right now, except for the Bills game, it qualifies as mediocre. They managed to go out the following week and score 28 points against the Raiders and take them to OT. Las Vegas doesn't have the worst defense in the league 😛. You might be Nostradamus, but they are what they are for now. Isn't that what I said? "One of them seems to have a legit bad offense" in the post you quoted, and "They're currently ranked 28 on offense and they deserve to be." in my previous post to which you responded Again, you may be Nostradamus but right now they're just outside the top 10 (11th). They might fall to below average over the next 6 games and then come on strong the last 7 games of the season.
  8. I'm just pointing out that the woulda, coulda, shoulda business cuts both ways. One of the 4 teams we played has a pretty good offense. One of them seems to have a legit bad offense. The other two have mediocre offenses. We likely wouldn't have the best D in the league if we'd played those guys but it's also possible their offensive rankings would be significantly lower.
  9. You would keep your promise, but the flip side is also true. If the Steelers, Fins, and Texans hadn't played us, they wouldn't have some of the worst offenses in the league. At this point in the season, there's a strong relationship between the outcome of 1 outlier game and a team's ranking. If, instead of being skunked by us, the Dolphins had scored the average number of points from their other 3 games, they'd be 21st-23rd instead of 31. The Texans would be similar, but data suggest they will struggle with their current QB WFT does not have one of the worst offenses in the league, although they have played us (3-1) and the Chargers (also 3-1) It's #11, even without Fitz. I got nothin' on the Steelers. They're currently ranked 28 on offense and they deserve to be. Their offense is managing a mighty 16 points per game. I don't think they beat us if 1) their defense wasn't close to 100% when they played us, and missing guys ever sense. 2) Tomlin and Butler didn't stay up late all summer plotting out how to stop us on offense. It worked against the offense Daboll planned, the OL that didn't show up, and the way Allen played.
  10. Inactives here: https://www.nfl.com/news/inactive-reports-for-sunday-s-week-5-nfl-games
  11. https://www.peacocktv.com/ Link at the bottom right lets you check if your device is supported. You can watch on newer Smart TVs from LG, Samsung, Visio etc. or with Apple TV or Fire TV The TV may already have an app for it installed or you can search/download, then log in and go (like using Netflix) Can also use on computer or ipad
  12. Maybe, but you know what they say...ask and you shall receive, no riskit no biscuit I would like to see a nice solid ass-whuppin myself
  13. Get a small, that way if it shrinks a bit it still works. Baggy is in style for girls.
  14. Where do you live? Are you a weather forecaster? The Big Picture isn't hard to predict but lets just say the details (where exactly the band of precip will come through, and when) are no more exact in the midwest than elsewhere. Maybe less so, since there isn't so much geography funneling the weather. It can easily shift a few hundred miles one way or the other. Over in the Weather thread, a guy posted a video of a KC forecaster going through the forecast in pretty good detail. Basically the "middle case" forecast calls for rain hitting KC, but as he points out it could easily shift E or W and either hit the KC area more lightly, or bombard it. Believe me or don't. I've lived here for 30 years.
  15. The video alluded to in the link doesn't show up for me. Here's the forcast from Weather Underground. Click to embiggen Currently 60% chance of rain at 7 pm, temps in the mid-70s, 8 mph wind. Toward the end of the game, rain probability increases to 90% and the temps will drop into the mid-60s. We'll get a better idea of what might actually happen in the am.
  16. You can find out how far you are from the TV tower here: https://www.antennasdirect.com/transmitter-locator.html You can make this in about an hour. If you don't have a basement full 'o useful-looking stuff, a trip to the nearby Micro Center might be needed for the balun: https://www.htpc-diy.com/2012/04/diy-flexible-fractal-window-hdtv.html 'Course, while you're at MicroCenter buying the Balun, you could just buy an HDTV antenna https://www.microcenter.com/search/search_results.aspx?N=&cat=&Ntt=HD+TV+antenna&searchButton=search
  17. Maybe, but I think NickelCity has it more right. They wanted to integrate GamePass more fully into the NFL.com website, so using Gamepass would be generating clicks for the NFL.com Shopping and Advertisements and all the other schtuff on that website. And they just did a poor job. I paid for what I did before. A healthy sum, IMO. I'm hella busy right now, but I expect in the next week or two when I have time I'll try to talk to a human and express my concerns about the downgrade and see what their plans are and what they'll do for me. (give me an International subscription, give me a refund, whateve). If the answer is "nothing" I may dispute the charge with my credit card company on the basis of not receiving the product I expected when I allowed it to renew. I think someone mentioned all-22 being available from a different source - Youtube or something? Anyone know about that?
  18. Fair take. Another thing we can't have is the fumbles. We've been "dodging the bullet" there. Boxscore by Boxscore, I count 9 (nine) in 4 games. We haven't been in an uproar about it, because we've only lost 2 of them, but that's just random chance. Hopefully it's been a point of renewed emphasis by our coaches this week. True, but they can be slowed. The Chargers held them to 24. First game last season we held them to 26. We can't expect to Donut them, but we also can't expect to win if we let them rack up a 40-burger on us.
  19. In other words, you can't find any of those features either and it sucks for you too? I wonder if I could tell them I've moved to Stuttgart and switch to the international version, if it's still good. With VPN, I could be anywhere. Thanks for the thought I do not have two monitors, although I have a very very WIDE one that can support two reasonable-size windows. But that still leaves the problem of how to choose specific plays.
  20. The Chargers beat the Chiefs by holding them to 24 points, collecting 2 picks and 2 fumbles along the way. There are typically 8-10 drives per team game, 7 or 9 meaningful ones plus a couple at end of half. If we let the Chiefs score TDs on 6 of their 7 drives like the Iggles did, and it just becomes a 42 or 49 point shootout, I don't like our chances. When the Chiefs have beat us it's not "all on Mahomes", it's because their defense has harassed and harried Josh, and mugged and thugged our WR. We need our D. If it's "all on Josh", our chances of winning are not that good because we haven't done "TD on Every Drive" yet.
  21. Yea! Gamepass now has the All-22 again. But..... used to be that it would bring up a list of time, down and distance on the R side of the screen, and you could select the play you wanted to watch. Then it would show the sideline view and the endzone view, one after the other. Now it seems like you have to pick either sideline OR endzone at the beginning, there is no way to toggle between the two during the game, and you can't go to a specific play, either. Is this just how it is now, or am I missing something? Because from where I sit now, significant features have been lost (unless I'm just missing them) It's become ponderous and difficult to do things that used to be simple and straightforward 😠. Help? Edit: OK, I've figured a few things out. If I watch full-screen, there is no way to toggle. If I watch in a tiny postage-stamp area of a screen cluttered with NFL blurf, I can toggle between sideline, endzone, and broadcast but, I can't figure out a good way to neatly go back and watch the same play from a different angle. (Not to mention that the postage stamp is damned hard to see any detail) Have not found a feature that allows one to list and choose plays.
  22. It's amazing to watch some of that old footage. That would for reals be a penalty these days. And even then, didn't I see a yellow flag fly out?
