  1. FWIW I thought Daboll's playcalling was odd Allen's rookie season and did Allen no favors behind a crap OL that couldn't run block, either - but he's improved each year IMHO.
  2. Yes this would be why Hughes came up to Allen after the Vikes hurdle and said "never do that again"
  3. No offense (HA!) but I hate the drive to nickname everyone and everything the minute it makes a few plays Let's see where it is at the end of the season
  4. Knock it off with questioning people's right to comment on your posts. As you point out, it's a message board, expressing opinions is what we do here.
  5. Exactly He's been asked to explain how censorship is involved here. Can't or won't. Yep, This. Anyone in this age who believes email that originates or ends from a work, school, or government email address is private...has just not been paying attention for the last 2+ decades Wait, you're defending one guys right to comment on a message board, while asking "who are you to comment" of another guy?
  6. I think you're not listening at all to anything I say much less acknowledging it, which makes it unsatisfying to try to discuss with you. Example: -Dozens or hundreds or thousands of other applicants have one thing until proven otherwise that Gruden does not on his resume: respect and integrity towards his employers/higher-ups in his industry, and respect and integrity towards others. Gruden's resume as either a coach or a commentator is not so strong that it makes up for that. -You have yet to show this has anything to do with "censorship" much less that I or anyone else here is a "pro censorship people". Define censorship, and then explain what is being censored. So I'm out. I'll leave you with this:
  7. So I found this: From the official 2013 NFL rulebook (page 51) A "pick-play" is essentially offensive pass interference, the following clarification gets at the heart of the matter. Rule 8, Section 5, Article 2 (Forward Pass, Backward Pass, Fumble) Prohibited Acts by both teams while the ball is in the air. Acts that are pass interference include, but are not limited to: (e) cutting off the path of an opponent by making contact with him, without playing the ball. Seems simple enough right? The important wording in this portion of the pass interference rule is "making contact with him." I don't see anything about "actively engage" there. But I rewatched all 3 similar plays, and I think it's just a well-designed play to allow Kelce to legally "pick" the defender on the outside receiver just by running his route against his defender, while the outside WR runs a route along the LOS or 1 yd deep. If his defender gets all up in his laundry, well then it's obviously not Kelce's fault that his ass is in the way. If the defender isn't trying to jam him off the line, he can just release slowly, it's not on the ref to judge his speed off the line. It's effectively a pick play, but because Kelsey is just doing his thing running his own route, it would never get called.
  8. We agree on the "dumb". The disagreement seems to be on the "private", perhaps. If you want your email to be private, download PGP and have the user you're sending it to download PGP. If you're sending an email to someone's NFL work address and expect it to be "private", that's naive AND dumb. Been that way for decades. There's nothing about him being officially "banned" from anything for life. But look at it this way. There are, at least, dozens if not hundreds or thousands, of qualified applicants for each of those jobs who have NOT done something dumb that deservedly breaking of management trust in the guy's judgement and integrity. How is it fair to employ someone who has been shown to have done that, over dozens or hundreds or thousands of other applicants who have not? "Censorship" is irrelevant here.
  9. But see, this isn't a legal thing. You insult the wrong people to the wrong people, you lose their trust in you and your judgement. Gruden hasn't been "permanently banished", he's resigned - speaking of "overkill". But a person doen't have a right to "regained trust". Employment by a specific business or employer is not some kind of a "civil right"
  10. My Mind Boggles. Racking up 35, 43, 40, and 38 points isn't enough for you? 40 points vs the Texans and 35 vs Miami isn't dominating? How do you define "dominating?"
  11. I've seen that video. It neither shows him kicking her head in, nor kicking her head at all. Police arrived and probably didn't look into it as well as they could have (didn't look at the surveillance film) but said she did not report injuries to them. Hunt also lost his job and a total of 1 season's salary, somewhere between $800-899k which ain't chump change to most of us. But this isn't to defend Hunt, what he did was wrong, but "kicking a woman's head in" is not an apt description of it. I've seen women who had their heads kicked in. This is not that thing. And "whataboutism" still misses the point. The world isn't fair. One doesn't have to create a scale of moral relativism and say "we can't object to Gruden because insulting the NFL commisioner, exec director of the NFLPA, and several NFL owners isn't nearly as bad as kicking and pushing a woman". It's never been OK to go on the record insulting the company owners and industry leaders, in any industry.
  12. "Click Wrong" has a ring to it, as well as serving as a cautionary advisory
  13. So good breakdown, Cover1 gets a little fanboy about the Bills D but overall shows how Frazier crafted a solid gameplan and the players did a great job of communicating and sharing responsibilities to minimize the grey areas between zones that Mahomes exploited so well in the AFCCG. Belt and suspenders belt and suspenders, backing each other up on almost every play all evening long. To me, brings up a question though: what is a pick play? If you go to about 18:30, clearest example of a play KC runs at least 3x. White is covering Hill (actually on this play, it's #17 Blake Bell), who is off the LOS to the bottom of the screen. Kelce is inside. On the snap, Kelce slows his release so that his big ass is right in Whites way as he tries to follow his guy on a shallow crosser. I'm not sure I understand how a pick play is defined. Isn't that a pick? Cover1 doesn't say anything about it. Effectively, it seems like a pick in that in having to avoid Kelce's big ass, White is separated from the guy he's covering. The first time the Chiefs did it, it worked for a first down and more. The second time the Bills had Hyde drop in to help and he was in perfect position to make the tackle short of the sticks - as it happened, Hill deflected the pass and Hyde picked it for a TD so HA serves you right.
  14. I thought the DPI on Tre and the uncalled DPI on Diggs were pretty egregious Both RTP were legit by rule Poyer's PF was inadvertant I think, but by rule, yes appropriate to call
  15. He was going after the ball IIRC. Trying to peanut punch it Milano was inactive, correct.
  16. I could be mistaken, but I think Hunt kind of kicked at a woman in a hallway. The woman neither got kicked in the head nor was injured, head or otherwise. It's still assault and battery, but without criminal charges or a civil action, Color Me Impressed if your field would take such notice. Mind me asking what field that is? This. You need to be "eco" when you rag on your higher-ups - Leave No Trace
  17. I can't violate copyright by copying and pasting the whole thing (and please don't anyone else), but if there are particular quarters or plays where you're curious what he says, I'd be glad to post portions I usually read on a Windows computer, because I like to watch the diagrams and plays he pulls on a decent size screen. Totally fair if you try the site for $1 and don't like it, bounce it. I've tried reading it through Safari on an ipad and not had problems. Never tried the TBN app
  18. Just need a balance. Also, early in the game if you show you're willing to be patient and grind your way down the field, sometimes the defense changes their tune and other things open up.
  19. Actually...the Chiefs have played "grind down the field" several times successfully when teams have played to take away the deep passing game. Like we did in the first game we played them last season. The problem is, they were able to run over us in that game. Sunday, we were able to stifle their run game as well. Yep, agree. And part of it is between Josh's ears. Sometimes guys are open, and he doesn't trust them or what he sees around them, or he misses short opportunities while looking for the kill shot. Agree. It got me....it got me....let's just say I liked to see it, a lot. Son, Two Words: Ad Blocker I had no idea it was buggy, slow or loaded with popups. Smooth and easy here.
  20. Wasn't it Collinsworth who called the Bills-SF game that took place in Arizona last year? He was pretty complimentarly towards Allen although he talked about "A Star is Born tonight" as though Allen hadn't already toasted the Seasnakes a few weeks earlier
  21. Not to diminish what you said, but it's not the same thing to say "I don't have a racist bone in my body" and to say "I have never made fun of someone with racial memes or used epiphets and sexual innuendo to insult people at the highest level in the industry where I worked" The former represents beliefs, the latter represents actions. We assume that beliefs drive actions, but it's not always that clear cut.
