  1. If you don't know how legit the source is but you want to talk about it, Put 'Er Here. If you want to start a unique thread about a trade rumor, especially from "The Twitters", please: 1) check the source - make sure it's actually Adam Schefter or Rappaport or Trepasso and not a "Spoof Account" 2) if it's a rumor, start your thread title with "Rumor" or "Speculation". If it's what you'd like to see start it with something like "Could you see...." or "How about...." 3) Please save "Trubisky to Washington" or the like for verified Done Deals
  2. I think this is a spoof account of "Bills Daily" which is a long-time sometimes knows something web coverage guy. I don't think we need a thread today for everyone's speculation - tell you what, I'll make and pin such a thread where y'all can Go Wild But in return, can y'all double check what you're seeing and make sure it's a legit journalist or insider account and not Just a Guy with a Twitter?
  3. This would (nervously) work for me. They don't even have to take on all of Brandon Scherff's $18M contract, just $4M or so
  4. I'm sure that was the reason he was signed - the Bills were an erg or two away from losing Josh Allen for 3-4 games last season (and perhaps could have gotten better play from a good backup). We wound up splitting those games, 2-2. You want a backup who could at least do the same. The year the Eagles won the Superbowl, they had a good backup. On the other hand...if Washington could trade us a quality piece that would put us over the top in exchange for a quality piece that would help them, Fair. I could be wrong, but I think Greg S means we would still win enough games to make the playoffs and have a shot at the Superbowl when Allen comes back (as opposed to missing the playoffs and sitting on the sofa come January)
  5. Here's one clip https://www.nfl.com/videos/manning-bros-share-josh-allen-stories-at-the-manning-passing-academy Here's my favorite excerpt, where Peyton complains that Josh and Pat Mahomes were visiting his family during the Masters tournament, and "what wasn't cool is that you drank all the beer at our party". Says he had to do three beer runs because he "drank all the beer" and "I didn't want to disappoint the two best QBs in the league" (that one seemed to just totally slide past Josh with no reaction - sure, a first ballot HOF QB calls him one of the two best QBs in the league every day now). Josh responded with a Chad Henne story.
  6. This. Not only did Wilkins try to Gator-roll Josh, but you can believe there was some jawing going on as well. "Bye Felicia!" Well, @Virgiland @Mango could be right about getting a flag and so forth, but Man! At that point in the game, how Chickenshit would that be?
  7. Devin Singletary Appreciation Thread Clip #2 This is still from the Cover1 Film Room, about 21:20 in Top of the 4th, Score Bills up 10-3, 3rd and 13. Beasley converts. That's our man Motor at the tip of the Buffalo Hump, just neutralizing safety Brandon Jones "Not Today, Fella" I wouldn't say Josh has time to dial up Jimmy Johns and get a sandwich delivered, but he's got enough time to let Beasley's route develop and make the play. Incidentally Morse makes a clean handoff to Boettger in order to meet and pick up a late blitzer. Good job by the OL.
  8. The reason Devin "ran into his own teammate" was that his OL teammate who was supposed to be opening a hole for him got thrown aside like a ragdoll Sheesh
  9. Only on TBD does a "Motor Appreciation Thread" get turned into a "Bash Mongo" thread. I will tell you that if you watch the full clip, though he does get shoved off balance, Mongo still manages to delay his guy and send him deep into the backfield - where he gets a bead on Josh only after the ball is on its way. (I do not promise that holding wasn't involved, but he's sufficiently subtle about it)
  10. People who study the Chiefs like @Zerovoltz are calling out their IOL as a strength 🤷‍♂️ He's being asked to handle a lot as the center, and there have been a few errant snaps I wanted us to take him and do what we did with Eric Wood: play him at LG for a season or two then swap him to C I dunno, maybe he was evaluated as not being able to play G
  11. Watching Cover1's piece on the Miami-Bills game The point of the clip was a 3rd down dual crossing route which Beasley was not able to haul in and convert I noticed this: That's Devin Singletary there, knocking a 6'1" 230 lb LB ass-over-teakettle to form the "Y" in "YMCA" then land harmlessly, like a discarded burger wrapper, at Josh Allen's feet as he makes his throw. Since I was one who called Motor out for his poor blocking skills in 2019, I feel it behooves me to show some appreciation for this almost FredEx-worthy RB block on a LB.
  12. Saquon Barkley taking a step Danny Dimes in year 3 taking a step This was gonna be their year for sure
  13. I said Oh no, William and Mary won't do now
  14. So basically the result of Mahomes pick was a 30 second timeout and a 6 yd loss with a new set of downs for KC?
  15. My TV provider is a fractal antenna in the attic
  16. Teams literally have not played each other for 4 years, and ....things were different then Anyone know how to stream the ESPN2 feed? Would the Yahoo Sports app have it?
  17. They may have to give Bates a try, if Brown is still out with a back injury. I thought it was interesting that the Bills brought Bates in at RG ahead of Ford.
  18. Believe me or don't - there are many many OG in the league who would be worse than Mongo. Some would be MUCH worse.
  19. That's basically it. I was a happy camper as we approached the bottom of the 2nd round and Creed Humphrey was still on the board. I was like OK, Beaner - you signed Obada who might show us something at DL; you drafted Rousseau; now do something for the offense! But No. It's foolish hyperbole to say they're the worst. They're not the worst. And even against Raekown Davis, Allen could hold the ball for 3 or 4 Mississippis at times yesterday. But our OL limits what we can do against the best DLs, and ultimately that may limit us, even with Allen's superior pocket sense and mobility.
  20. Can we please keep a grip? (I know, probably too much to ask) On a per-game basis, Bills are still leading the league in PF (32.7 ppg) and 4th (I believe) in YPG with >400 ypg. That just doesn't happen, even with Mr. Prestidigitation back there under center, if 1/5 of the OL is the "worst starter at any position in the entire league" That's gonna depend upon how Brown's back injury progresses, I assume. Do we know that for a fact? How? (Not doubting you, just asking for the source - article, tweet, whateves)
  21. I'm not ready to say he's worse this year. But last season, he struggled against the best DLmen - he must send Father's Day cards to Chris Jones and Cam Heyward. He was OK against others. I believe the thought was with a full offseason to strengthen and condition, he'd improve - and that has not happened, either with Feliciano or with Ford.
  22. I mean, these guys got a good look in preseason and the guys who were starting were starting for a reason
  23. Last season, the OL did seem to improve when he came back. But perhaps playing better than Brian Winters at RG may not be the highest of high bars. I'm not gonna say it's "good news" for the Bills until/unless we know for sure that someone better will replace him.
