  1. Isn’t that a penalty if you’re the first guy to touch after re-establishing?
  2. The question is not where Singletary is currently in the NFL in yards/reception (and by the way, nice show comparing him to TE and WR) The question is whether it’s reasonable to anoint Breida as transformative to the Bills offense and to compare his statistics to Singletary’s when the sample size is so different, and for Breida, so small. If you want to “eyeball test” him as a better pass catcher than Singletary based upon 7 targets that’s your eyeballs.
  3. Apparently Jones can throw deep if you give him time and off coverage
  4. We said the same thing about the Titans. Looks like the Pat’s horseshoe wedged further in
  5. Please. Data including NO game (click to embiggen): Breida 5.2 ypc, Singletary 4.7 ypc If you want to include passing statistics and look at total yards, then you need to account for the fact that Singletary has 124 touches to Breida's 27 touches. A large disparity in sample size (almost 5x) is a standard "watch out" for statistical analysis. This is especially true with a game like NFL football where it's well known that as opponents get more film on tendencies, plays get harder to make. Breida has added a nice element to our run game, but let's not go nuts.
  6. This. Plus blocking. Understanding the variations in who the back is supposed to block from the same protection given different defensive looks, not simple
  7. There seems to be a good bit of interest in this game so let's see how a game-day thread flies. My take is Go Titans, though I do understand the opposite logic. If no one cares I'll unpin
  8. For me, especially with the loss of Tre White, I would like to see the Bills have the best chance to win the division. A Pats loss is best for that
  9. Pro-football-reference lists fumbles whether or not they are recovered. Muffs are listed as muffs (but not necessarily fumbles) whether or not they are recovered McKenzie has one fumble and one muff on the season. If you believe he has more, show your work I don't have a problem with McDermott benching lil' Dirty and giving Stevenson a shot. I thought that fumble was egregious and we can't have that. On the other hand, I think McKenzie deserves his propers for his play as a returner this season, and he hasn't shown me "crappy hands". Again, if that's what you see, I'm willing to be corrected, but Tell - which games, which quarter, etc etc.
  10. McKenzie hasn't been returning kicks or punts on regular basis in 2019 and 2020. How many has he fumbled or muffed this season? How many did Stevenson muff in this past game?
  11. Deserves a Bump! for today Most of us can "enjoy" Tennessee at New England Tampa @ Indy is available, but largely to the rest of the country while wide swaths of NYS and PA get Philly at Giants
  12. Not really. You want two CBs playing. In preseason, if I recall correctly, Johnson did not look so good as a boundry CB. So to put Klein on the field, you need to take Johnson off AND have Dane Jackson playing.
  13. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2021/11/25/22802117/afc-playoff-picture-buffalo-bills-rooting-interests-week-12 Tennessee Titans (8-3) over New England Patriots (7-4) but notes that if you think the Bills can handle the Pats you'd go the other way Cleveland Browns (5-5) over Baltimore Ravens (7-3) Tampa Bay Buccaneers over Indianapolis Colts (6-5) Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4-1) over Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) Denver Broncos (5-5) over Los Angeles Chargers (6-4) Atlanta Falcons over Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) Miami Dolphins (4-7) over Carolina Panthers (edit: just saw you found it but decided to leave this since the content differs a bit) This article asserts that the Bills coaches will be rooting hard for the Patriots. I don't think so. https://www.oleantimesherald.com/sports/white-s-injury-complicates-finish-for-bills/article_b58edb34-0799-5692-acfc-e00b6e7a3fc4.html Here's the take published on One Bills Drive https://www.buffalobills.com/news/what-bills-fans-need-to-know-about-the-2021-afc-playoff-race-week-12

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh Tampa Bay at Indianapolis Tennessee at New England Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Cleveland at Baltimore Do we want threads for any of these? Your thoughts below
  15. Omicron. This is one of the best summaries I've seen to date: https://yourlocalepidemiologist.substack.com/p/omicron-update-nov-27 Omicron has been declared a "Variant of Concern" by WHO because it has a large number of mutations to the Spike protein and appears to be more transmissible -The Spike protein is the protein that studs the outside of the virus and binds to the cellular receptor that allows the protein entry into our cells -The Spike protein is (not coincidentally) the target of vaccines (vaccines target what the body sees, and that's the protein studding the outside of the intact virus) However, there is a whole lot of surmise and not a lot of hard data yet -We don't yet know if or to what degree vaccines will still be protective -Or whether/to what degree it's more transmissible -Or whether it will be more or less virulant NY Times coverage: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/26/health/omicron-variant-vaccines.html I have some questions about the data from South Africa that I'm not going to comment on; things will sort out in a week or two.
