Weren’t they Chubb-less and Hunt-less? Sack by Garrett! Career high. And that was pretty impressive, too - he tossed Vllianueva aside like a toy -

Bills vs Pats: “pound for pound” teams analysis

Dude, it’s “on you” to make a good argument and state it clearly. If your argument is that their LBs have been playing lights-out this season and have a lot of experience in this system, that’s fine - but that’s not what you said (or reiterated above, in the form of “all the hardware on their fingers” - as someone on the SB years Steelers said “take those off and put them on the shelf, boys, they won’t help us this year”) AS far as “number one scoring defense”, the Patriots are allowing an average of 15.3 PPG after today. The Bills are allowing an average of 15.2 PPG. 🤷♂️ I’m puzzled by the reference to “individual stats”, since I did not mention individual stats. Is this a pure straw man, or are you responding to someone else without the extra work of quoting them? -

TBH, I haven’t watched a lot of the Pats games - primarily two of them, today vs the Titans, and two weeks ago vs. the Browns. How many and which of the Bills games have you watched? I somewhat don’t understand the comparison. The Bills are nominally a 3-4 D but in actuality live in Nickel, meaning they play only 2 LB almost every snap. How do you compare the LB in that defense to the 3-4 D the Patriots play, where the expected role of the LBs is so different? A key question for the Bills is, do we get Lotulelei, Brown, and Feliciano back? And if we do, who do we get back - the same player that went out? Rested and reinvigorated? A shadow of their former selves struggling to return to form? -
I assume our rooting interest is for the Browns at this point? Who you got?

Well, in theory, they could get a stop here and with 13 minutes left score 2x, but in practice the Rams seem to have developed terminal rectocranial inversion so I’m not sure they can perform the on-field surgery to get right Example: Bojo pins Rams at the 1 with the help of rectocranial inversion on the part of the Rams PR It would be very Rams-y at this point to fumble or throw a pick -

The Patriots have been playing good D, but C’mon man. We all know that a player’s experience and playoff experience in the past do not mean marvelous play this season. Bad argument. -

Does anyone else think Aaron Rodgers just has a punchable face? I was so upset that he didn’t get leveled on that TD run. And now the Refs gift-wrap a 1st down for GB -
Matt Breida transforms our offense.
Hapless Bills Fan replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Neither Moss nor Singletary have the speed to get to the edge IMO, and both of them struggle behind our run blocking. Breida is better at seeing a slight gap and shooting through it. That said, while I actually believe that Breida gives us a valuable additional element to our D and deserves more playing time, if he’s going to contribute he needs to not make many mistakes like on the screen pass/Knox canceled TD or in protection. And it will get harder as teams get more film on him. -

The Patriots play a 3-4 base D (3 DL and 4 LB). Judon’s responsibilities as an OLB in that 3-4 are more analogous to a DE in a 4-3. Judon is a great player. I coveted him in FA. -

Over what time frame? This season, he’s attempted 5 more FG than Bass. He’s missed 2 vs 3 for Bass, giving him a slightly higher FG% at present. But then, he’s 26 of 30 on XP attempts whereas so far so good, Bass is 34 of 34 on XPs I wouldn’t mind calling it a push -

I think this brings up a valid point overall. The Pats are overall a solid, well coached team. They epitomize the ‘never too high, never too low, don’t ride the rollercoaster” philosophy The Bills (including Allen) speak that philosophy, but their play on the field week to week is Screaming Eagle (in the roller coaster sense). On average, I would say they’re a better team than the Pats but that average speaks to the cartoon where the shot pattern is to the right and the left of the duck, and the caption reads “on average, the duck is dead”. Allen can be all-world brilliant. He can also make boneheaded throws that put the ball into avoidable Harm’s Way at times when he would arguably be better served to take a check down, now it’s a shorter third down (vs. a pick and a COP) Of course, Mac Jones from what I’ve seen has not been made to pay as much as he could for his mistakes and his risky throws so -
