  1. Sorry, that wasn't clear to me from what I read.
  2. Practice squad counts. 91% means 6 players unvaxxed out of 69. Lotulelei talked about taking the monoclonal Ab infusion after taking to Dawkins about it and how he felt better almost immediately afterwards. It has to be given early in an infection to "at risk" patients (which these guys are by virtue of being "Big Men") before serious symptoms develop, so Feliciano is getting it at the right time.
  3. Brandon Beane in an interview. McDermott said "in the single digits" and then Beane said 91%. That basically means 6 players. Boettger, Brown, Klein, Lotulelei, and 2 others. His point (Feliciano's) is to quit slamming on unvaccinated players because both vaccinated and unvaccinated players are being infected/reinfected at present.
  4. I don't think it's "inevitable", but I think it's very likely given the NFL's change in policy to only test players with self-reported symptoms. They are betting the season on the belief that asymptomatic players won't be contagious. It's only Tuesday.
  5. Not quite. Players in each position group are "randomly selected" for testing (regardless of symptoms) after which, even if asymptomatic, they're out.
  6. I believe McDermott already said Sanders would miss the Pats game with his knee.
  7. Yes, he is. We don't know which vaccine and whether he got a second shot (if J&J) or booster though. It makes a difference. FWIW, Feliciano does a lot of re-tweeting conspiracy theory stuff so he may well have gone "one and done" J&J. Didn't sound like it from what he tweeted "ended up in the ER Sunday". I'm guessing the Bills would arrange for their players to get the mAB infusion treatment privately to minimize additional exposure vs. going to the ER, unless additional medical evaluation/monitoring/treatment were needed. (also, see link above for evaluation of monoclonal antibodies and Omicron Covid).
  8. I sit corrected. Fair point. Jonnu Smith made a straight-up circus catch on the first of Mac Jones 3 passes against us.
  9. Reporter who broke story says Meyer’s lawyers admit kick happened https://sports.yahoo.com/reporter-says-urban-meyers-lawyers-acknowledged-that-the-ex-jaguars-head-coach-kicked-josh-lambo-025835652.html
  10. I don’t think he’s a fraud, but he’s been placed into an optimal situation to maximize the talents he has. The canonization ceremonies aren’t his fault. This. Or even a C/G in the 5th instead of Doyle.
  11. I actually hope the Bills PR staff doesn’t, because so far whenever the Bills PR celebrates a win with an especially good video clip the Bills get walloped the following week. Worked after we beat the Ravens last playoffs, same after we beat the Jets this season.
  12. Unfortunately that would lock out people who aren't mods from contributing. So we have to depend upon self-control Heh. Sal C article on Bills and Pats covid list additions https://www.audacy.com/wgr550/sports/bills/bills-place-epenesa-two-others-on-reserve-covid-19-list?utm_campaign=sharebutton&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_term=WGRAM
  13. It's because whether or not it's random, if key players are selected for testing and test positive/are excluded it will significantly impact the games. Either you care about keeping Covid out of the facility, or you don't. If you don't care, don't care - what is gained by random testing, to potentially outweigh the game impacts? And yes, anytime the NFL is "randomly" selecting players, there is the potential for it being manipulated at some point. Not necessarily as part of an NFL conspiracy, but what if the IQVIA/ICS employees happen to have a betting or fan interest? Either you think asymptomatic, Covid-infected players can play and are not infectious, or you don't. So if you believe the former, what is the point of this random surveillance testing and then keeping out asymptomatic, Covid-infected players you detect?
  14. That is true, but at IOL where we were weak and couldn't run last year, Beane was evidently counting on Ford and on Feliciano to both take steps forward, and his "plan B if they don't" was weak (oft-injured Lamp and not-good-enough-for-the-Titans Douglas). It was a Plan where You Lose Your Hat - a Bad Plan
  15. Apparently, Miami counts as a close loss to a good team when the Pats play them, but they're a bad team and smoking them 2x doesn't count when the Bills play Also it matters that the Chiefs were "bad" when we played them, but doesn't matter that the Titans were without Henry, Brown and Jones when the Pats beat them, etc. So for a bit of an objective measure, here's the current seeding Interesting point is that the Strength of Schedule for the Bills and Pats wins are almost identical (0.48 vs 0.479) and the Strength of Victory is higher for the Bills (0.432 vs 0.413). Now I don't know how these things are calculated or what they do or don't take into account, but it's probably a bit more objective than "we lost close games to Miami but it doesn't matter you blew them out".
  16. Separate thread for news at least, so we can find it
  17. Here's the actual memo So if you read that right, the NFL's CMO and the testing company can decide which position groups and which players on that position group will get tested (and potentially ruled out, even if asymptomatic). You like that? You like that? I don't like that, Not One Bit.
  18. It's like the "see no evil" Chinese monkey statue. No seriously - I believe the NFL's idea is that vaccinated players who test positive for Omicron have no symptoms and are not contagious. Therefore not testing will leave more players available to play. (Apparently the WFT recent surge were mostly asymptomatic). I don't think there's a lot of data as yet supporting either contention, the variant being new and all. Hopefully the NFL has their own data. It's not at all, unless they self-report symptoms or unless they are "randomly selected" for a test. I read the new protocols and I was like giving them the "modified eye roll" until I got to the part about the "randomly selected" for tests. Then I flipped out. OF COURSE we can trust the NFL to be truly random in these selections. OF COURSE we can. In theory, the testing company could "randomly select" Allen and Diggs for testing before we play the Patriots and Out They Go if positive.
  19. I don't know how this will work, but a separate thread for news, tweets, etc was requested. So we'll try it and see.
