  1. Yes, that’s the point of the 10-day isolation period, to allow a fair confidence that a guy who is still testing positive isn’t infectious (shedding dead virus)
  2. Funny how this works in the favor of an iconic QB setting a record that day
  3. Yeah, I was thinking Browns bulletin boards be lit up like ours was on that No Call
  4. Then I completely agree with you. We will be elevating our own PS guys like Hodgins and Gentry and giving more playing time to Kumerow and McKenzie before we go hunting for the Ghosts of Seasons Past in living rooms 'round the country.
  5. He's not only already signed, he's already active on game days because of his ST plays
  6. OK, yes, I see he has been declared "out" and will not travel with the team Hope everything's OK with him
  7. Dawkins calves noted for being about the same size as Isaiah McKenzie's waist Them's Shnow calves
  8. Has Star been declared "out"? He's listed with a game status of "questionable"
  9. Um, I don’t think they can do that. Yes, we can activate a player tomorrow am but it’s harder for an Away game ‘cuz he can’t travel with the team until cleared I think the confusion lies between activation from IR/elevation from the practice squad and activation from Covid list
  10. I think the Ro is being overestimated for {reasons}. That statement has been made and publicized by media, but UK estimates differ. Otherwise, exactly - there are significant differences between SA and UK and US demographics in terms of age, vaccination status, and prior infection, so we need a bit of time to sort this out.
  11. On the one hand, I agree with you, a player's private health decisions are not our business. I 100% support players saying "gonna keep that to myself" when asked if they've been vaxxed. On the other hand, the NFL exists and the players get paid because the fans are, well, Fans - we buy PSLs, tickets, concessions, team merchandise, player brand merchandise, watch games on TV, pay for Gamepass. Players invite us fans into their business with social media accounts because it "builds their brand" and sells their "Tre White Goalie Academy" or "Felic Navidad" shirts. The NFL encourages fantasy football and Madden and so forth because it "fans" (see what I did there?) interest in the game and helps the NFL land big television contracts that are the heart of their income stream - and thus, the heart of why players get paid. At the base of it, it's fan support that makes the NFL the NFL and gives the players their paydays. So then when it comes down to availability for a critical game, isn't it a little two-faced to turn around at that point and diss off the fans with "you're just a fan, you ain't important" if a fan has questions about why crucial players aren't available because of the collision between their personal health decisions and the NFL's clearly publicized (ahead of the season) rules? See what I mean? It's not that guy's questions in particular ("every drug they've ingested and every injection they've had" seriously? that's a bit over the top!) But it does seem legit for fans to have questions when it affects players' availability. And it's a fair point that players who cite stuff like "need more information" "only been out a year" etc sometimes seem willing to take other treatments (the Covid mAb therapy for example) that have been out for "less than a year" and have significant side effects, or therapies that have no solid data supporting their benefit such as the popular "recovery" IV therapies - and players have had debilitating side effects when those go wrong. 🤷‍♂️
  12. This. (I'd like to think it was with a lot of thought - I have concerns it was with a lot of mis- or incomplete information but that's another day) Example: Justin Zimmer fought for a roster spot and earned playing time with the Bills. His snaps were trending up at the start of the season ahead of Harrison Phillips. Now Zimmer is on season-ending IR and Phillips seems to be doing what the coaches want with his snaps. Tough luck for Zimmer, better chance of a payday for Phillips. A 4th round pick isn't enough investment to guarantee a guy a spot at the table for a second contract, or even a second look elsewhere. This was Davis golden opportunity to shine and show the Bills coaches (and a lot of other coaches) what he could do when he saw a bigger role on the field. Now it's someone else's opportunity to shine and show what they can do.
  13. I think it applies, but only if the player isn’t vaccinated and boosted The thing about Brown, is he’s been signed and cut by 3 different teams this season. Something is up.
  14. Given the NFL’s track record on concussions and TBI, a player would be correct to be skeptical at the notion the NFL is concerned with their long-term health and wellbeing. Their short term on-field availability this season, and improving the chances overall of on-field availability for players and coaches, Sure. Note that I’m not suggesting being vaccinated isn’t conducive to both long and short term well being - to the contrary. I’m just pointing out that if I were a player, I would have cause to regard the notion that the NFL is trying to protect my health with a strong degree of suspicion. Probably not the place to get into general statistics about hospitalizations and such, and yeah I do think it’s a bit of an absurd analogy.
  15. Oh, Did He Now Who are these two free agent linemen that can actually play in the NFL (and that are known to be healthy)? Keep in mind when the Titans needed emergency help at OT, they signed Bobby Hart.
  16. Ah.....Bobby Hart is on the Covid list (This version is missing Davis, Ford and anyone else who went on today) https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/covid-19-list-tracker-for-players-nfl-policies/
  17. I understand your point, but I think RT and RG are problems. Williams was the backup at RT (bumped down the depth chart by Brown). Ford or Feliciano were the backups at RG (bumped down the depth chart by Williams). Boettger was the backup to Feliciano at LG. So at this point, we're playing backups at 4 positions on OL. Now I grant that the Starters haven't been all-stars, but they were starting because they won the job over the guys who are playing now
  18. Not my birthday, but I'll pass the happy wishes to the Birthday Party
  19. Nice visualization of how Covid has ebbed and waned across the country https://www.axios.com/year-in-covid-visual-c84387bc-ffd4-4c46-aff2-be2178a55d41.html
