  1. Oh, wow. Wonder if he's in game shape. Count me as one who thinks the Colts would be far more dangerous with Rivers.
  2. When has KC had success with a backup? Mahomes has played >90% of the snaps in every game but one this year (where he played 75%, into the 4Q). They lost that one 27-3 Mahomes played >80% of the snaps in every game but week 17 last year (where he was inactive). They lost that one 38-21 I think the Colts passing game is like the Bills running game. It has to show up just enough that the other team feels they need to defend it. No.
  3. Good point. Josh has publicly said he hates "name dropping" so one would think in keeping with that, he wouldn't ask for special exceptions.
  4. Eh. It's totally fair on Josh to decline to answer questions about it and say he's going to keep medical info private. Totally respect that. But given that the man is the driver for most of the Bills offense this season and the current NFL protocols make a significant distinction, it has to be expected that fans want to know and will scour the InterWebs for clues.
  5. Fair. But I think there is still a chance that RHIP could apply.
  6. I think it was the crab casserole. I think TBD'ers in B'lo should make up a rota to ensure 'lil IMac is never without.
  7. I see your point, on the other hand, this spring, Josh's girlfriend Britt Williams posted pics of shopping in Target with their Silver Lab puppy. People who are Not Josh Allen and Not Josh Allen's Girlfriend probably get told to leave and return without the dog. RHIP probably applies
  8. I can't figure out the rules on masked/unmasked in interviews. Almost no players wear masks, but Hyde was wearing one in the Patriots post game. Does that mean....Poyer got vaxxed but Hyde didn't? 😲
  9. I'd like to see Gugny vs Cody Ford. Hammer Time! I personally think it's a totally classless and weak sauce remark in the way of a Birthday Greeting
  10. As far as I know, but here: https://static.www.nfl.com/image/upload/v1636480927/league/kemnihvgpwnu1fws6uer.pdf https://operations.nfl.com/updates/football-ops/the-nfl-releases-enhanced-covid-19-protocols/ McKenzie is vaccinated. I don't think they have limitations on where a vaccinated player can go and who he can interact with outside the facility. Another example of a great Feel-Good story involving Jets QB Zach Wilson: https://nypost.com/2021/12/26/zach-wilson-gifts-nj-diner-waitress-two-jets-tickets-video/ But it's by reason of these kind of normal, human interactions outside the facility that I think Dr Allen Sills and the "let's stop Covid in the NFL by going to enhanced protocols within the facility and not testing 95% of the players" is probably not gonna work too well.
  11. Maybe the pierogi was closest to his location
  12. I was just thinking, could Grandpa Ron send McKenzie some of that Crabmeat Cassarole for the next two games?
  13. Key bit from Trimble's article: KC moved on from LT Eric Fisher. He started Week 2 for the Colts. The Colts are apparently in the forefront on managing and rehabbing Achilles injuries with a return-to-play of >80%. He had a bit of a rocky start but seems to have settled in.
  14. Oh, wow. I hadn't thought of it from the perspective of "changed rules = unfair competitive advantage". So your argument is that earlier in the season, teams were forced to play without key players that may have cost them a game, so now if key players on other teams are allowed back, that's unfair? There's the other part of the picture though, which is the recent surge in cases, after being pretty well controlled all through the season (click to embiggen) I'm not good at this kind of debate, but I think one could argue that losing players to the Covid list poses a new extreme of competitive disadvantage to all teams in the last 2 weeks. I guess overall, I'm in favor of the NFL doing its best job of following their current data and current science. But I wish they were willing to be more forthcoming and share their data transparently, because absent that, I understand why it looks to some people as though they are "making it up as they go along"
  15. They do have Jonathan Taylor. The Q is how effective is he if the opponent can just key on him and not worry about passing at all
  16. It's really simple. If we doing give them viewership or clicks, they'll be gone.
  17. Beasley is eligible to come off the list this Thurs or Fri (depending upon the date of the sample that put him on the list, 12/20 or 12/21 - he went on 12/21). So he could be back for Atlanta under the old regulations. Davis went on the list Fri 12/24 so not eligible to come off until 1/2 or 1/3 (depending on the date of the sample that put him on the list). He's out unless the NFLPA/NFL "step on the gas" about new rules based on new CDC recommendation.
  18. They should have done so years ago. I seem to recall one fairly publicized game where Aaron Rodgers lit it up and had a lower QBR than Tim Tebow https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/10/espns-qbr-stat-puts-tebow-ahead-of-rodgers/ Additional sampling of bemusement with it: https://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/11/espn-qbr-stat-worst-stat-tom-brady-behind-ryan-fitzpatrick-what-is-qbr https://www.sports-central.org/sports/2011/08/10/espns_double-secret_qbr_still_shrouded_in_mystery.php
  19. I have no idea how much of the population they are - seriously - kind of doubt you do too. I suspect it's more than you believe, given that antigen tests are being cranked out full bore by mfrs and are a huge challenge to find - also living in MO I tend to feel health departments are hamstrung everywhere but then I talk to people from other states where the normal DPH stuff is still getting done and close contacts do get tested. So 🤷‍♂️ who knows. Not football relevant, except to note that part of the protocol change was that clubs were to distribute home antigen tests to players for the use of friends and families. Whether they actually use them before get-togethers or just stack them up in a cabinet, again 🤷‍♂️ but I'd bet my last dime they aren't masking. Seems like Judon was part of the party gang-tackling Allen on a few of his runs, and they were exchanging "views" on the ground. On at least one occasion it appeared Judon was kicking Allen after the play and on another it appeared he was trying to punch Allen on the excuse of punching the ball (while the guy's on his back? Seriously, Judon?) and Allen stiff-armed him and threw him off. I don't think they like each other.
  20. Because they test, was this a trick question? Some colleges and employers test everyone every week. For example nursing homes really ought to do this, and some do. Hospitals test patients before admission for scheduled procedures or outpatient procedures For international flights, passengers must test (-) within 48 hrs People with immunocompromised or highly at risk friends and relatives do antigen tests before they visit Close contacts of infected people in locales that are still doing test-trace-isolate test 3-5 days post contact etc etc - just off the top of my head. Returning this to football relevance, what the NFL is doing by dropping testing of asymptomatic players is wagering the season on their in-house data, whatever it may be, that asymptomatic players will not transmit Covid to their fellow players while the team is employing enhanced protocols in the facility. I have reservations about this notion because I think the players are gathering outside the facility for meals and holiday gatherings and etc. But that's the plan.
  21. Later on in the Orlovsky piece, he talks about Mac Jones INT and how the game could have gotten more out of hand for the Bills. When the Patriots were on winning streak and Mac Jones was making some of the throws he made, I thought at the time "man, a ball hawking team is gonna pick him". He's been throwing it into double coverage and making off-target throws and his guys have been bringing it in and making circus catches for him. Sooner or later that will catch up with a passer.
  22. That'd be helpful. I think they may find that most players are symptomatic and continue to test positive, though. Guess we'll see what they come up with
  23. Seems to me this is the heart of the issue. In the AFCCG, seemed like the Chiefs had made a pretty good study (maybe the Colts did too) of how to create gaps in the Bills D they could exploit. Seems like in the KC game earlier this season, the Bills D did a pretty good job coming up with trade rules that filled the gaps. This help? I agree on the jargon sometimes, but understanding the basic lingo is ABC
