  1. Turf can be heated. HS field near here is just trying to keep it above freezing so it’s not hard
  2. Dude, you don't trade draft resources for a RB with a $7.2M contract so that he can be part of a committee and get 12 carries a game
  3. https://www.audacy.com/929thegame/sports/atlanta-falcons/keys-to-falcons-victory-on-sunday Exploiting the Bills' weaknesses is the key to a Falcons victory Any Given Sunday, but the Falcons have been 31st in rush yards gained, 25th in rush attempts on offense, and 25th in rush yards against.
  4. So another variant of "we don't really need to go all out and put our best guys on the field to win against the Falcons"? I guess that could be the correct interpretation. If so I disagree. The Bills have lost too many winnable games for that to seem like a good strategy when the last 2 games are "must wins" The Falcons are 7-2 in 1 score games this season The Bills are 0-5 in 1 score games this season Either it's bad luck, or bad attitude "looking past" teams we really should be able to beat. We better take no chances here.
  5. Does the phrase "sunk cost" have meaning to you? If the guy is a "stupid signing" (as you say) because he's not playing well, how will "let him earn" by playing him help the Bills?
  6. IMO Ankou has been outplaying Butler, who tends to look as though he's phoning it in at times
  7. I'm wondering what part of "No" you don't understand I'm guessing just the "N" and then the "o"
  8. That's "stinkin' thinkin" IMO. Marking the next 2 games on the calendar as "sure wins" is the best way to drop one and lose the AFC East. We already lost the Jags game thinking we just had to show up and roll over them. We can't afford to do it again. Resting the best players who are "ready to go" is exactly that thing - a thinking pattern that we don't need to "give it everything we got" from "Play One to Play None". In particular, the Falcons can still reach the playoffs if they win the next 2 games! They are going to give us everything we got. Now, that said.....I would like to see less Sanders and more Davis, not because we should "rest up" some of our players but because I feel Davis has shown he can "get it done" and has earned more snaps - and also because I think healthy Davis might be better than hampered Sanders. It can't be helped. If the Bills "took care of business" against the Jaguars and won 1 of 2 close games against the Steelers and Tennessee, sure. But we didn't, and we need those last 2 games. Get out to a big lead and let the vets watch the young guys show their stuff, sure.
  9. They don't fill the same role. No Oliver would mean more Butler, maybe more Obada or Basham. 🤐
  10. Wait, what are you telling us about the Tooth Fairy?
  11. Not liking the "Questionable" on Ed, he seems to be the closest we have to a legit pass rusher Did he say anything about Star?
  12. Yes. Wait, did the injury designations already come out?
  13. Except that he played. 64% of ST snaps. Yeah, McDermott showed that last year against the Dolphins with a better playoff seeding on the line. He wanted that good seeding.
  14. That's a valid point. If Zay Jones and Cody Ford had worked out at least to be solid, steady players we'd probably feel differently about the draft capital on D I wasn't counting the 2017 draft because it preceded Beane
  15. Didn't play when? Jones was active and played 64% of the ST snaps last Sunday, which is as much as anyone on ST but Matakevich
  16. Really good non-paywall interactive feature by the Miami Herald https://www.miamiherald.com/news/special-reports/surfside-investigation/article256633336.html
  17. Bunch? Who? "Bunch of 2nd rounders" = 2? The two 2nd rounders of which I'm aware are Dawkins and Cody Ford, who is not looking like a good ROI in the 2nd round We have 4 3rd rounders - Spencer Brown, Moss, Knox, Singletary If you want to talk players acquired in FA or from other teams: Morse was a 2nd round pick Williams was a 4th round pick so was Jon Feliciano Boettger and Rick were undrafted Diggs was a 5th round pick Sanders was a 3rd round pick Beasley was undrafted Gabe Davis in the 4th McKenzie in the 5th Stevenson and Matt Breida undrafted Outside of Allen, the Bills have not invested much draft capitol on offense
