Maybe he could afford it before the gas prices rose due to the fact that the dollar is close to worthless!!! I am of the same belief don't do it if you can't afford it. But this administration is killing the dollar with it's policies. Having the Pres tell someone to get a different vehicle when everything he has done has crushed our economy is just plain wrong. and pbills calling someone a douchebag is not right.

You are really thick. It would be cheaper if that were true, because right now the teachers put in the smaller percentage, while the school districts put in the larger percentage, the true problem is while my employer uses todays cash to fund my 401k the schools are funding it from future income, so the only real cash they have in these plans is the money they collect fro the teachers. Do you not understand that? And yes that is pushing it into the future. And the other problem is they are not teaching these kids well enough so they can't compete for the better jobs

On that note I call bull ****, I know plenty of teachers, and the ones that have to put in the extra hours have to because of their own defiencies, not because of the work load. I work for a company that builds/rebuilds subway cars. I am what they used to call a drafter, but now it is all done on computer with specialized software.

well lets see I have been in my field 23 years I get $28/hr. I work 2080 hours/year for a total of $58240. Google tells me that teachers work around 190 days/year at 7 hours/day that = 1330 hours. I'll give them 25% more for having to get their masters degrees so $35 x 1330 = $46550

that was a great plan when the average lifespan was 65-70 years. But with people living to be eighty and ninety we can't afford to have them retire so young. At least not without contribuing more to their own retirement
