  1. If he produces even close to his best season thus far, it won't be here that he gets his next contract. When Mohamed Sanu is getting $6.5M/year on the open market, there's no way Woods takes less than $7M AAV. Can't swing that when you have to re-sign Sammy after 2017.
  2. Forgot Felton...thanks. I added him in since my original only showed 52. Good catch.
  3. I was planning to go with Damien Covington next.
  4. Until they are placed on IR, they're "officially" non-participants. That's why he doesn't list guys like Henderson, Easley, and Shaq.
  5. You're good at this...I'll go with DaShon Polk
  6. Oh that's solid. My next pull was Marvcus Patton
  7. Cross that bridge when we come to it. I suppose that--if it becomes a situation where something's got to give, then you waive Reggie Bush or look to trade one of your backup speed backs to a team that has injury issues.
  8. Here's my first crack at the roster: QB (3) - T. Taylor, E. Manuel, C. Jones RB (4) - L. McCoy, M. Gilislee, R. Bush, J. Williams FB (1) - J. Felton WR (6) - S. Watkins, R. Woods, M. Goodwin, G. Salas, W. Powell, D. Lewis TE (3) - C. Clay, C. Gragg, J. Dray OT (3) - C. Glenn, J. Mills, C. Kouandjio OG (3) - R. Incognito, J. Miller, R. Groy C (2) - E. Wood, F. Velasco K (2) - D. Carptenter, J. Gay P (1) - C. Schmidt LS (1) - G. Sanborn DL (3) - C. Bryant, A. Washington, J. Worthy DT (3) - M. Dareus, K. Williams, C. Walker EDGE (4) - J. Hughes, M. Lawson, L. Alexander, E. Stryker LB (4) - P. Brown, Z. Brown, B. Spikes, D. Hawthorne CB (5) - S. Gilmore, R. Darby, N. Robey-Coleman, C. White, K. Seymour S (5) - A. Williams, C. Graham, R. Blanton, C. Anderson, D. Williams NFI - S. Henderson PUP - S. Lawson, M. Easley RES/SUS - K. Williams IR - R. Ragland, I. Enemkpali
  9. I don't think there's any mystery to the RB position for the first 4 games. Shady/Gilislee/Bush/J-Will on the roster; Karlos on RES/SUS. Wilder Jr. to the PS
  10. Oh I'm just getting warmed up. Keith Newman?
  11. That was unusual for Goodwin; he's normally able to get around on the ball and track it relatively well. That throw from Tyrod was money though--right to the outside shoulder
  12. It's a fully-guaranteed contract That both sides are this dug in on issues that won't matter a year from now is absolutely absurd
  13. Most have been covered, but I'll add that Casey Walker looked like he might be roster-worthy at backup NT. Quick, active, generated some push
  14. See the quoted posts with numbers--it's a one-year prove-it deal with a team option afterward
  15. Life is boring when everyone agrees...at some point, I feel the need to try to understand where folks with opposite opinions are coming from in their thinking. Admittedly, some folks tend to take that opportunity to say outlandish things, which I then get sucked into debating, but hey, it makes things interesting. You haven't had many a discussion with TG yet, have you?
  16. I really need to hear the explanation for how this contract prevents the Bills from taking a QB high in the draft. Let's look for a moment at the Eagles, who gave Sam Bradford a contract with nearly identical AAV, and then picked a QB at No. 2 overall...please explain why they weren't prevented from picking Wentz, but the Bills would be prevented from picking a QB (setting aside the idea that I don't see Chad Kelly as a 1st round pick at the moment).
  17. No, YOU are missing the point. If you don't have a QB, then you take your shot whenever you can. That's what they did. That it didn't work out doesn't mean it was wrong. As to the "it factor", did you want him to say "he's not ideal, but we HAD to do SOMETHING "? Seriously?
  18. And to think, I always though I was acute guy.
  19. Unbelievable, isn't it? There's just no hope of a constructive conversation, despite how much I may try.
  20. You have me convinced that you are purposely being obtuse. Congratulations.
  21. I'm serious--at the time, they had nothing in the cupboard. They took the QB with the most upside. Just because he turned out to be a bust doesn't mean it was an ill-advised pick. That entire draft class was well below average; I have no problem with the EJ pick. The Kouandjio pick, on the other hand...
  22. Indeed. That's exactly the type of extension that I was okay with--anything else would've bothered me. What was wrong with the Manuel pick? Still haven't heard your reasoning for that one. And that last sentence makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. That's the literal opposite of what's being reported.
  23. You were not wholly mocked. A lot of discussion took place, and many folks said that a bridge deal would be fine, but that going all-in wouldn't be prudent at this time. It appears that the Bills got the best of both worlds: they have the financials of a bridge deal in place, and the structure of a team-option-based long-term deal in place.
