  1. Eric Rowe is a good football player--I was never as high on him as some here (cough, K-9, cough), but he can play for sure.
  2. I'll be watching the injury report closely on him
  3. Last 5 years (I removed kickers and punters because, well, they rarely ever get injured): 2015 Dallas Cowboys - Dez Bryant, WR: Missed 7 games Denver Broncos - Demaryius Thomas, WR: Missed 0 games Kansas City Chiefs - Justin Houston, LB: Missed 5 games New York Giants - Jason Pierre-Paul, DE: Missed 8 games 2014 Carolina Panthers - Greg Hardy DE: Missed 15 games Washington Redskins - Brian Orakpo OLB: Missed 9 games New Orleans Saints - Jimmy Graham TE: Missed 0 games 2013 Buffalo Bills - Jairus Byrd S: Missed 5 games Chicago Bears - Henry Melton DT: Missed 13 games Cincinnati Bengals - Michael Johnson DE: Missed 1 game Dallas Cowboys - Anthony Spencer LB: Missed 15 games Denver Broncos - Ryan Clady OT: Missed 14 games Kansas City Chiefs - Brandon Albert OT: Missed 4 games Miami Dolphins - Randy Starks DT: Missed 0 games 2012 Philadelphia Eagles - DeSean Jackson WR: Missed 5 games Detroit Lions - Cliff Avril DE: Missed 0 games San Francisco 49ers - Dashon Goldson S: Missed 0 games Oakland Raiders - Tyvon Branch SS: Missed 2 games Atlanta Falcons - Brent Grimes CB: Missed 15 games Washington Redskins - Fred Davis TE: Missed 9 games Baltimore Ravens - Ray Rice RB: Missed 0 games Chicago Bears - Matt Forte RB: Missed 1 game Arizona Cardinals - Calais Campbell DE: Missed 3 games New Orleans Saints - Drew Brees QB: Missed 0 games Dallas Cowboys - Anthony Spencer LB: Missed 2 games New England Patriots - Wes Welker WR: Missed 0 games Kansas City Chiefs - Dwayne Bowe WR: Missed 3 games 2011 New England Patriots - Logan Mankins G: Missed 1 game Philadelphia Eagles - Michael Vick QB: Missed 3 games New York Jets - David Harris LB: Missed 0 games San Diego Chargers - Vincent Jackson WR: Missed 0 games Baltimore Ravens - Haloti Ngata DT: Missed 0 games Indianapolis Colts - Peyton Manning QB: Missed 0 games Kansas City Chiefs - Tamba Hali LB: Missed 0 games Minnesota Vikings - Chad Greenway LB: Missed 0 games Carolina Panthers - Ryan Kalil C: Missed 0 games Jacksonville Jaguars - Marcedes Lewis TE: Missed 1 game Miami Dolphins - Paul Soliai DT: Missed 0 games Oakland Raiders - Kamerion Wimbley LB: Missed 0 games
  4. Charles Clay all day if they do that, plus I'm looking at Sammy and Woody on slants for chunk yards. One thing about Cover-2 is that the seams are very vulnerable. By contrast, if it's me, I'm playing underneath zone and "hands up" at the LOS. Clog throwing lanes and roll coverage to Sammy--make Tyrod hit deep shots to someone other than him
  5. Looks like we'll be wearing the blue jerseys.
  6. He ended up switching to 29 after 2 years though, I believe.
  7. Jason Peters has never hit the FA market in his career. Actually, that was one great example of why you want your best players under market-level contracts. He held out, underperformed, and was traded.
  8. LeSean McCoy on an 18-yard run after taking a handoff from Tyrod Taylor on the zone read
  9. There are many more cases besides Byrd.
  10. I think he's a good player for sure, just not as enamored with him as others apparently are--Moseley can ball for sure, but I think the other 3 (Orr/Suggs/Elvis) are nothing special in terms of run D. I would play a lot of 12 personnel against them and force the edges of Baltimore's defense to widen, creating space for Roman to get his linemen moving.
  11. Probably not on Albright; league began allowing LBs and DEs to wear numbers in the 40's last season. Other number changes: Seymour to 29 J. Williams to 31
  12. I don't love the idea of tagging a guy for 2 years; the tag often leads to lower participation in offseason work, which can lead to injury and/or lack of production, which is a bad investment for $14M guaranteed.
  13. I think Williams is above average, but IMO he's not in the same league as Mebane and Snax. I agree, however, that their LBs are a weak point
  14. Am I the only person that sees a HUGE mismatch in the Bills' rushing offense vs the Ravens' run D?
  15. Yes yes 1,000 times yes
  16. That's not the standard Patriots' excuse model. The standard is: 1) he didn't do it 2) IF he did it (but he didn't), then it didn't give him any kind of competitive advantage 3) IF he did it (but he didn't), AND IF it gave him a competitive advantage (but it didn't), then everyone else is doing it too
  17. I actually found the exact opposite to be true. Manny was miscast as a Sam in Schwartz's D, which is why he didn't play as much. In Rex's D, he could play his ideal role, so he was effective (not great, but passable) You have very low standards for "outstanding" and "terrific" if Manny fits those descriptions.
  18. That's a Major League reference, isn't it?
  19. I think Rob's case is very intriguing: he might be a great fit as a guy that simply communicates Rex's system to the players, but was totally miscast as a guy that had the helm of an entire defensive unit. Personally, I don't think that it's a coincidence that the communication has been so much better on the field with Rob (and Ed Reed) in the fold.
  20. He's been practicing, so it would surprise me if he didn't. I think the starting DL will be Worthy-Bryant-Williams
  21. The ONLY benefit I can think of is that they can roll the cap space forward to next year since he's not on the Week 1 roster.
  22. I have no doubt that he is...when guys get caught, they're always upset
  23. Oddly enough, Manny's best game last year was the 2nd NE game. He was a major part of shutting down Gronk that game.
  24. Unless they had a wink-nod agreement in place...who knows at this point? I agree that it leaves them woefully thin at the EDGE spot.
  25. I think vets get cut now because unused cap space as of week 1 can be rolled over to next season.
