  1. No offense intended here: you need to watch the All-22's if you think that. Just one example--watch him blanket the slippery Tavon Austin from the slot, and sustain his coverage for 7 full seconds: https://twitter.com/cover1eturner/status/785826015834550272 Keep in mind that Austin is a WR that runs a 4.34 sec 40, and had a 4.01 second 20-yard shuttle (the latter is better than all but 14 other receivers since 2010). He's very, very good. Call him inconsistent or pick on his ball awareness if you're so inclined, but to say he's overrated is simple folly IMO.
  2. 3. For context, the Bills rank 20th in the NFL with 19.2 offensive points per game. The teams ranking behind them are: Chicago Cincinnati Tennessee NY Giants NY Jets Miami Baltimore KC Cleveland Tampa Bay Houston LA
  4. Well, we have film of Michael Vick in Chip Kelly's offense--and it was ugly. Honestly, how many wrinkles can they throw at us that our coaching staff doesn't see all the time when thinking about how to maximize Tyrod's abilities? Rush wide, play zone coverage, and keep a spy in the short zones.
  5. Enjoy his blasting of Aaron Donald: https://twitter.com/cover1eturner/status/785618505521434624
  6. He's going to get booed; he plays for the other team. And by the way, just as he's free to kneel during the national anthem, fans are free to boo him for believing that he's misguided by doing so. If you want to discuss the finer points of the topic, head on over to PPP; there's a massive thread there.
  7. Oh no worries--just giving it right back is all
  8. They'll adjust it. Often times these things don't get added until later in the week.
  9. I didn't say I heard it from him directly; I said it was either a direct quote from him or an analyst quoting him. I didn't have time to Google around; relax. EDIT: Here's the quote... http://nep.247sports.com/Bolt/Damien-Woody-recalls-what-its-like-to-play-under-Bill-Belichick-45627062 Coach Belichick would always say, ‘More teams lose games than they do win games, and if we can prevent ourselves from losing, we’ll be successful.’”
  10. I thought that particular athlete was born a hermaphrodite?
  11. Don't have a link; heard it either from him or from someone quoting him. It's totally true too
  12. As Belichick says: 90 percent of games in the NFL are lost, not won. The Rams lost. We didn't. 3-2; on to SF.
  13. I want to hear from Yeezus
  14. Yep. And can you believe that they had the audacity to make the FG at the end?
  15. Well, if it were the last bastion, wouldn't that have been the only point I made? You don't seem to understand the irony of saying that someone lives in their mom's basement when you can't even write a cogent sentence Also, I don't think that stuttering one's way through a half-baked "he sucks!!1!!" rant qualifies as "destroying" someone's argument, but hey, that's just me. No worries though; from the get go I figured that there wouldn't be any reasoned discussion.
  16. I don't disagree with any of that--I took exception to the characterization of him as a guy that hasn't earned his money.
  17. 1st--is this English? If you're going to use the "mom's basement" diss, it might be prudent to use language that doesn't reek of someone that failed freshman English 2nd--show me where I defended anything other than his performance, which was clearly worthy of the contract he received.
  18. Cute little comment at the end there--stick to whatever it is that you do during the day; guessing strangers' lifestyles is CLEARLY not your strength Quick lesson in how contracts work: you get paid based on performance (past and future expectations). He made two pro bowls and got paid like the premium talent he is. His suspension this season is a blemish. It's hardly the story of his career as you seem to want to label it.
  19. Right. His work in 4 seasons prior to that is equivalent to playing video games. Do you watch this sport or just sound off in anger?
  20. At some point, either the IOC or some other sports organization is bound to get sued over the issue of transgender athletes. Some biological male will say he's trans and want to compete against biological females. The organization in question will tell the athlete that they cannot, citing biological advantages. A lawsuit will ensue, and the Court Supreme will end up having to make a call on the issue.
  21. First, I'm not trying to argue anything; I'm offering context. You might consider that finishing 22nd in receiving yards despite being 36th in targets is significant. Compare it to a guy like Jarvis Landry, for instance--who finished 13th in yards despite being 4th in targets--and it tells a story. With regard to catch rate, they also didn't get around to mentioning Odell Beckham, DeAndre Hopkins, Demaryuis Thomas, Allen Robinson, Calvin Johnson, Mike Evans, Emmanuel Sanders, or a dozen other guys whose catch rates were lower than Sammy's. I'm sure you'd agree that there are at least 2 or 3 elite names I've mentioned here with lower YPT and catch rates than Sammy. Again: the purpose here is context, not to overly laud or marginalize anyone's numbers. So we're left to wonder what the difference is between the first 7 games (of which he missed 3 entire games and the majority of 2 others) and the final 9 games, right? I'll answer that for you: the difference is targets. He averaged over 7 targets per game for the final 9 games of the season; he averaged fewer than 5 for the first 7. The issue here is opportunity; number of targets. We can discuss the reason(s) for that, but I think the majority of us would agree that it comes down to 3 things: availability, run/pass ratio, and a limited QB. I'm open to hearing arguments that bring up other issues; I just haven't been presented one that is supported by facts up to this point.
  22. Mahomes is clearly the most talented IMO. He's got the same questions coming out that most of the "new breed" college QBs have: Can he go through a progression? Can he be consistent on the mid-range throws? Can he develop pocket presence? He's done a nice job of re-pointing his release this season, which Blokes pointed out probably has a lot to do with him quitting baseball to focus on football. I haven't done any deep dives on the QBs yet (probably won't until December), but he's been the guy that's most interesting to me going back to about a year ago...of course, who knows how well that'll hold up once we really get into the process.
  23. Here are some breakdowns that actually compare WRs based on context and not raw numbers: http://fantasyguru.com/football/subscribers/articles/2015wrcatchypt.php http://www.footballperspective.com/guest-post-adam-harstad-on-sammy-watkins/ http://nysportsbiz.com/2016/01/04/sammy-watkins-arguably-nfls-top-wr-2nd-half-season/ http://www.thebackyardbanter.com/reception-perception-only-one-concern-can-hold-sammy-watkins-back-from-his-ceiling.html It's also important to consider that (a) the Bills throw the ball less than pretty much every other team, and (b) Watkins' target percentage is significantly lower than the other #1 WRs in the NFL: http://www.nfl.com/fantasyfootball/story/0ap3000000693785/article/wide-receiver-target-distribution-for-all-32-teams It's an issue of opportunities, not an issue of productivity. Some of that is due to injuries, and some is due to a system that calls for very few pass plays, and a QB that is limited in what he can do.
  24. From a cap perspective, this isn't an option. From a player personnel perspective, I believe this team needs more premier talents, not fewer.
