  1. I have this figured out. Josh learns 3 chords on the guitar, dons a cowboy hat and signs a lucrative recording contract with Pegula Sports and Entertainment. Who cares that he probably sings like he drew the Bills' logo. Sort of like Brady's sham sports massage business. All is good.
  2. I was channel surfing but managed to catch those same highlights multiple times. I thought it was random bad timing.
  3. Singletary run out of bounds? IF so, it should stop at 5 minutes or less?
  4. All he lacks is the player pedigree of an elite QB and pedigree is not a tool.
  5. Maybe how far an either unblocked (or blocked defender) was away from the QB at the time of the throw?
  6. Adjectives matter. Josh has a (poor, fair, good, great) chance to be a (replacement level, mid level, long term, elite level) starter in the league.
  7. Cover1 boys did a nice breakdown of this on the All 22 and it might make you feel better about it. Josh looked to Beasley a little to long all the while Brown was uncovered. Josh avoided a sack and found Brown a tad late but the throw was on target and the DB got in recovery mode and managed to get there in time. It would have been an easy TD for Brown. Cover1 Josh Allen vs. Jets Game, Week 1 The play is at around the 38 minute mark.
  8. I was going to suggest that they had them in the food court at the tunnel end, but I wasn't totally sure. Your'e link to the guide proved that to be correct.
  9. No alcohol allowed in the family section makes for a different game experience. My mother and aunt really enjoyed their seats in section 227. That's corner endzone Bills side, tunnel end, club level. This section is in the shade which mattered last year as it was in the high 80's and sunny when they played the Chargers (rare conditions, I know.) On the opposite side of the stadium the seats were more empty because it was too uncomfortable. My Aunt has a bad knee and she could not have sat in any section that has continuous standing during the game.
  10. ECC has the same port-a-potties that the Bills' lots have. It's just that some of the folks that untertake the walk decide that they can't wait to make it to the stadium or maybe the idea of urinating in semi public underbrush appeals to them.
  11. I saw some tracking of 5 pbu's by front 7 defenders. I counted 6 as the game progressed so either I miscounted or the one batted ball that ended up being caught by a Jets o-lineman for a loss was not counted. It would make sense. It can't be a pbu if a catch was made by an offensive player. I would bet that over Josh's short career, he has had a less than average amount of tipped/batted passes due to being tall, having a quick release, his depth of target and escaping the pocket so often. So, I agree with the OP that it would be an interesting stat to track.
  12. The Reader's Digest verision is that being an up and coming team is different than being one with high expectations. When you are the plucky underdog, being a good team mate is pretty easy. Once success comes and expectations rise so does a host of potentially negative tendencies. Egos, pointing fingers, jealousy over the media coverage, who gets paid, who gets blamed when the team falls short, etc. I can't really imagine those teams combined with the age of social media.
  13. It's tough to have it both ways. The penchant for "coach speak" after a tough loss is somewhat universally detested. I heard that criticism of Flores' comments about how they all have to be better and it's on all of them, etc. Then a coach speaks frankly about his team's shortcomings and he can criticized for that too. He could throw in a blunder or two that was on him to make it seem like he was being real.
  14. Next up is MNF in Cleveland. One of those two teams is headed for an 0 and 2 media circus.
  15. Ok. I found the perfect GIF for the look-a-like thread but it came in at the end so it was tree falling in the forest. So, I submit this again.
  16. Laramie and Cheyenne await the news.
  17. Comments from a writer slanted toward Fantasy Football should not be the same as those of graders who actually watch the plays but I suspect those will not be flattering either. As for me, I am ok with how he played for most of the nearly 70 plays he ran.
  18. The first half turnovers were not evidence of bad QB play to me. The strip/sack/fumble was the result of a whiff by Dawkins and Josh deciding to protect himself/the ball with a stiff arm. That is instinctual, he has an effective one and has probably thinking stiff arm, pivot and escape but usng his free hand to cover the ball when he is not on the move and so vulnerable would be the better play. When going late to an underneath receiver on a hook route, a low throw is usually a safer option to get 5 yards and protects the receiver from a big hit. The ball getting tipped up instead of down is not a normal outcome. The bad snap exchange looks bad as a 4th down play, it was no different than a failed sneak. Fumble or turnover on downs is not of much consequence other than the ugly factor. It looked like Morse was going to have trouble with Q. Williams anyhow. The one tipped pass which resulted in an int is the only time Josh seemed confused after the play but the TV shot of him staring off with a dazed look was actually him looking for the replay on the Jumbotron to see why the play failed. I think the Bills D tipped 6 passes but w/o an int. They were credited with 5 pbu's but one of the tips was completed to an o-lineman which maybe means it can't be credited as a pbu. Over the years I have come to believe that what happens after a tipped ball is totally random. So that was one tipped ball by the Jets converted to an int and six by the Bills but with no turnover. That all seems rather random to me. So, at halftime, my comments on the first half were that despite the somewhat disastrous plays, the score was not a disaster, the Bills looked like the better team and that they had a good chance in the second half.
  19. CBS did not give good coverage on the play but I think the Feliciano false start was on Morse. It looked like Josh wanted the ball and the rest of the offense was ready to go but Morse forgot the snap count. The penalty on Philips was not covered well either but he was likely tripped or pushed into a stumbling, low hit.
  20. Fixing the o-line was priority #1A for Beane. It looked fixed. Nice pocket most plays, some nasty finishes, athletic movement on outside runs. The whiff by Dawkins may have been because he was gassed by the pace and number of plays. That is a thing for 300+ lb. players. The penalties were nearly nonexistant. The Jets o-line did not give Darnold the same benefit and it showed.
  21. Depends on what your plan for having fun is and how fast you need to exit. For instance, ECC lots have lots of green space in surrounding areas that can be used for fun and games. Parking is $25 there. The further away you are willing to be, the cheaper the price and the quicker the exit. The New Era Field House is great for pregame activities and is underutilized, imo. It's free to enter and offers plenty to do. There are usually many kid friendly activities, free group photos and Bills alumni brought in to sign autographs. I park at Bert's Bikes on Southwestern Drive for $15 and the walk through the ECC lots to my seat is about 3/4 of a mile. There is a traffic light there and I can easily head south from there. If you want to tailgate before and after then all options are ok. If you are headed north and are in a hurry you need to listen to someone else's advice.
  22. Here's rookie P Mitch Wishnowsky showing some upside. He had an RAS of 10.00: Athletic Upside from Punter
  23. There is a big difference from punting inside your own 20 versus punting near midfield. I'd need to see the advance metrics for NFL punters and I doubt they exist. The goal in those situations is very different. Trying to flip the field vs. avoiding a touchback while trying to pin them near the goal line . A shanked kick looks bad but they rarely get returned so they don't necessarily hurt as much as a long kick with poor hangtime down the middle of the field. Also, I'd like to know about how good of an athlete they might be. When disaster strikes can they make a tackle, retrieve a poor snap and get the punt off or run for a first down? Do they have a variety of kick options for different weather or game situations? Corey might have some upside that we have yet to see. I hope so.
  24. I would think that the WR position is even less likely to move. Not only do teams value their guys, they would value their guys that know their playbook and WR have more to learn. I doubt a PS WR gets any reps during the week in the 11/11 time running the plays in their teams' gameplan.
