  1. Can't believe Vrabel gave the ok a chance to miss another.
  2. I do not want to research or rewatch it but 3 things you failed to mention that are part of my thinking. 1) The Bills had a makeshift OL. Maybe 3 spots with a different starter? It was a gritty road performance by an underdog in a tough situation. 2) RJ did not shine under those conditions but the final drive was a big moment for him up until he lost his shoe. 3) Wade panicked at the end. It was 1st down when he sent Christie out there !!!!! What coach does that and leaves time on the clock? Credit to your 35 year old self for challenging what your 15 year old self thought. It's a great exercise but my 57 year old self is not ready to rethink that game yet.
  3. I do not buy them for that reason. The Not For Long reality is that they expect you to fork over extra cash for the right to wear soon to be irrelevant apparel and I don't like the concept. Kudos to the fan I saw with the duct tape over the obsolete name plate with the new name repping the number written on it with a sharpie.
  4. Not sure what you mean. Are you saying that it is definitely not Bourbon St. so my memory might be an alcohol induced aberration? Hmmmm.
  5. Yeah and there was a video that went with the comment. That was the T-rex thing I mentioned. Just ran 1 route in a 50 sec clip of a WR drill but HC McD was playing the db and I thought Duke stood out there too.
  6. There was a short video of HC McD working with the WR group this week (which I can't find now.) One by one a player would enter the picture and run an out route to the sideline. Then Duke entered the picture. I know he's not huge at 6'3", 228lbs but it was almost like a Jurassic Park movie when you are watching the velociraptors running around and the T-Rex suddenly shows up. He definitely has a body type that was missing in the WR group. He was also the only one to make the catch, quickly stop and turn up the sideline. Since McD was lined up playing defender, I wondered at the time if these things made any impression on him.
  7. You see someone who's young and talented and you see them screw up because they do not know what they do not know. And it's not that they are bad or are fundamentally flawed as human beings. They just don't know how the world works yet and what might actually be on the line in a particular moment. And what they don't know is that their talent and effort doesn't guarantee them limitless opportunities. So, enter Duke Williams, who has by all accounts done everything he could do in the CFL and this off season to earn another shot at the NFL and I, like many others, can't help but want to see him succeed. We know it will mean more to him and those closest to him than most others because when you think you have squandered your last, best chance, it may seem like another may never come. Hell yeah we think he'll fight for the ball or give maximum effort to make an impactful block or tackle. It's American mythology. The Roy Hobbs story of redemption. If he does anything tomorrow to help them, win or lose, it will not go unnoticed.
  8. Ok. PFT says the video is Jay but it's a year old. I thought it looked like Bourbon St. and a Google search revealed that the Saints beat the Snyder team, 43-19 on 10/8/18. Hmmm.
  9. Some report popped up on my phone of a viral video of Jay behaving poorly in a public setting. I don't know if it is legit but I got the thought that if it were coach McD, that would be news to rock our world.
  10. I think a collapsing pocket is a dangerous place too. At least when he runs he can be aware of where the threats are and react accordingly. The difference here is that he was taking the hit to make a 1st down, which he thought his team needed. Tyrod got injured against the Titans for much the same reason. A legit hit to his torso probably does not drop in his tracks like the helmet to helmet one did. Orton did not get hurt against the Broncos. Orton Makes a Good Business Decision I wonder how these 3 situations played in the locker room.
  11. Balls on target in tight windows. Took them down the field with no time out. The pick was a bad drop by Everett.
  12. Great game. The Rams deserved the win, imo. The most impressive I've seen Goff look.
  13. I think the white gloves help with the call.
  14. I had to do a search on a "dirty martini" and have to admit that it is not what I was hoping it might be.
  15. Contact was not near the knee or below.
  16. Wow that is some heavy expertise. Now my brain hurts.
  17. If the limitation is no contact and contact is never part of a QB's practice anyways, then what is the restriction? I suspect he's a full participant with a meaningless restriction.
  18. Less than Matt or might they do 50/50 and run some extra plays during team?
  19. The Exorcist pea soup variety?
  20. One Bills Live ran a poll about fan preferences for Sunday. A fully prepared Barkley, a less prepared Allen or it doesn't matter because the defense will win it. From what I read about stage 4, the only restriction for practice is no contact. So if Josh is cleared to play, why should he be less prepared? There shouldn't be contact on the QB for any part of practice, stage 4 or not.
  21. Ok, maybe it's been adressed but what restrictions in stage 4 prevent full practice for a QB? Everything I read said no contact and there is no need for contact on the QB in any practice setting, ever. This would not be true for any positions other than kickers. So, what's to prevent Josh from doing 7 on 7 or team? There is no contact allowed on the QB then anyways.
  22. Seriously. Brett Favre had a big problem with prescription pain killers and I always wondered if those doing the illegal kind were better off. Such a brutal game that they need some sort of plan on dealing with the pain that comes with it. I doubt the game has evolved much in that regard since the era of North Dallas 40.
