  1. I think both Josh and Dawson thought they had all the time and space they needed to make an easy pitch and catch. The defender came flying into the play and just got there in time to get the pbu.
  2. For those not familiar with HS football in the 716, he was the Connolly Cup winner in 2014.
  3. Schobert has flashed these last 2 games me thinks.
  4. If Singletary has much of an NFL career I think he'll have a game similar to Kareem Hunt.
  5. Great. UB and Sabres both lose in OT and somehow the Steelers will pull this out and I can be 0 for 3.
  6. The play last year where he dragged Melvin Ingram for 15 or 20 ft or so stands out. Don't think I'd ever seen a QB do that before but that's a very poor position to be in to make a throw down the field but still physically impressive.
  7. For sure. I think he is in the process of learning what he should not attempt to do.
  8. The number of times where Josh did that but ended the play with a pick is approaching double digits. He hates to give up on a play.
  9. He was so under utilized at Ole Miss that there is no way he could be even close to a finished ball catcher as a rookie. He has done well so far, imo, and will do more. If the offense makes a late season surge, he'll be part of the reason. He showed well against the Browns. Two balls he did not come up with were part on Josh and part on his not having his big body in quite the right position. He is learning fast and will be a tough matchup going forward.
  10. I have yet to rewatch it because there is only so much wallowing in the losing effort muck I can take but there were two Singletary plays on the last drive that seemed like he had a chance to do much more. The tipped ball on the screen pass that he luckily did not catch was botched because of him, imo. When he released into the pattern he did a flyby on the outside rusher instead of making a good attempt at a chip and then a roll into his route. That was the defender that barely got there in time to tip that pass. My impression was that there was lots of open space with blockers on the way. On the 6 yard play where he did not get out-of-bounds I was expecting to see to see him make a stop in a phone booth, shake the defender who had the angle on him, head upfield and then get out-of-bounds. Both those plays had some big potential. When the Cover1 stuff comes out maybe there will be a better look to confirm it.
  11. Both kicks looked like mishits to me compared to the Xpts he made going the same direction. Sort of like my tee shots, it's tough to know anything else about the attempt when the ball is struck poorly.
  12. I remembered that happening but I did not think it was that early in the 2018 season. I thought maybe it was the Lions game.
  13. Rivers looking helpless against pressure. Almost Bledsoe-like.
  14. WGR, One Bills Drive ran a poll last week about the "scariest" scenario for the Bills in the second half of the season. There was a choice about the run D, another about injuries and another that I can't remember. But, I voted for the option that said that the Bills passing offense failed to improve. If you believed as many did that 2019 is AAA, All About Allen, then to enter the 2020 offseason with widespread, legitimate doubt about his status within the organization sends them into the Trubusky/Mariota zone and that's a scarey place to be.
  15. I take every chance to say that Josh is getting very good at being Josh Allen-Bills QB. He understands his unique situation and wants to use the power it gives him to do good for others as do many other players. I also want to make the point that Josh is the same person whether he succeeds as "Buffalo Bills Franchise QB" or not. There is a tendency by some to rip players that have left this team with some degree of failure attached to their time here. It does not need to be that way and I think we as fans should separate the football player from the human being and not let our feelings about the former affect how we treat the latter.
  16. The other difference is that the box score numbers have no context and I would say that the context always matters.
  17. Given all their offensive challenges, their RedZone performance is not an accident. Daboll has to be doing something right.
  18. I saw it that way too. When you're so cool that words become unnecessary.
  19. Winning an offensive shootout is the box not yet checked. I think it will come on Thanksiving, Romo and Nance will be gushing like when they beat the Vikes last year and the lack of national respect we've been discussing will start to die.
  20. I think the Bills will be really excited to play that game. Way more than Dallas will be. Weather won't be a factor, the Dallas offense is good enough to mean the Bills will have to score more points and the Romo/Nance, Thanksgiving national audience will all combine to bring out the best in the Bills offense.
  21. Three o-lineman in front with no one there to block initially. Then they look for work and Feliciano finds his about 50 yards down field. They will have fun watching that one when they do their video review today.
  22. Yeldon vs Bengals. But I was talking about 5 lost of his 16 career. 16 may be concerning but with 11 recovered it doesn't seem like a big story to me.
  23. Based on what it would mean to the offense to establish viable deep threats to the passing game I'll go with Foster. I would not cite ball tracking on a blustery day or while looking into the sun as concerns.
  24. Win the game and show signs that the offense is ascending.
