  1. Process has a point in a "glass half empty" kind of way. But why do some go to the trouble to travel to away games? That takes $$$ and effort but it's a blast to win on enemy turf and the team is on record as saying they appreciate the support. Why stay till the end and work their way to the lower bowl as the team exits the field to salute their team and thank them for their winning effort? Why cheer anything they do no matter where you are or what the circumstance? It's not like any nice play within the context of a game is a truly notable accomplishment. But we do those things because it shows the team that what they do matters to us. To make a special effort to express that should carry more weight.
  2. 40 years ago this would happen at Prior Aviation but in the post 9/11 world this may not be doable anymore. If there is any official word on this from the Bills or BNIA post here asap.
  3. Now that is some super sluething!
  4. Would a charter have a number like that?
  5. Lou still live in the area? He did color for UB games years back.
  6. Ha ha. All is good today. Chuck Knox era Bills won some big road games where this became a thing. I remember a big one vs the Air Coryell Chargers.
  7. Not legit? Damn.
  8. Ok. Is this legit? Kay Adams on TBD replying to my post? Best Thanksgiving ever!
  9. Ok internet super slueths. Track the flight and give us the ETA. See if there is a policy in place to let it happen in 2019.
  10. You must be young.
  11. An old tradition from the Knox era to greet the team at the airport after a big road win. In the TSA era is this still possible? This team effort deserves it.
  12. This might be a greet the team at the airport kind of game. Big efforts all over the first half. Seems they want it way more.
  13. Really thought kicking in a dome would suit him. He can't kick it straight.
  14. We all have reasons to be thankful, JK says to choose to be so.
  15. Perfect weather conditions to help it happen.
  16. Seems even windier at field level than for the last two.
  17. I recall 2 near strip sacks where he managed to throw the the ball away while taking the hit. Borderline intentional grounding or worse plays.
  18. Flyover tomorrow is 4 A-10s from a Maryland Natonal Guard squadron. I love those pregame flyovers and how they shake the very ground. Braveheart reference. I do not recall seeing one by A-10s before. Maybe a good sign for Josh Allen to Cole Beasley connections.?
  19. For the record, the Bills have stated that the gator roll technique is what they teach to bring the QB down without landing on him with full body weight and drawing the personal foul. Again, how would Garrett know the ball was out? The ball is released almost behind his head.
  20. Looks like we do agree. I said that the tackle was late but the contact was not. Garrett had him wrapped and then gator rolled to bring him down. How exactly would he know the ball was out? His eyes were inches from Rudolph when the throw was made. The throw was made out of his field of vision and there would be no whistle to stop the play in that situation. That was more of a takedown than a throw or a tackle. Phrases used by others like "drove him into the ground" or "landed on him" do not fit what that video shows.
  21. I disagree with that narrative. The throw was made with Garrett within a step. He was so close, within inches actually, that Rudolph could only make a push of a throw. There is no way that a defender in that position can know if the ball was out unless he can see out his ear hole. He did wrap and then take him down late with a gator roll but, again, the defender could not know if the ball was actually delivered. That's the way to take a QB down without landing on him with his full weight which would be a penalty. Garrett hits the ground first and Rudolph lands on top of him and then is rolled to the side. They are then face to face. Rudolph has played an awful game, just gotten rag dolled to the ground and takes exception to it and for some reason attempts to remove Garrett's helmet. Mayhem results. I'll bet the Bills defenders have problems with Rudolph too. He seems like that kind of player.
  22. There are many examples of the Bobby Knight and Woody Hayes variety of coach that didn't know when to dial it down. I think there is a place where an ultracompetitve person needs to draw the line between their ego and their interactions with others. It's tough to be a champion and know when not to be a jerk. Some do that well and others will never figure it out.
