  1. BN on Bojorquez. Maybe not as bad as we think or maybe there is not a comprehensive measure of how well punters perform although there have been recent attempts that are attempting to do that. The first search beat the paywall although now it won't. Mark Gaughn article from February that made a case that he was effective by maxing fair catches and limiting returns.
  2. If Rivers can't play for Reich/Sirianni behind the best OL in the league then he is done.
  3. Trent could have a restructure deal on the table with less cap hit and more guaranteed like Kroft. It could be up in the air pending an answer.
  4. Here are Mike Clay's rankings. Not directly comparable but qualitatively so. No improvement for Josh, very low IDL, the WR group is way down from where he had them in the spring, 9 projected wins, an overall team ranking of 19. I don't know if she's the worst but I like hers more as a Bills fan. She's saying somewhere in the top 10 and he's saying bottom half.
  5. Me too. I think that is high based on last year but maybe she is projecting a big improvement based on the continuity they have among that group and the offensive coaching staff in general.
  6. Here are all of them. QB.......15 RB.......13 WR......05 OL.......05 DL.......07 LB.......12 CB.......02 S.........02
  7. Good point. I did not remember it being done and it turns out that she did not include them as a position group.
  8. Here's the entire video of all position groups. It's 18+ minutes but is very favorable to the Bills. All position groups for all 32 teams ranked.
  9. I saw a YT video of all position groups as ranked by Frelund. She had Bills QBs at 15 which is fair, imo. That was the worst position rank for the entire team. Amazing Grand Master Wizardry by Beane putting this roster together and by McD and staff making a team of it. They could be something special.
  10. The only thing worse than 4 preseason games is 0 preseason games. It's sort of like going to a movie theater to watch a well made comedy. The movie is funnier if you can share that emotion with a multitude of fellow movie goers. There is no emotional connection to the preseason with the way this was handled and the Bills Manhatten Project type secrecy has not helped. I hope that once the games start that changes but it seems more than likely it will be just another example of where nothing can be fully enjoyed, if it can be enjoyed at all.
  11. Looking at the standard NFL passer rating measure, Josh was a strong performer in RZ, 4th quarter, 3rd and 10+ and road games. The numbers are 94.2, 109.7, 108.2 and 92.6, respectively. This totally ignores what he adds as a runner, which we know is elite. I think it's odd to say that he wasn't helping them win.
  12. I thought the same thing. Nothing like spiking the ball at the 5 yard line for being a bad look.
  13. Without seeing any video to form my own opinion, I will say this. We want Josh to throw "with anticipation," "before the break," or "the receiver open." Say it anyway you want but any disruption in the route, usually at the break, will make the QB look very bad. One drop, one throw away on a protection failure and two where the intended receiver stumbled adds up to some bad looks. It may all be the difference between playing the #1 defense vs. the #2.
  14. Three of those targets were not anywhere near him. A tipped ball landing at his feet, one out-of-bounds and a messed up 3rd and long play at the end. He had another nice reception called pack on a holding penalty by Kroft, maybe? I'd give the DBs a pbu in both cases and am of the opinion that they therefore can't be a "drop" as many refer to them. I think he might be shelved on the PS again but maybe he gets claimed by some WR needy team. The Jets would make some sense.
  15. He did a good job of moving the show along. Steve would ramble/stumble through a thought or sentence and Chris would fill in the blanks. I think Tasker got him in trouble by probing for info. Ask him a Bills question and if he knows the answer he provides an answer. He has done that for decades. Oops. Chris has a good voice and expresses his thoughts clearly and I liked the show more with him hosting than with anyone else they have had, including Murphy. He does his rant thing very well. I think they had to make an example of him as a warning to everyone else that covers the team. Yes, someone at One Bills Drive takes the media rules seriously to the point where they will enforce them on One Bills Live content. It was weird that nothing was said officially on-the-air about his status. I'd have had Chris Brown make the announcement himself. "I knew the rules but got carried away in the moment and now I have to serve a one week suspension. My bad. Be back next Monday." Something like that.
  16. Nate was a big CB but at 2 or 3 inches shorter and 15 lbs. Iighter I don't think he is all that close to Allen. Big Nickel? Special athleticism and size, maybe these coaches can get the best from him. He seems worthy of a spot on the PS at least.
  17. Eagles should be in the market.
  18. Off hand, I can't recall the Bills ever having a CB that big on a roster. 6'2" and 215 is a big CB.
  19. IIRC, he had many inside the 20 but just barely. Not so many inside the 10 or better. Hang time was really good and the rate of returns was pretty low. Just not a consistent, directional kicker. Maybe he gets better. Agreed, I don't think Mckenzie should ever be trusted as a returner again and he was so bad at it in Denver that it got him waived. The Josh Norman thing should be pretty easy for them to scout. Just overlay the videos of him in coverage and see if he has lost anything or if it was all on how the WFT wanted him to play it. The Bills should be in a good position to be right about him.
  20. I don't know the number but I think it was more than once where Josh scored the TD after they tried numerous times with Gore and failed. Moss gets those carries I think, less Josh TDs and more Moss. Singletary not likely to be the first or second choice down close, imo.
  21. Hopefully Bass gets the chance to figure things out before needing to kick one that really matters. Almost any other position allows a young player to develop their skills. Not much tolerance for a kicker that costs his team wins.
  22. Missed this. You beat me to it. Although the 'roo attacking the golfer beats us both. ☺️
  23. Maybe Bass Cache now. I could just go for "cash" but opted for a second ambiguously pronounced word just for fun.
  24. I wonder if he saw the way it was going to end and asked for his release now instead of later. He was a good Bill and I wish him well. Maybe a nice gig for a dome team.
