  1. Three of those targets were not anywhere near him. A tipped ball landing at his feet, one out-of-bounds and a messed up 3rd and long play at the end. He had another nice reception called pack on a holding penalty by Kroft, maybe? I'd give the DBs a pbu in both cases and am of the opinion that they therefore can't be a "drop" as many refer to them. I think he might be shelved on the PS again but maybe he gets claimed by some WR needy team. The Jets would make some sense.
  2. He did a good job of moving the show along. Steve would ramble/stumble through a thought or sentence and Chris would fill in the blanks. I think Tasker got him in trouble by probing for info. Ask him a Bills question and if he knows the answer he provides an answer. He has done that for decades. Oops. Chris has a good voice and expresses his thoughts clearly and I liked the show more with him hosting than with anyone else they have had, including Murphy. He does his rant thing very well. I think they had to make an example of him as a warning to everyone else that covers the team. Yes, someone at One Bills Drive takes the media rules seriously to the point where they will enforce them on One Bills Live content. It was weird that nothing was said officially on-the-air about his status. I'd have had Chris Brown make the announcement himself. "I knew the rules but got carried away in the moment and now I have to serve a one week suspension. My bad. Be back next Monday." Something like that.
  3. Nate was a big CB but at 2 or 3 inches shorter and 15 lbs. Iighter I don't think he is all that close to Allen. Big Nickel? Special athleticism and size, maybe these coaches can get the best from him. He seems worthy of a spot on the PS at least.
  4. Eagles should be in the market.
  5. Off hand, I can't recall the Bills ever having a CB that big on a roster. 6'2" and 215 is a big CB.
  6. IIRC, he had many inside the 20 but just barely. Not so many inside the 10 or better. Hang time was really good and the rate of returns was pretty low. Just not a consistent, directional kicker. Maybe he gets better. Agreed, I don't think Mckenzie should ever be trusted as a returner again and he was so bad at it in Denver that it got him waived. The Josh Norman thing should be pretty easy for them to scout. Just overlay the videos of him in coverage and see if he has lost anything or if it was all on how the WFT wanted him to play it. The Bills should be in a good position to be right about him.
  7. I don't know the number but I think it was more than once where Josh scored the TD after they tried numerous times with Gore and failed. Moss gets those carries I think, less Josh TDs and more Moss. Singletary not likely to be the first or second choice down close, imo.
  8. Hopefully Bass gets the chance to figure things out before needing to kick one that really matters. Almost any other position allows a young player to develop their skills. Not much tolerance for a kicker that costs his team wins.
  9. Missed this. You beat me to it. Although the 'roo attacking the golfer beats us both. ☺️
  10. Maybe Bass Cache now. I could just go for "cash" but opted for a second ambiguously pronounced word just for fun.
  11. I wonder if he saw the way it was going to end and asked for his release now instead of later. He was a good Bill and I wish him well. Maybe a nice gig for a dome team.
  12. They are making an example of him as a message to the rest of the media. Pretty silly really. Cody Ford working both positions on the right side is news? I think he got caught up doing a live report like he has done for over two decades.and had no one there besides Tasker to restrain him. Instead Steve was probing for more info. The Cleveland Browns have been live streaming and they do not show any view of their formations outside the tackles. Seems reasonable. As for Chris Brown I think he does his job well but slipped by not checking himself during a live segment. He reflexively did did what his training and experience had conditioned him to do. He was making the show better, imo.
  13. A fair question would be what is fair compensation for a decent, do-it-all RB on a 2nd contract when they are part of a tandem? Some say don't even bother while others might say yes but for less guaranteed and fewer years. All other positions are cashing in including average, rotational DL.
  14. Four players are designated on Tuesday which lasts until game day. After the game there would be approximately 48 hours when all 16 are subject to being claimed and put on some other team's active roster.
  15. I have been paying attention to the Browns in their camp due to TE Stephen Carlson and Kevin Johnson has been a camp standout. Tough break for him.
  16. They give stuff away every game. A nicely designed mask would be worn many places elsewhere in the community so some sponsor gets plenty of exposure. Giving them out is then no excuses for not wearing one.
  17. Yes. Use every other row. Odd ones in one section and even ones in the adjacent ones. Skip the two seats nearest the aisle. Food and beverage consumed only at one's seat. Seats belonging to one season ticket account can be clustered as a social cohort. No or limited alcohol sales in the stadium. Willful failure to comply puts season ticket accounts at risk. No ticket exchange resales so don't try to win the right to attend with no intention of doing so. Masks handed out at the gates to people in line prior to entry. Fewer lines but they are longer and spaced out. I think it can be done.
  18. He was inducted on 9/29. When he attempted to defend Ralph, he got booed too. I remember him saying something like "I don't understand the booing, if it wasn't for him there wouldn't be a team here." He died less than 4 months later.
  19. Ok, I'll answer. Cam had 4 seasons of his nearly 8 full seasons that looked much the same as Josh in 2019. Two before his MVP season and two after. Josh is ascending (maybe) and Cam is healthy (maybe) so 2020 projections for them seem like a draw to me. Most copied from Pro Football Reference. 20. Season ticket holders will be the majority of whatever crowd is there. I like to think that we are more inclined to follow the rules.
  21. That year and '85 were the low point of the franchise, imo. Pat McGroder's W-o-F ceremony where Ralph was booed by a sparse, socially distanced, angry crowd and Pat tried to defend him was the emotional bottom.
  22. What if Barkley is like Frank? Give him a gameplan, a full week of practice and the first team offensive talent and he can get a win for his team. He is 1 for 1 in that scenario. That win against the Jets I in 2018 was way beyond my expectations .
  23. Gunner, I think you are thinking too much like a scout and not enough like a person in charge of constructing a team. That's the value of a Frank Reich type backup. He is good for QB1, is comfortable with his role because he is fully aware of his limitations and can rise to the occasion when called upon and given time to prepare. Many of these other candidates would not check those boxes. Matt might check all 3.
  24. Funny you should say it this way. Frank did not start a game until his 4th year. He never looked good in the preseason games and fans questioned having him on the roster. He lacked any elite QB traits but would eventually hold the distinction of having lead his team back from the biggest deficits in both the NCAA and NFL. His leadership was elite. In his first start he brought his team back from behind on MNF against the Rams. We came to understand how his personal faith translated to being unflappable in leading his team in a tough spot. We have seen Barkley just one time leading the first team offense with a week of game preparation. That's all he had was a week of prep. It was a tough spot and he lead the Bills offense to a blowout of the Jets. It may be true that Matt is very much like Frank but let's hope that we never get a larger sample size to get the full measure of how similar he is.
