  1. I will read it but I suspect that the "I can't admit I was wrong defense" is a phony, straw man argument that is making fun of others who seem to be truly entrenched on their chosen hill to defend. It has become some cultural sign of weakness to say that "now that I know more, I was wrong." Maybe the author is making fun of that notion by suggesting that it is not an option for him. The title implies that there is a self correction going on here.
  2. McDermott was all about "trust the process" and "creating the right culture." This was a priority seemingly above talent and X's and O's. This of course made many scoff at the notion but I give you the Bills and the Jets as exhibit A and B as to why it matters. Tre White opts in and gets extended while CJ Mosley opted out Jamal Adams wanted out. If a HC can't create positive relationships, build a strong locker room culture that the players buy into and develop young talent, that team is toast. Maybe the Jets get it right with the next hire.
  3. It's been a great OBL show. Steve with a nice Eddie Van Halen story and Chris with the Titanic outrage.
  4. This is my concern. A sloppy field is a great equalizer in terms of how it plays. Wind is even more a potential game factor. Drizzle is one thing and a downpour is quite another.
  5. I don't think there is much to separate any of these QBs 4 games in. Their teams are 4-0 and don't have that record without them. The best is yet to come.
  6. Remnants of Hurricane Delta expected to hit Tennessee some time this weekend. More 2020 mayhem.
  7. I do not see enough of the rest of the league play, but these three are winning their routes and making tough, clutch catches all over the field. All three are playing a physical game even though they are not really all that "NFL big" for their roles.
  8. That was a nice tackle. He did some of that in college too where Bass mastered his good tackling technique.
  9. Sort of the crooked road philosophy: "This much I know is trueThat God blessed the broken roadThat led me straight to youYes, He did"
  10. I only have a problem with "...recklessly flipped forward a pass that resulted in an injury." The throw got to where he intended it and had nothing to do with causing an injury. It was a late hit to his head by a defender who then landed on his torso with his full body weight to drive his shoulder into the ground.
  11. I think you were in with the winning pick first and also with the snarkiest comment as to how.
  12. The rule reads that a PS player can be elevated to the active roster 2X without having to expose him to waivers. But, the Bills promoted him to the 53 and then did waive him so maybe he is reset back to the promoted 2X rule?
  13. Yes. The engine's on and they can make it there before it leaves. Some talk of 0-16 nd the Giants might be no better.
  14. I used to think the same. But, I now think it's some version of cathartic, psycho dump that helps keep the world in balance so I'm ok with it. On a side note, just do a search for some Jets post game YouTube videos on a weekly basis. Their suffering is good therapy too.
  15. They have used Josh Allen runs to close games but weren't going to do that today after the shoulder injury.
  16. Bad sack yes but it saved Bass from another missed attempt which would really have Bills Fandom on his case and wreck his confidence. So bad = smart.
  17. Knee down ball on the line!!!!!!-
  18. Maybe Josh can show his arm on a Hail Mary. Nope.
  19. Bills tipping balls will eventually get a pick. I hope.
  20. I have not seen much good defense this year.
  21. WRs making great catches this year.
  22. They usually see how it ends not how it started.
  23. This type of question needs a context. Is it a 3 game evaluation (very small sample size) or a projection for the rest of the year? Sometimes their age and contract situation is considered and then the question becomes more of a "futures" one like "If you were a GM, rank them in order of preference for your QB1." Drew Brees and Tom Brady do not make my list.
