  1. Goff wilts under pressure.
  2. Daboll outscheming McVay will do wonders for his brand.
  3. Brian Hill with long TD run. Good day for Wyoming Cowboy alumni.
  4. No way was it to the line of scrimmage.
  5. I like the guy. Great at what he does and is a good team mate. Someone cheap shots Josh, he's most likely to respond. The penalties are the biggest minus.
  6. Eagles played a smart game last year. Moved the ball by exposing Bills tackling issues. Wentzz hurt them with screens and scrambles and they did a good job keeping Josh in the pocket. The wind today won't be as big as it was that day, though.
  7. Play it safe and record it on DVR. Watch it a bit behind the live feed. We should be good.
  8. Can such things move a betting line or action? Just asking. Stupid crazy info can influence elections.
  9. Not to my recollection. Last I heard was 16 to 20 with gusts of 30+. I have not heard an update today.
  10. Respect for elders is a top 10 priority. You should be good.
  11. I think the scoops come from player agents. They talk and do favors for media with a national following. She gets a scoop and returns the favor by saying how important they are because they can play in all situations. Win, win win for the player, agent and reporter. All get a boost to their brand.
  12. Wind makes touch passes a bad idea the further downfield they travel. Run more screens and QB runs to move the chains. Missed tackles in the 2nd level are big.
  13. I'd sign up for that but it's tough to believe that it would play out that way.
  14. I like Kim Jones. Good reporter, solid voice, easy on the eyes.
  15. "Each of these aspects of a QB’s performance is indicative of their true skill and is less affected by circumstances and luck." I have a big problem with this. Performance when under pressure and outside the pocket is more affected by circumstances and luck and performance when protection is clean is more meaningful? You brought up Brady and he would be a great example. He was throwing balls away, daring officials to make the grounding call, when he was facing pressure. Being unwilling to take a hit to make a play is luck or "circumstances?" Some of these QBs can't escape pressure and making plays on the move and outside the pocket is not even an option for them. It's a club that is not in their bag. I don't know how you can evaluate some QBs for parts of their game that do not exist for many of them. Most all NFL starting caliber QBs perform well when not pressured or else they would not have the job. So how could that be any meaningful way to evaluate their performances? This author used their ordinal ranks after only two games to to say that Josh was middle of the pack in the "meaningful" measures: clean pocket QBR, no play action, completion% over expected and poor throw % even though the clean pocket QBR is a solid 79 and the bad throw % is a stellar 16% and SIS has him 4th in on target throw %.
  16. I have not heard Chris Spielman's work since he started doing the Fox NFL games but I thought he was one of the best at color analysis when he was doing NCAA games. I was hoping he'd get the Bills' game. As for the actual game, I understand the lack of enthusiasm.
  17. I can't get to the point of criticizing a decision that lead to a 38 yard gain. That's not the world I live in. It might be as simple as Daboll making a play call and emphasizing that it should have Knox in the clear. Coaches being right and players executing it well is where we want them to be.
  18. According to Twitter he will be on OBL at 1:10. I always like listening to him and after 2 games he should have plenty to say about his students. For the record, the show has gotten better with Chris Brown as the host and I usually live stream it at work.
  19. Andy Dufresne " Remember Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies."
  20. It's game over then anyways. Playing half the 4th quarter feeling like you're within 1 score vs knowing you need two possessions to have any chance is a big deal, imo.
  21. Whatever time is left on the clock, I'd want my team playing it with the mindset that they were playing down only one possession. To go for 2 and miss it is to give your team a dose of negative energy. I'd think it to be deflating. I understand the "better to know asap" thinking but there may be a teamwide negative psychological effect associated with a two point failure and a 9 point deficit.
  22. I've said this often but I want to hammer the point. Fitz could do Romo's job better than Romo. Knows more players and coaches in the league, has played for franchises in 8 different cities, has great comedic timing (see the Fred Jackson roast) and has had to learn more football than most any other QB in history having learned so many systems and his longevity in the league says way more about his attitude than talent. He is smart enough to know that he can't always act that smart and has built up a cache of good will around the league.
