  1. The NFL passer rating is a poor measure for QBs with actual running ability that their teams rely upon. Scoring a TD or two via run does nothing to elevate the rating but sure means something to their teams chances to win. Scrambling to avoid a sack and then throwing the ball away hurts the passer rating. I hate the mystery meat of tQBR but that at least tries to incorporate everything a QB does in every game situation. I suspect those tQBR numbers would look more stable than NFL passer rating.
  2. Yes. Yes we do. Our Bills are real and they are spectacular!
  3. I got here late but I knew I would find this somewhere in the thread. This will be a GIF that will enter classic status very quickly.
  4. To all those saying Barkley its trash, I say we have seen him exactly one time with the first unit and a full week of practice. He was very good that game.
  5. Stabler underhanded it forward while under tackle and Pete Banaszak had the ball in both hands and flipped it forward where Casper kicked and batted into the endzone for the recovery TD which covered 24 yards. The officiating crew did not rule any of these as intentional which would have ended the play. Thus, I thought the rule change made as a result applied to forward fumbles only and not backwards ones too.
  6. I am old and I remember the play. That involved 2 phony forward flips of the ball to advance it toward the endzone for the TD with 10 seconds to go. I thought the rule made a distinction about the direction of the fumble. It does not.
  7. That ball was intentionally fumbled forward.
  8. I suspect officials scewed the Browns on the call. Fumbled backwards and did not hit the ground. That should be eligible for advancement, imo.
  9. Browns have a strong TE group. I think they could build a successful gameplan around them.
  10. It used to be a delay-of-game penalty to spike a ball with the clock running. I wonder when that changed.
  11. I think the Browns will lean on multiple TE formations and it will be effective for them. Their #4 TE, Steve Carlson, is from WNY and he plays mostly on special teams but he can play well from scrimmage if asked. Hooper, Bryant and Njoku are pretty solid TE trio in front of Carlson.
  12. I like the Colts as the 1st round opponent. The dome team with the ancient, immobile QB who offers little threat for making plays off script seems like a great matchup for our defense
  13. I expect him to be advertising pistachios. Soon he'll be the most famous pistachio farmer in the world.
  14. Against the Ravens in OT. One of Fitz' first starts so it was maybe 2010 ish. They were big underdogs and really deserved the win.
  15. Wherever I read it recently I don't recall, but, Diggs is the only player with 1300+ yds from scrimmage not to have lost a fumble. When he gives up on a play there are multiple defenders involved, he has gotten the key yardage to be gained and by doing so he protects both himself and the ball. I am totally ok with it. He is not pulling a Kyle Orton.
  16. they might be going live Waiting for plane?
  17. "...exhausted from being awesome." Me likey.
  18. Josh was hoping to throw a block.
  19. Josh @ 292 passing yards. Another 300 yard game coming on this drive. Game is not close enough to make 400 necessary. Ho hum.
  20. Denver in a tough place. Bills should feed here.
  21. Hughes looked like he was still pissed that he didn't get the score last week.
  22. Bills get the ball to start the half. Just do their thing.
