  1. I think it's more likely that the Bills' offense limits the Colts running game.
  2. Two thoughts. I 100% agree with you on this. I think it is a natural consequence of one failed hiring to make the next that has strengths that counter the previous one's weaknesses. In this case, discipline and attention to detail. The second thought was that he looked like Ron Howard's pumped up twin brother.
  3. This is the play that once seen can't be forgotten: Mark Ingram 3rd down conversion. A 14 yard gain on 3rd and 13 that extended the opening drive of the 3rd quarter that would give the Giants the lead and burn nearly 20% of the game clock. New York scoring drive: 75 yards, 14 plays, 9:29. New York 17, Buffalo 12 A run heavy, dink and dunk offense does not work without such a play. I think it was the most consequential play of the game next to Norwood's miss and the Bills' worst play of the game.
  4. I find it odd that she and Maddie Glab do these pods. The viewership numbers are not big a nd the production is very simple. I suspect that Kim enjoys doing them and she sees it as buying some good will among the NFL community. They have had many media types like Kay Adams, Mina Kimes, Charles Davis, etc. so I think she wants them to see how cool she is, especially among the billionaire NFL owner class.
  5. I'd bet GMFB has it on tomorrow morning. They like to showcase the personalities associated with the sport.
  6. I think it's because they seem to be having fun while stretching. That is not normal to my experience.
  7. If the Bills are in a two minute drill with the game on the line, I have more confidence if Cole is in the game. Those type drives against the Rams and Cardinals are exhibit A and B where Beasley was a big part of making it work.
  8. Without researching it, I suspect that their QB ELO rankings have a large weighting toward recent games. Josh definitielly had a more productive Dec/Jan.
  9. Considering that Josh does an interview about 4 times a week, you'd think someone would have asked him about Cade.
  10. When the Colts drafted Eason and there were not going to be any preseason games, Chad's time in Indy was done. He is among the more talented QBs not in the league but that's not saying much. I think the XFL restart will be his last chance to make some sort of pro career. I do not seek to crap all over people who are trying to overcome their issues and do believe people can grow. Either you believe in redemption or not. We certainly are not in position to judge where he is at but his time with the Colts probably did him some good. I never read anything that suggested he was lazy or lacked passion for the game. Quite the opposite. I wish him well.
  11. Before the season started, one of our resident TBD Nostradimi (you know who you are) suggested that it would be just like the Bills to have an all-time great season when it appeared likely that none (not many) of us could/would witness it in our preferred, communal, in-person manner due to the pandemic. Feeling good about the Bills prospects for this year at that time, I made a mental note of the spirit of that thought connecting it to the person who made it. I do not normally pay much attention to the Super Bowl #'s, other than XXV thru XXVIII, but I think most all fans will remember the team that wins it this year. This Super Bowl champion will be remembered by most all NFL fans as the team that won it THAT year. But without thinking much of it prior, I just realized that this one is LV, 55. It struck me as a sign so I felt the need to create a new profile picture.
  12. ALL 3 GAMES ON COMMERCIAL BREAK. I hate that.
  13. Safety would be nice here. Maybe Tua cracks.
  14. The Goo Goo Dolls' Better Days was used post Katrina by CNN for relief efforts and by the Sabres in 2007 for their playoff run. Full of hope and provides a challenge to the listener to make a difference, it can't help but put one in a better mindset. QUEST FOR THE CUP: Goo Goo Dolls Buffalo Sabres, Better Days - Bing video
  15. Why is it friend of a friend is usually first in with the story as in the Ed Oliver blood test? Feel bad for Fitz. He is running short of a shot at postseason opportunity.
  16. It was short so I watched it. Just as I thought, he made no mention of the blocked punt last year. Any astute analysis of this play that does not mention last year's play is not so astute, imo. It was a huge play last year and the Bills were suitably embarrassed by it. I wonder how many times they ran this play in practice since then. is Being supremely prepared to handle a situation is not arrogance.
  17. We are on the verge of being in a world where we will no longer need to hear about how they could have drafted Mahomes but traded down instead. I never liked the point anyways because choosing the next high draft choice QB was always a job better left to the next GM and staff. I will be ok with it in terms of telling the story about how this current team was built but we should not be exposed ever again to this story told as some sort of a franchise altering error. Only really lame thinkers would cling to that opinion and I do know there will always be some of those people around.
  18. The NFL passer rating is a poor measure for QBs with actual running ability that their teams rely upon. Scoring a TD or two via run does nothing to elevate the rating but sure means something to their teams chances to win. Scrambling to avoid a sack and then throwing the ball away hurts the passer rating. I hate the mystery meat of tQBR but that at least tries to incorporate everything a QB does in every game situation. I suspect those tQBR numbers would look more stable than NFL passer rating.
  19. Yes. Yes we do. Our Bills are real and they are spectacular!
  20. I got here late but I knew I would find this somewhere in the thread. This will be a GIF that will enter classic status very quickly.
  21. To all those saying Barkley its trash, I say we have seen him exactly one time with the first unit and a full week of practice. He was very good that game.
  22. Stabler underhanded it forward while under tackle and Pete Banaszak had the ball in both hands and flipped it forward where Casper kicked and batted into the endzone for the recovery TD which covered 24 yards. The officiating crew did not rule any of these as intentional which would have ended the play. Thus, I thought the rule change made as a result applied to forward fumbles only and not backwards ones too.
  23. I am old and I remember the play. That involved 2 phony forward flips of the ball to advance it toward the endzone for the TD with 10 seconds to go. I thought the rule made a distinction about the direction of the fumble. It does not.
