  1. There will be a change in ownership. Ralph will stop traveling to Buffalo because of the hostile crowds and his age. Therefore, the change is that he will become an absentee owner.
  2. If you were a multimillionaire, big name head coach - who has had no life but football for many years - and you have achieved the recognition, status and respect you so desire, would you sell it for ten million dollars by spending a year or two in Buffalo in an organization not built to win? You lose everything that matters as your reputation plummets. Do you think these guys would take such a risk when they don't need the money? They can make six million a year working for an organization that is geared to win.
  3. Actually, he never moved out of the sales office. There has been a mannequin in the GMs office ever since Ralph made the decision to go without one. Correction: he made the decision to go without one when he asked Levy to sit in that office for two years to calm the fans down. He just figured out a way to make the bottom line even healthier in 2009, by using the mannequin. I'll bet he didn't pay Brandon any more money this year.
  4. It's sad to say, but I am looking forward to the season ending. I'll still enjoy watching football, just not the Bills. The reason why I am looking forward to after the Bills' season is over is because even though I am convinced I will be unhappy with the staff changes the Bills make, I want so badly to be wrong about how little will really change. I keep wondering, will there be a new GM? If so, will he be qualified for the job? Will it be a puppet position or will the guy be given the power to do what needs to be done? I don't care whether the GM or the new coach has more power, but will they work well together? Will the new coach really be someone who can and will change the team psych, image, intensity, conditioning and schemes? Will this result in better drafting and acquistions through free agency? Finally, will the outcome be a competitive team that will actually beat some teams with winning records? Surprise me, Bills. Please, surprise me.
  5. Most of your points are good ones, but I remind you that if a deal does not get done between the league and the union, the free agent market will dry up. The additional players that teams can peg as "franchis" or "transitional", and the low offer needed for teams to hold onto restricted free agents will create a shortage of players available to move to new teams. Time is running out.
  6. I'll take it. I have no job right now, so they wouldn't even have to wait until the end of the season.
  7. He has been signed to hold a clipboard. I hope he does get to play, but it will only happen in a disaster situation. You guys are like vultures waiting for Edwards to die so you can gnaw on his bones. As I've said before, I can't tell if he (or any other sacrificial QB the Bills throw out there) would have been any good, but don't hate the guy. The Bills are QB killers right now. Brohm is next, then maybe Hamdan, then whomever else they bring in. Until they fix this plane, it'll never get off the ground, so I feel sorry for these guys trying to play with the deck stacked against them.
  8. I'm not buying that. The best athletes often are among the players who keep themselves in the best shape, so it appears that what you said is the case. But in reality, there are a lot of average players who have long careers partially because they have less injuries, because they keep themselves in great shape. Some teams demand that all their players stay in the best shape possible and some (like the Bills) do not. I agree with those who state that this influences how many major injuries a team averages per season. One ugly, injury prone season can happen to any team. But the Bills have shown a trend of a lot of major injuries during all of Jauron's years here. Therefore, I believe the strength and conditioning program has been a factor.
  9. I sincerely hope those who predict a QB will be drafted are wrong. The O-line, D-line and LB should be the only focus on the first day of drafting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Wood will be okay, and he and Levitre develop into the solid players some think they will be. If our draft and free agent activity is devoted to the aforementioned positions, we may be able to develop a number of 10-year+ players who can stabilize this team. It would be great if we can get some "skill position" studs, but not at the expense of ignoring the priority holes to fill.
  10. It takes time for the Football Gods to brew up a proper curse. I think what really pissed them off is Ralph's comment when refusing to continue to sell the naming rights. He said the stadium should not be named for an individual. Then the stadium gets named after him. He's a liar and an egomaniac.
  11. How are we doing? Have we arrived at a consensus yet? I'm soon going to be celebrating my second birthday since this subject was raised and I'm afraid I may not live to hear the last of it. How about if we just agree to disagree?
  12. Well, we said that is the only way they will let Brohm start. Now we get to watch the new franchise quarterback (or bust).

  14. Sounds like a college program that is a perrenial loser. Wait, maybe that's what we have.
  15. No surprises, not entertaining and the neighbors have stopped teasing me about the team. Now they act sympathetic because the Bills are pathetic. I liked it better when they didn't feel sorry for me. I don't know what meh means, but it sounds strangely appropriate.
  16. Everything is going to change for him. He is going to settle down and be a good guy, because he is getting married. He's finally going to tie the knot with his college sweetheart: Ann Onymous.
  17. Brohm is finished in Buffalo. We have given him enough time to develop and he has failed. Oops! That's next year's thread. I'm getting ahead of myself.
  18. You've got me. I said it every year up until 2009. This year I couldn't even muster a decent delusion.
  19. Is this the kind of discussion we are reduced to having? What's next? Comparing how Millen destroyed Detroit to what has happened with the Bills? I think I'm going to be sick.
  20. Good point. We may have to get a free agent QB to cover the position for a year or two. Kerry Collins will probably be available, or someone else who is an average QB. The offensive line and defensive front seven MUST be the priority in the draft and free agent market. Some of our young guys on the OL may be great in another year or two, but even if we have to carry nine guys, that O-line needs to be strengthened. On defense, we really need to switch to a 3-4, and get bigger in the middle and at linebacker. I don't know if Maybin can be a factor, but the QBs in our division will continue to eat our lunch if we do not get some real pass rushers. Still, I believe we have such an anemic offensive strategy, that a better coaching staff might actually have our present roster much more competitive than they have looked. Enough with the rookie offensive coordinators and cast off head coaches. They would may the pro bowl team look bad.
  21. Have you seen those commercials on TV about Windows 7, where each shmuck interviewed thinks he influenced the decisions about which features are included in the new software? Well if Ralph does sell the team, I made it happen. I wrote a letter to Santa Clause promising never to get drunk again if Ralph sells the team to owners who will keep it in Buffalo. Hmmm... if it happens, then I'll have to go back to believing in Santa Clause, too. This could change my whole life around. Be right back, I have to run out and buy a lottery ticket right now.
  22. The best thing they can do with Brohm is pack him in ice until next season, then let him try to win the QB job in training camp. If they play him now, the fans that hope he is the messiah will lose hope, the O-line will get him killed and he will become the record-breaking next guy the Bills put on IR. If a guy gets put on IR when he is dead, how long do they have to keep paying him?
