  1. Yeah, I work with various engineering and surveying firms and I get it. I wonder if there is some sort of funding mechanism that prevents the Bills from taking ownership of the products and/or release them to the public until that deal is signed.
  2. Its likely that these things have been accomplished by Populous or whatever, but they haven't been paid the full amount (maybe its on contingency or something). The Bills wont/cant cover the whole contract amount until these long-form documents are completed (hopefully December now). Once the funding is freed up, the Bills can pay Populous, the model/renderings are delivered, and the Bills release them to the public. They were probably waiting for this, but someone somewhere got antsy to release them today, October 27th
  3. I agree. These 2 images seem purposely obscured and basic. Furthermore, lots of things seem out of proportion. I thought the big reveal would show a lot of detail, including concourses. They must have gotten pressured to release something, either internally or from politicians. They provided the bare minimum, plus those two panels of weird platitudes. This thing is supposed to break ground in months. Im sure there are very detailed shop drawings and renderings out there. This is the first time I have felt a little nervous that all is not so smooth.
  4. The ribbon board on the far end zone side is starting to bother me. Its thickkkkk
  5. Id say itll be pretty cool.... depending on how severe that grade on the lower bowl is. Those huge gaps in the corners make me nervous too. From the rendering, they seem unsightly.
  6. This year (and last year) is probably closest to 1991. The Bills were probably at their peak. They came off a great season/playoff run, and just lost on the last play of arguably the best Superbowl ever (at that time). They were preseason favorite. The problem is, Washington came out of nowhere and rolled the NFL that season. All the other superbowl years we had the 49ers out there, followed by the Cowboys who were usually more of a favorite. We always had a few NFC teams that we dreaded seeing in the eventual Superbowl. Also, the NFL had a nice SB winning streak, many being blowouts. I dont remember the Bills ever being this much in front of the competition for so long. The WNY vibe in my opinion is even greater now than then as far as hopes to win the Superbowl (outside of between 51-3 and XXV). The "90s Bills" won games in a lot of ways, but they really didnt smash teams on a regular basis like these Bills do. IMO, if the Bills finish the job here, they will be regarded as one of the greatest teams in NFL history.
  7. Tunnels are fine... but those tunnels are built maybe thinking teams will have Iron Giant players by 2026.
  8. They should have waited until they had a better package. Im kind of shocked that this is it for now. That outside view is from a half mile away (but at least we can see the cool Buffalo). But its like the stadium itself is intentionally obscured and blurry. The same goes for the internal view. Just a ton of sky in there and you cannot really see any detail. A lot of the perspective there is out of whack too (like the flat seats in the lower left corner.) As far as the general design itself? I think it might be fine once I see more detail. Steep/stacked seats are probably my #1 feature to bring everyone close to the action aud-style. Upper scoreboard end might be cool, but I cant figure out what anything is there. One thing that looks kind of messed up is the empty slices in the corners. Why?!
  9. They wont though. Belichick and the roster is just good enough to stay +/- a few games of .500. Good enough to stay in the hunt and maybe grab a wild card spot here and there.... but not bad enough to have a serious crack at premier pick(s) (aka QB). They will probably beat the Jets next week to get to 4-4. Whoever starts at QB will look serviceable and many people will compare him to 2001 Brady or Josh Allen's stats in his 1st year. This is the purgatory we lived in as Bills fans for too long. Debating over EJ Manuel, Trent Edwards, and JP Losman. Watching a sound running game with a decent defense make up for deficient QB play in the eternal quest for a 1st round playoff exit... while Tom brady and Payton Manning Rothlisberger, (and Rivers) were playing in all the games that mattered. Also, in defense of Jones on that slide... It kind of looks like in fast motion, he slid, his ankle/leg was in danger of sticking/rolling under, and he quickly lifted his leg to avoid injury.
  10. Another tom brady is so far fetched. That entire thing, and the length of that dynasty in the cap era is unprecedented. It was also aided by the jets, dolphins, and bills effectively going dormant for almost 2 decades. If I were a pats fan, with a good qb draft coming up, I'm hoping neither qb is the starter in 2023. The afc right now is a track meet with the qb situations (as well as the top handful of wr and te in the league).
  11. I deal with a Patriots fan in a different forum. Last season he was "getting serious 2001 vibes", and was so excited for the future. Last night he chimed in after zappe had his drive. Said he was never so excited for the future, this kid has got it, and he will lead us to the "promise" land. Lol. They think Tom bradys are all just sitting out there, waiting for a geriatric belichick to stumble on him and somehow unlock the inner tb12.
  12. Zappe's ceiling is Gardner minshew
  13. Alice In Chains uplugged
  14. Brady overstayed his career by a season (probably 2). Could have/should have rode off after his TB Superbowl. He is looking really old and tired now, and whatever plastic surgery he has had done is making him look like a characture. I wonder if he can do the front office thing and channel that competitive energy into that. Not sure it would work out though as he might be too demanding of the players.
  15. In Nashville's case, a covered or retractable facility makes sense. They will host Superbowls and it is an attractive venue/host city for the NFL. NCAA Football conferences and teams will schedule large-ticket games there. They will also be on the short list for other large-scale events. Wrestlemania, Final Four, etc Unfortunately, none of these are/were a realistic possibility for Buffalo. Nashville is a very attractive, fun, magnet-type of city and has become kind of the Vegas of the East. It could actually compete with the venues in Atlanta, Dallas, LA, Vegas for events.
  16. I dont think any objective person would lay money down on the Eagles playing the Bills on a neutral field. Id say the Bills would also be favored in the Linc.
  17. tire fire
  18. Take wins and losses out of it. Even take fairness and equity out of it... Purposely microwaving the visiting team for 3+ hours is dangerous and unethical. The NFL needs to do something before somebody drops dead.
  19. As mentioned, it had an extensive renovation, as did Lambeau and Soldier Field. In 2 of those cases, there has been calls for a new facility. I see tennessee is going to build one to replace a 23 year old facility too. As much as I love Rich Stadium... building anew is the right play. the costs are fairly comparable. In the event of a renovation, the calls for a new stadium would/could be renewed in 10, 15, 20 years. Or at least more likely than a new stadium.
  20. What a great game and a big boy win. The Bills have a clear look at a run here for the #1 spot in the AFC. Really would like to see Mahomes and the Chiefs have to play here.
  21. I always had a soft spot for the Chiefs. Other than the rivalry based on both teams' standing, I dont have much animosity.
  22. My guess, is he has all the stuff that has been discussed behind the scenes to protect the shield. Cover-ups for things like spygate, head injury stuff, kneeling stuff, domestic violence issues, etc. He has threatened to pull the lid off all that stuff that is discussed in confidence. On the side, he probably has some unsavory stuff about owners such as Jones, Irsay, etc. Infidelity stuff, private things, all that. Coming public with all this is/would be a scum bag move.
  23. He did apologize after the game. But yeah, he deserves punishment. I dont want to make a rash character judgement on that though. In the heat of a very tough and disappointing game/ending. The guy seemed to come out of nowhere and appear right in his way... a split second decision to shove him. Very poor decision, bad restraint...
  24. Chiefs look uninspired while the raiders show urgency on every play
