  1. id like to see how the schedule shakes out, how the draft goes, how the Peters situation gets handled by both sides, and whether or not any more serious personnel moves are made.
  2. it was a really cruel effect up to 5-1 this year. The excitement, national attention, all the positive stories, etc. Then we are stuck back on Gilligan's Island again. It is very frustrating. This year i am again hoping for the best, but if I had to bet on it, it wont be a good season. Russ Brandon is in over his head in the AFC East, and I really dont feel Wilson's objective is to win.
  3. Im not so sure it originated here. It was on a few other message boards I visit. Channel 2 called Ralph Wilson that late? Ouch. Im glad its false. He deserves to see himself enshrined.
  4. wow. He wasnt even good in his prime. Gotta love McGahee working hard for his team...
  5. whatever washed up player signs with the Patriots will just join Bruschi's roids program and reclaim some production
  6. they beat Akron this year in multiple overtimes, in the last game ever at the Rubber Bowl. Are you talking about the Kent State game?
  7. If you take the value of the team, you would have to raise approximately $900 Million Dollars. For one owner to own 30%, they would have to pay $270 Million. So if the NFL felt charitable enough to allow this, but made the stipulation that one person had to own 30%, 3,150,000 shares at $200.00/pop would have to be sold. But yeah. I guess if a large-investment owner were required, they would have to collect some return.
  8. lol. live internet voting for sharholders for every play call. No, really, it would be relatively dry voting. Probably not even for coaching positions or GM positions. Mostly to elect 'the board' and how to allocate profits.
  9. it doesnt seem to work (at least in the Packers' case) that it is an investment so to speak. You own the team, the shares dont increase in value and you cant sell. The profits go directly back into the team. Some 'heavily invested' parties would probably act as the CEO. Shareholders would vote on certain issues, probably along the lines of where to invest the revenues. so all you would get for the 'investment' is the bragging rights you are part owner, and voting rights.
  10. The OP says at each position
  11. Yes. There is a maximum of 30, 35, or 38 (I cant remember which) owners allowed. One of them muct own at least 30%. So the league would have to make an exception to the rule if this were ever going to have a chance.
  12. That Starks really looks like he has the tools, but I have no clue how that translates to the NFL level. It would be really nice to see him make a career as an NFL starter.

  14. Yes, I would like people in the area to hold the public leaders accountable for this and make sure they are going to bat for us. Let them know votes are depending on what happens with the Bills. It would be better if we had a rough sketch of structure, a monstrous list of shares people pledged to buy, and public support. That would give the politicians legs to use, and give the NFL a rough time to not consider the options.
  15. Didnt Goodell leave the door ajar as far as considering the possibility of public ownership/private hybrid? or was that schumer
  16. I agree with you. The time to start grassroots movement is now. I wish someone would have the time and motivation to start this. People can work table at events in and around Buffalo, set up a web site, etc. You can take names and addresses of pledges who would buy X number of shares at X dollars. You can make a goal, some kind of rough balance sheets, a general company constitution, etc. I think that the local media would prop this movement up big time and I would be confident it could grab the attention of all the players who would like the Bills to be committed to Buffalo (schumer, Kelly, kemp, thomas, golisano, etc). The time is now to act. Forces are mobilizing to take the team away. We can do something to make it more difficult.
  17. And dont forget the free college education Im sure he didnt bother to think twice about. Granted many NFL players dont utilize that, but it was there. Didnt care? Fine, he had the talent and opportunity to make enough money in a few short years to set himself and his family up for life, all while being famous. There is no excuse for this guy.
  18. I just totally owned someone at work. Another Bills fan was explaining how sick he is that they got Owens, and another Co-worker was putting him down. I stood up and asked if they heard he was getting an award today for raising Alzheimer's awareness, and I wondered why ESPN doesnt report that. Instead, its a top story that he is missing an optional work out. Shut them right up.
  19. I dont feel bad for this dum-dum whatsoever. The guy has had every golden opportunity in life and has wasted it all somewhat gradually, with plenty of warnings. He deserves anything coming to him. I just wish the best for all the kids who have this scumbag as a father.
  20. How many days after the Monday night game, does the official issue the apology to the Bills for mis-interpreting the 'feet on the ground' rule.
  21. I would likely be done with the NFL. If not, I would join the Dog Pound
  22. he was in such great shape last season, I dont see any need for him to work out.
  23. honestly i dont think anyone would go
  24. why isnt this called the Wilfork rule?
