number of people that think bills stay

Raiders filling the LA gap possibly too. -
the decision isnt between keeping the stadium in orchard park and putting a new shiny one in NF. The decision would be new facility (somewhere) vs. RWS in Orchard Park. Then the decision would be where. Whether the Buffalo waterfront, OP, or elsewhere. In this case, it would be extremely probable it would be located in Erie County, and a good chance in Buffalo.

Buffalo to play outside the Ralph post season?
May Day 10 replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know if they sold out, Tampa went to the wire last year. I remember later in the week there was trouble because they werent selling out, and they were banning people from out of state (Giants fans) from buying tickets -
Nothing to do with this poll. I could care less... But ESPN sucks IMO. I rarely turn it on, and its not even on my normal 'rotation' of channel flipping. College Football Gameday is one of the best shows on TV though. I wish there was a legitimate competitor to ESPN who gained nearly as much power. Like Foxnews to CNN type of deal. hehe. One station could side with players, and the other with owners.

Buffalo to play outside the Ralph post season?

there are kids who are 14 who have never been alive for a Bills playoff win. -
I live with my girlfriend. We are basically living the married life for all intents and purposes. She really has no problem with me playing video games. She understands and usually goes into the bedroom to watch TV and/or read/cruise the internet while I am playing. Every once in awhile, I find a game she enjoys and she will play too.

I thought that was with SF. Then Moulds started tinkering with the same idea.

OK, 34. I understand that. I would take NF over Toronto or anywhere not in WNY for sure. If they announce tomorrow they are building the Bills a new stadium in Niagara Falls Id be thrilled. It could work. But in the unlikely event a stadium gets funded, I cant see them not putting it in Buffalo proper.

Im 30 and play video games. On My Madden I played 1 season, drafted, played another season, drafted, then I finished my NCAA 09 season. I uploaded the seniors into Madden, so in my 3rd Madden season which is 2010, I am scouting the current draft class, which I already played on NCAA. My XBox football universe is like the Lost version. All sorts of time paradox. The draft class actually came out pretty realistically. NCAA 09 destroys Madden btw

it looks like you are the one with no argument trying to get a rise out of people. None of the "reasons" to put a stadium in NF make sense. They couldnt even renovate sal maglie stadium to keep a NY Penn League team there. They cant even renovate Hyde Park rink in 20 years. I was up there near NF Blvd and Military a couple weeks ago, and the potholes up there are an embarassment and you wonder how they would be allowed to keep getting worse in Niagara Falls' "shopping" district. Buffalo does has its problems, but has groups working toward improving things, and you do see some improvement. Also, where the stadium is now is fine. I have my doubts that NYS and/or Buffalo would be able to get it done. Niagara Falls is a near impossibility. On top of that, property taxes are worse in Niagara County. And I still dont understand why they would put a stadium there besides the fact that you want it.

youre being sarcastic right? They alse show an overhead of the Buffalo area, and they show someone at Anchor Bar flipping wings. Maybe they should build the new stadium attached to the Anchor Bar for 'marketing'. if they need to use the falls for marketing then the team is already dead. no way the Falls ever comes close to happening.

Putting the team in Niagara Falls is a joke. an impossible dream pushed by its residents. its worthy of thought, but shouldnt get very far. how is niagara falls closer to Canada than Buffalo? niagara county is the one place property taxes are worse than Erie County the city on the surface and the air is disgusting. You cant spend more than an hour or so outside without feeling sick in parts. Most places in the city absolutely smell. How is putting the team near a tourist attraction going to help? Are the bills going to have a huge influx of Korean tourist family season ticket holders? it would be a horrible nightmare getting to/leaving games. If there is a government even more incompetent than any in Erie County, its that of Niagara Falls. A lot would need to happen for this. and it will never happen. They cant even improve the Hyde Park rinks I live in Grand Island. Closer to NF. It would make my gameday commutes easier. But horrible idea. If there is ever a new stadium, I guarantee it will be in Erie County.

its closer to Canada I guess

The 2009 Buffalo Bills season expectation
May Day 10 replied to Romeo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
id like to see how the schedule shakes out, how the draft goes, how the Peters situation gets handled by both sides, and whether or not any more serious personnel moves are made. -
it was a really cruel effect up to 5-1 this year. The excitement, national attention, all the positive stories, etc. Then we are stuck back on Gilligan's Island again. It is very frustrating. This year i am again hoping for the best, but if I had to bet on it, it wont be a good season. Russ Brandon is in over his head in the AFC East, and I really dont feel Wilson's objective is to win.
-
Im not so sure it originated here. It was on a few other message boards I visit. Channel 2 called Ralph Wilson that late? Ouch. Im glad its false. He deserves to see himself enshrined.

A Couple Of Unbelievable Things From Rotoworld.

wow. He wasnt even good in his prime. Gotta love McGahee working hard for his team... -
whatever washed up player signs with the Patriots will just join Bruschi's roids program and reclaim some production

they beat Akron this year in multiple overtimes, in the last game ever at the Rubber Bowl. Are you talking about the Kent State game?

If you take the value of the team, you would have to raise approximately $900 Million Dollars. For one owner to own 30%, they would have to pay $270 Million. So if the NFL felt charitable enough to allow this, but made the stipulation that one person had to own 30%, 3,150,000 shares at $200.00/pop would have to be sold. But yeah. I guess if a large-investment owner were required, they would have to collect some return.
-
lol. live internet voting for sharholders for every play call. No, really, it would be relatively dry voting. Probably not even for coaching positions or GM positions. Mostly to elect 'the board' and how to allocate profits.
-
it doesnt seem to work (at least in the Packers' case) that it is an investment so to speak. You own the team, the shares dont increase in value and you cant sell. The profits go directly back into the team. Some 'heavily invested' parties would probably act as the CEO. Shareholders would vote on certain issues, probably along the lines of where to invest the revenues. so all you would get for the 'investment' is the bragging rights you are part owner, and voting rights.
