  1. A regional sports network in Buffalo/WNY wouldnt surprise me. It would probably need the Sabres to be rid of MSG. You would have the Sabres, Bandits, UB Sports (which is much bigger now), and possibly some Syracuse U sports. Sprinkle in some International League Baseball, and the American Hockey League. Some Bills and Sabres weekly shows along with old games/features, etc.. I think that network gets a lot of viewing in Buffalo (and those with Satellites like me).
  2. Golisano is fighting for us New Yorkers. We should do as he says politically.
  3. if the intentions are truly to bring Toronto into the fold for fan/corporate support IN BUFFALO, then yes its a good thing they are there. I and others remain skeptical that the end game is expecting people from Toronto to support the Buffalo Bills as a home team.
  4. I agree that we have an awesome, dingy, special place and atmosphere at RWS. A guy for ESPN 2nd page on espn.com wrote a huge article about NFL Atmosphere and basically gave the Bills' game day atmosphere huge props. i work with a bunch of fans of different teams. they all have been to at least a game in Buffalo and rave about the entire game day experience. A few of my Jets fan friends dropped their season tickets because they have started to put their foot on their gameday experience. A lot of these newer venues you find a stratified arrangement of fans. The wealthier the person, the closer to the field. In Buffalo this isnt the case and everyone is into the game. Combine that with weather, outdoors, etc and its awesome. If Jim Kelly ends up saving the Bills, I really hope they keep the stadium as it is.
  5. Agreed. I wish everyone would do this
  6. I think you have it kind of wrong. Its not necessarily the people in Buffalo who are incapable. Its the lack of the good jobs, which leads to a lot of college grads leaving town. If the opportunities were there, people would remain. Its not like companies dont base operations in Buffalo because the people are dumb and incapable. And Zonabb-- Honestly I would definitely pay more for season tickets if I had to... Any sign of success and suddenly everyone's pockets get deep. When the Bills were 3-0, 4-1, etc... I had many friends asking me to try to procure tickets. The secondary market was so outrageous it was unbelievable.
  7. I disagree with you. I think its 9 parts Belicheat, 1 part Brady.
  8. I wish I could believe you. I want to believe you. But I cant
  9. I went to college there. The OP speaks the truth. It seems odd that they would hold training camp there.
  10. yeah, the DVR takes away much of the need for OnDemand. Howard TV is still exclusive to On Demand though. But again, its nowhere near enough incentive. Here in Philly, local sports teams are carried on Comcast Sports, so if you dont have Comcast Cable, you cannot watch the Phillies and Flyers even though I subscribe to Center Ice and Extra Innings. I feel that is BS to pigeon-hole local subscribers.
  11. I agree with everything Fezmid said. I will say that every cable company I have had to deal with has tried to stick it in my a@@ at some point. Im sure there are some horror stories with Direct TV, but their customer service is 1,000,000X better than any cable company, specifically CONcast, Charter, and TW. I really think a lot of these companies are used to having a near monopoly and cant take the competition because their product and business structure are inferior. Picture quality of DirecTV kills any cable I have ever seen. Many more HD channels. The ONLY thing cable has that is better is On Demand and Howard TV. For me, thats nowhere near worth having a company increase my rates, bill extra charges, while taking away stations. I cant speak for or against FIOS... other than their internet service is good
  12. when I opened the thread I was wishing to see a list of all the games
  13. awesome. They sound like really good people (Aaron and his dad). After reading this, Im very glad to have him on the Bills. good writing there too.
  14. Nice column by Vic Carucci.
  15. Nice, she found Carlton Bailey!!!
  16. if its true, its really awful. I am one of those who question the way Mr. Wilson is 'protecting his legacy' with the Bills. But this kind of misfortune you never wish on your worst enemy. Hopefully its untrue, and hopefully Ralph is fully healthy. Love him or hate him, imagine him holding a lombardi trophy with a huge smile next to a bunch of celebratory Buffalo Bills. He kind of deserves it.
  17. I love Rich Stadium we are all going to be very sorry when its gone.
  18. my personal jury is out, but here is mr graham's analysis on the AFC East http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nflnation?tag=a...20analysis%2009
